I’ve been blessed by two of Larson’s other books, Your Beautiful Purpose and Your Best Yes. I picked this book up not long after it came out and even read the first couple of pages. I’m not even sure why I stopped. Well, I wasn’t sure until October when I decided that it was going to be the main book I studied during a time I used to refocus on God. I had been feeling joyless and discouraged. This book helped turn it all around.
This book is about prayers, but it is also a reminder of the God we serve. I realized, do to some wounds life had inflicted, I had stopped asking for things. My prayers were small because I had forgotten that I serve the One who holds all power and knowledge. I hadn’t even realized it until I was reading.
Larson didn’t say that we would always get what we wanted when we wanted it. Instead, she led my heart through a journey to see a better picture of what prayer is and how it affects me. She writes as if we are sitting across from each other, having tea. One sister in Christ to another. She is gentle, firm, and honest.
I could go on about this book for a long time. I’ll just leave by saying that it was my absolute favorite book of 2018. I highly recommend it to every Christian woman.

Susie Larson has become one of my favorite Christian authors. She is biblical, clear and includes many real life instances to explain her point. This book is encouraging as well as instructive daring the reader to pray boldly, specifically and from a place of victory, to name just a few. Susie doesn't just give concepts or platitudes, but heartfelt wisdom based on the Scriptures.

A powerful bible study - started this just before I knew I was going to have knee replacement surgery. Susie Larson's practical approach to prayer really helped me through the hard times.

I was blessed to receive an advanced copy from Bethany House Publishers in exchange for my honest review. This is not the first book of Susie's that I have read. I loved this book! As I turned the pages I felt so many times like we were sitting across the table talking and praying together. Susie reminds us that we can talk to Him through prayer and that nobody loves us more than He does. We are heirs of the kingdom of God. One of the lines that stuck out to me as I read Susie's book was: "We're most powerful in prayer when we pray God's Word and rely on His promises." Another line that stuck out for me was: "Nobody loves you like God. Nobody keeps his or her promises like God does. And nobody has the wisdom to intervene at just the right time like God does, and like God will." I love how she ends each chapter with a prayer and a blessing! This is a book I will definitely use in making my prayer life better.

I bought this book to participate in a bible study group in my church. I loved this book. It encouraged and challenged me in many ways. It is easy to read and understand and makes you want to keep reading. I continue to use this book as a devotional now that the bible study is done.

One of the best books I have read on prayer! It's not so much about how to pray as to the perspective on prayer. It's deep yet she makes it totally relatable and understandable. So sound and I think I underlined half of it! A must read.

An incredible read! With care and concern for her readers, Susie Larson opens her heart and life to share thought-altering truths about talking with God. Then she boldly challenges us to dare to pray for more, to dare to pray for God's promises and victories, to dare to seek God's heart and confidently ask for Him to move. I was encouraged and challenged within these pages, finding multiple things in every chapter to highlight and underline. I look forward to refreshing my memory within these pages of not only who I am, not only Whose I am, but also what I am capable of within His loving arms and what He desires to do through me.

Deep and uplifting. If you are a Christian this book will lift you up out of our seat and have you running around the room. Many people come to religion thinking they are the lowest of the low and subsequently thinking the same about everyone else. Some people are hard on themselves and hard on others, they lose their compassion and they forget who they are. This book book will remind you fully who you are and what you should be doing,

It is an intense and not really for light reading, but it is the kind of book you could read again and again. When writing it the author had suffered some personal tragedy. I think she wrote is as much to lift herself up as it will you.

Powerfully Persuasive

This is the best book on prayer that I've read/listened to in years. It is especially helpful when we are navigating "through the wilderness" waiting for breakthroughs from God. Susie Larson reminds us over and over again that we are destined for eternity with the Lord, and so we must face the present with faith and persistence. Whenever I feel like giving up battling against my present difficulties, I will return to this book and its many wonderful examples of how to pray.

Beautifully written from a heart devoted to her Lord. Prayer is something ive always struggled with, putting words to thoughts and feelings tumbling around in my soul. But then im not much of a conversationalist either and maybe thats part of it. I enjoyed reading through this book and coming to terms with just how powerful and meaningful prayer is. Everything is backed bu Biblical principles and scripture.

A really powerful book that motivates us to pray with confidence. This book reminds us of our true identity in Jesus, as well the Lord’s heart towards us. He wants us to turn to Him with our worries. A bonus is that there is a prayer at the end of each chapter and there are also sample at the back of the book. Let us learn to come to God humbly, yet boldly, with all the things weighing on our hearts and minds.

Susie Larson is one of my favorite authors when it comes to spiritual growth. In this book Susie encourages the reader to pray bold, specific prayers and move from an orphan mentality to an heir mentality because as Christians we are a child of the King. She also discusses the things in our life that keep us from praying boldly. It has most certainly changed my prayer life.

Hallelujah, what a powerful book! I've had several opportunities to hear Susie Larson speak and have been blessed by her words and anointing every time. I thank God for her ministry and the impact it continues to have on so many lives, including mine. I will be reading this book again very soon - it's packed so full of goodness, I couldn't absorb it all at once.

It was okay. The format was a good study, with simple questions. I thought there was a lot that didn't pertain to everyone. So, parts were skipped over. Some people got more out of it then others. The reading also dragged on and didn't hold my attention.
