This refreshingly direct discussion of the often confusing world of love, sex, and relationships offers not just another set of rules but the principles God has established for all relationships. With clarity and a sharp wit, Dean Sherman helps readers build their life relationships upon God's logical, loving, and freeing precepts.
This is a fantastic book that I think can help anyone looking to gain a biblical view on relationships, learn to respect the opposite sex and dating as well as how to love God and others in relationships. Dean exposes society's addiction to love and what a danger it poses to effective Godly love. This is a must read for everyone looking to build healthy relationships throughout their lifetime.
This actually was one of the best books I've read on the topic. As usual, Dean Sherman builds his theses from a scriptural foundation, and uses scripture to tackle a major issue in our current culture. If you're a teen seeking to follow the Lord in relationships, this book is for you!
This is the best book I have read on dating and the principles behind dating. I only wish I didn't read through it in such a short time, but that's school life for you, so I will re read it. The reason I'm only giving it 4 stars is because the personal questions didn't really engage God in the answering process, most of them were just "what do you think" "how do you feel" "what do you believe" or "what can you do."
Very simple in some approaches. But also very practical for seeing God in all kinds of relationships in our lives. I find this book helpful for anyone who is healing from sexual sin, insecure about existing or future relationships, or maybe just all around confused on how a God centered relationship looks like.
My favourite line: "In the marriage ceremony, God himself is in attendance. He witnesses and seals the commitment a man and a woman make to each other."
A very clear and straight to the point book. I like it. :)
That's right. My token relationship book. It was surprisingly helpful... and I still remember some of the anecdotes, though I read it in high school. Oh so long ago.
