I read the first Capes & Clockwork a couple of years ago, so I was excited to hear that a second volume was coming out. After reading it, the wait was worth it.
Capes & Clockwork 2, like the first is a collection of steampunk stores with a superhero twist. This one has more stories then the first. Some of the characters from the first make appearances and there are new ones.
Over all, this is a great collection. I enjoyed all the stories, some more than others. I was thrilled that my favorite character, Captain Amy made it into this one. Her story is a real tear jerker but so worth the read.
Roger Dawkins made his return and did so in style. Back Alley Battle Hym was a bit confusing until I saw that it is written as poetic song lyrics. Then the story jumped out as a fav.
John Hartness and Sean Taylor, two of my favorite writers have great stories.
Make sure you don’t miss this one.
