Since losing the love of his life, the President of Company of Sinners MC, Colt, has closed his heart and mind to the prospect of ever loving again. But when Red, aka Ellie, the feisty, young redhead enters his world, she gets under his skin in the worst possible way. An opinionated woman, she's surly and grates on his last nerve. But he has to tolerate her to keep the peace in the club.
Ellie finds herself desperate for help when rival MC Loki's Legion begins to cause trouble for her family. The fact that Colt is the only person who fits the bill leaves a very bad taste in her mouth.
The two opposites clash, sparks begin to fly and the sexual chemistry caused by their love to hate relationship ignites. But will they leave devastation in their wake?
Colt believes that you only get the opportunity to find your soulmate and truly love once in your life. For him, he has already had that opportunity and lost it to cancer. His first love Maria, died four years ago.
In steps Ellie (Red), she’s fierce, protective, and opinionated. On top of that, she speaks her mind. This puts her and Colt on opposite sides of the universe since Ellie blames the Company of Sinners and Loki’s Legion for all of Chloe’s troubles as well as the damage that’s been done to Rose Acres by these two clubs street wars.
Only Ellie’s about to need to eat her words, Loki’s Legion has turned their attention to her families business and are trying to destroy it. The only option is to try to handle Loki’s by herself or turn to the Company of Sinners for help. Can Colt and Ellie find a way past the mistrust, pain, and anger to help her parents? And maybe find something more? Or in the end, will Loki’s Legion succeed in destroying her family and the love of a lifetime?
This is the second book I have read of Lissa Jay. I’m truly enjoying the Company of Sinners and their form of justice. I read this one wondering what would be the “flip” of the magnet sort of speak. What would be the moment when these two would go from hate to love. I had this book in my possession for less than 48 hours before I had it completed. It’s a great read that’s really hard to put down. It was worth the lost hours of sleep to finish it during the middle of a work week.
Ellie is best friends to Chloe a woman who has found herself a MC Man, Ellie doesnt understand it as she has heard all the Bad rumors and she jumps to conclusions about people in the group she doesnt know a thing about, especially the Prez Colt. Colt can not stand the red head who constantly is talking him down and being rude at every turn yet she turns him on constantly and he figures that maybe he needs to get her out of his system by sleeping with her. Both Colt and Ellie will be surprised at the feelings that grow between them, but in the end will they be relationship material?
What I enjoyed most about Prez is watching Colt being there at every turn to protect her from those in the other motorcycle gang, the gang that goes around taking what they want when they want it. Him also watching out for her parents and a good guy with a heart that has just been broken for a long time, seeing Ellie realize that maybe she jumped to conclusions with Colt with judging him without really knowing anything about him but learning every time they are together. Both Colt and Ellie getting a lesson in love and second chances.
This book is great, it had its ups and downs with both Colt and Ellie but when they finally realized what was important, it could be to late. This book has a woman Ellie who is an only child and helps her parents take care of their Hotel, Colt a man who has loved an will never love again yet he starts to feel for Ellie as he hasnt felt in years and it scares him, some thugs who are out to ruin Ellie's parents Hotel and watching as Colt steps in to help, some bad MC's in the other gang who keep making life hell at every turn, A love story. If you like stories like this, then Prez is a must!
Oh my gosh! This story is amazing!! Once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is only the second book I've read by Lissa Jay but I can say that I absolutely love her male characters. The outpouring of emotions her male characters show tug at my heartstrings. Their emotion is shown, not only to the female characters, but to the readers when we're reading the male POV. It draws me in and I feel more emotion myself reading the male POVs than I do the female POVs. How can you not love a hot, tough, and tatted up biker dude who has a soft emotional side?
In Prez, we get Ellie and Colt's story. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and the sex scenes are HOT! Normally, when a storyline goes back and forth many times from the characters hating each other to jumping their bones, it can get frustrating. It works with Ellie and Colt though. For one, when they come together, it's explosive. Also, we are given a good insight by the author into why they feel and act the way they do.
Prez is book three in the series but can be read as a standalone as the author does a great job of explaining the other characters and what happened in the first two books. This is done without feeling like it's hijacking this story. While you can read it as a standalone, if you read it first, I'd be surprised if you didn't want to go back and read the others. There are many more members of the Company of Sinners so I'm hoping we'll get at least a few more stories out of this series. *I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
This is the third book in this series, and what a wonderful story it is. Colt is just existing after his wife’s passing four years previously, but does not believe that anyone gets a second chance at love. That is until feisty Ellie aka Red, confronts him at the hospital, and blames his MC for everything that has happened to her BF. These two are totally not prepared for the attraction between them, and when Ellie’s parents business is in danger from another MC, she has nobody else to turn to apart from the Sinners. Will Ellie give up her hatred for the MC, and will Colt take a chance of a second time love?? You really don’t want to miss out on this amazing series, as you really need to read this for yourself. Lissa has done yet another fantastic job with this story, which is filled with angst, sex, emotion, love, and protective alpha male. This is a beautiful love story, and I cannot wait to read more in this series. I recommend Lissa’s work for all MC lovers out there!
Wow this series has been awesome! I've been eagerly waiting for Prez to be released and to finally get to read about Colt the president of Cosmic MC. The first thing that drew me to Colt was the fact that he was a guy that took the responsibility of every thing on his shoulders. He wrongly blamed himself for circumstances out of his control this tore at my heart. Although he could be brash at times when I understood more of his story he crept into my heart. This is a story of finding love for a second time full of hot, devouring spur of the moment sex scenes and characters that are feisty. I loved this book so much it was emotionally charged and gripping. I wish this series could go on and on. Any readers who like MC books this is one series not to be missed!!
Prez brings us bang up to date on the goings on within The Company of Sinners MC, and in particular the situation with its president, Colt. Colt is a complex character who is unable to forget the love of his life, and this affects a possible new love in the form of Ellie. Ellie needs help, and Colt is well placed to offer that help, if only she can see beyond the tattoos and motorbike.
The story is well written, it draws you in instantly and holds you tight until the end. Once again the author has produced a great storyline, well written new characters, and storylines for previous characters as well.
Many thanks to the publishers for providing a copy for an honest review.
I have really enjoyed this series and was looking forward to getting Colt’s story. Colt has always been a bit of a mystery. Keeping quiet for much of the time. He has appeared in both previous books in the Company of Sinners series but never given much away. He closed himself off to love a long time ago, but can the lovely Ellie reawaken that side of him? So many twists and turns along the way for this pair, but it is definitely worth the ride.
Loved Colt and Ellie they were really a perfect match, he was brash, arrogant and immature at times but you could really feel the underlying vulnerability, both characters evoke a range of feelings in the reader including anger, frustration and lots of hope, definitely worth a read. 4 **** brilliant stars...... Loved it I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This is a great addition to Lissa Jay's Bad Company series. Cain, Six, and now Colt have stolen my heart. I waited for this book and I was not disappointed!
