When I stumbled upon Taylor Swift: Country’s Sweetheart at my local thrift store, I wasn’t expecting much. Little did I know that this book would hold an incredible journey of self-doubt and resilience, heartbreak and music. Lexi Ryals writes of the early, budding career of one Taylor Swift. Published in 2008, Ryals likely never could have imagined the gob-smacking severity of this young girl’s fame and brilliance. From the school hallways, to the recording studio conference room where a young Taylor meets conniving snake bastard Scott Borschetta, Ryals brings readers along for the ride.

My personal favorite scene is when Scott lies to Taylor, claiming that her record went gold when it in fact, went platinum. Ryals’ poignant foreshadowing of Scott Borschetta being a lying mofo in this moment proves this book to be a revolutionary of it’s time and a must-read for Swifties everywhere.

I enjoyed reading this. I am a fan of Taylor Swift, and Lexi Ryals really did her homework, when it come to compiling quotes from various Taylor interviews. I just didn't like that she kept saying that she's really annoying.
Sadly, the book is from 2008, so it pretty much just covers the beginning of Taylor Swift's career.

read this when I was really into her music and when she first came out into the limelight . loved it but it was a bit cheesy and didn't have much of a one on one type of biography feel to it . but it was interesting .
