The poems in this book speak about the details of an ordinary life, where pleasure and pain are seen as an inescapable part of existence. They engage with the fleeting moments and daily events that hold a greater significance than we often realise, or are too busy to notice. Many of these poems take us to a threshold where we are left to ponder the possibility of a greater whole in which our individual lives find fuller meaning. David lives in Essex and is a lecturer in 20th Century Modern Art at the Open University.
