Daniella Brodsky is the bestselling author of dozens of contemporary romance novels--one of which has been adapted by Disney as the film, Beauty & The Briefcase, starring Hilary Duff (I know, right?!).
She writes sexy, sweet, intelligent romance that often takes readers into far-off destinations. This is because she’s lived all over the world, from New York to London to Sydney and Honolulu. She lives in Australia, and lots of her alpha males are Australian because let’s face it: they’re hot. And the accent doesn’t hurt either. That’s why she married one.
Daniella is an adjunct Creative Writing Lecturer at James Cook University and edits and teaches fiction craft at her Captain Cook Studio. A native New Yorker, she lives in Canberra, Australia, where she is writing her next contemporary romance novel in the FLAME SERIES: INSANELY HOT, THEN NOT, which launches in April and features a particularly epic bad boy billionaire come good.

This book was a little juvenile for me, mainly because it's about a girl who is in the start of her career as a writer but it was fun. I remember what it was like to start my first "real" job with no clue as to what I was supposed to do. The author captured the main characters spirit with all of her quirks and foibles and mader her really accessible and funny. I'm all about fun. It was an easy read - about 2 days. I found myself wanting her to pick the "right" guy...I think anyone who wants a vacation read will be happy with this book.
4.5 stars I feel like Bodsky as a voice that is distinctly hers. She writes novels that are emotional...mixing all the emotions together in a wonderful cocktail which entices the reader to drink in her stories. I think I felt a bit of everything while reading ON FIRE. I felt like it was a beautiful story of finding one's self and making so much more of yourself than ever dreamed possible. But it was more than that...deeper than that. I felt connected, engaged and entertained. Brodsky is a a talented story teller and one not to be missed! 4.5 stars
Sometimes a book just does not work for me. This was one of those books. I felt no connection to the characters nor did they seem to have a close connection to each other. I finished the book but found myself putting it down constantly to do something else. I should have cut my losses and stopped reading but I hate to quit on a book. I have had some get better and hoped this one might pull out a good ending to somewhat redeem it.
The editing is terrible and it is filled with mistakes of every kind! This book does not appear to have even been put through a simple spell check. I probably should have given this a one star rating but I did manage to finish it. Don’t waste your time on this one.
