After proper consideration I've decided without doubt that this is the best work I've ever experienced.

The breathtaking art has the most expressive and well-thought-out lines with the best colors I've ever seen anywhere. Especially the green (my favorite color that I examine with extreme prejudice) on pages 30-31 and his use of night is also unmatched. Uniquely, he also draws the best sweat I've ever seen as large tear-shaped droplets. He also has the best command of nationality with both everyday representations and those appropriately drawn in caricature to brilliant effect!

Paringaux uses engagingly abrupt yet appropriately embellished writing that is perfect for the medium and it is so much better -and seemingly perfect- with Loustal's art than burdensome Jerome Charyn who annoys me as much as he delights. This story is mesmerizing and Paringaux uses a few art-only panels to trick the reader into false conclusions brilliantly. His characters are fascinating- examined in all angles and even those seen once in the background demand inspection. I have a lot more to say about the writing but I would need to cite examples which I will forego.

This story brings you to another place and time with the art and the words and actions do justice to the lavish settings and people within. The various degrees of love are startingly well presented with authenticity and uncanny wisdom of cause and effect. THIS IS A MASTERPIECE.

He makes you wonder why no other artist work looks like this because it is utterly magnificent! Inability? Respect? I'm glad because I love its singularity!

Magnificent drawings and dreamy scenario, that's a reason I still like comics...
