The progression of the story makes no sense this time around. It's barely funny or simply not logical. It's probably trying to go out with a bang, but it's managing only a sizzle. Oldman's realively cool power of time manipulation is reworked. The author actually tries to tie in a law of physics into this clear example of magic. Since when does magic have laws of physics? The Queen herself leads her troops to apprehend Oldman and again have access to his youth-restoring powers. In reality, Oldman planned to be captured to get closer to the Queen.Oldman convinces his childhood friend Owen to help in exchange for becoming king in the Queen's stead. Oldman is forced by the Queen to use his powers to make her younger. She threatens to kill Rebecca otherwise. Oldman's plan already involves having Rebecca die, though it's still a somewhat dramatic moment until Oldman revives her. Vincent and Neleh make their way to Oldman and the Queen, though their intervention is surprisingly useless. The scene has a lot of wasted potential, with the Queen's panick and anger, Oldman's despair, Rebecca's return to life. Everyone is sweating, except me. I'm just 'meh'. Then Rebecca punishes the Queen by slapping her... what a waste. Owen and Helen show up to complete the cast. Then the big reveal - Neleh is Helen from the future. But younger? Doesn't make a lot of sense yet, but sure, why not? And let's move onto something else. Owen is convinced that this is his time to become king. He now wants Oldman to shave 10 years from his life, for no reason whatsoever. But he threatens to kill Helen otherwise. Unexpectadly, she kills herself. This stopped making sense a while ago. Helen's death helps Oldman understand his power better - if he uses more power than is needed to resurrect someone, he also makes them younger. He does this to save Neleh. The Queen still wants the power for herself, so she interferes with Oldman's already poor control over the administration of his power. What results, again, makes no sense, but at least it's a bit funny. Oldman regains his youth, Neleh is safe, while both the Queen and Owen lose life force. At least Owen is king, while the Queen loses her mind after the ordeal. It couldn't have happened to bigger a-holes.
