The pacing of this manhwa is honestly all over the place, and at times it feels like a typical Korean melodrama taken to the extreme. I started this story feeling genuinely curious about where it would go, but that curiosity eventually turned into disappointment and frustration because of how the plot unfolded. What frustrated me the most were the characters, especially Hwajung and Haein’s mother. Both of them constantly interfere in Haein and Junyoung’s relationship, making it almost impossible for anything to progress naturally. Hwajung’s obsession with Junyoung goes as far as spreading lies, while Haein’s mother is entirely self-centered, using her daughter as a shield to protect herself and avoid responsibility. Their actions feel manipulative and exhausting to watch. I felt particularly bad for Junyoung. His entire life has been nothing but hardship. From being born as the son of a prostitute, to running away from home, losing his mother, and having his father imprisoned, it feels like tragedy follows him at every turn. While this makes his character sympathetic, it also becomes overwhelming because he’s rarely given any real relief or growth. The story itself has an interesting premise, and the emotional weight is there, but the execution falls short. The uneven pacing, frustrating character decisions, and constant interference prevent the narrative from reaching its full potential. Instead of feeling tragic in a meaningful way, the manhwa often feels unnecessarily stressful and draining.

I need answers! I think Kon- Woo was right about love being an egoist. I agree. I think he was sad but he understood what was going on when Hae-In chose her Jun-Young. I just wish she would have told him sooner. Really. Why do ppl not talk to each other in this manhwa? She could have told him openly. Fair and square. He would habe been heartbroken, maybe furious too, but he would have understood.
That´s why I think Kon- Woo was right when he said, that Hae-In betrayed him.
The end was too tragic and I (the reader) didn´t get a chance to recover from it. Instead I got a last page where Hae-In has a like 9 year old son. What happened? Hae-In and Jun-Young confessed their love along a train-rail-road after she wanted to jump in front of a train. - So what happened? They went to his room in his friends apartment and yeah, did it? ... Didn´t we learn that you should not have s*x after a trauma situation?! Because you are bound to do things you wouldn´t do in a normal state of mind.
I want a discussion! I have questions! I need answers! As much as I was invested in the characters over the course of the whole series, that ending knocked me off completely. Give it 20 more pages or so. PLEASE!
