Lovely art, and writing in keeping with the series, this story covers a slave rebellion - a slave rebellion against the Vikings. It's dark and morally complex, and there's no attempt to give the reader easy answers. Very good stuff.
If you're a fan of the TV show, this is a very cool way to fill in the gaps between season 4 A and B. A nice story arch that I wish it'd have been explored in the show.
I was already immensely disappointed with season 4 of the series that I stopped watching the show all together. Do keep in mind that this show used to be one of my favorites and I was always super excited about it and so into it. That was when Athelstan was still alive and Ragnar's character actually still made sense. Lagertha's storyline in season 4 was incredibly upsetting and so not like her. Also I so can't stand Ragnar's youngest sons and I think their little shits...
