A world which is both greater…and yet also smaller…than he ever could imagine. He would have the opportunity to join them, and in this life, Ning swore to himself, he would never let himself be weak again!

The Era he was born into was a Desolate one, but Ning would make it his era.

- Quote: As the saying goes, a wall falls when many hands push on it.
- Thoughts: Good continuation of the story. With a plausible motive for the big bad guys not showing up and killing Ji Ning as he starts to get in their way.

Whole series seems to have devolved into being exclusively about a feud between Ji Ning and a petty clan which I found interminably dull. This feud has lasted around 7books now and I lost my interest in it a long time ago.

The fact that much more interesting stuff seems to be happening in the wider universe makes it all the more galling to have to put up with.

There were a few more twists and turns in this book. Ji Ning has become overpowered but there is a power creep that is built into these books. He has to face a lot more adversity in this book. Not much resolves unfortunately.

Overall fun, but parts of this series are gripping and parts of the series are dull.
