There’s a fine line between love and hate so they say and this concept is perfectly demonstrated in this story of a love triangle with a difference. It’s hard to think that three authors collaborated to write this book together, each taking the role of one of the characters, as it flowed so well. The story was dark with a supernatural twist but there were some sentimental moments which allowed me to really connect with the characters on an emotional level. The three authors were even good enough to give us a bonus at the end of the book in the form of three alternative endings. “Which one was your favourite?” I hear you ask. Well, I do have my own personal favourite… but that would be telling!

Like the authors I didn't know where this book was going but after the second chapter for Molly I was beginning to understand and enjoy it. By the second Jake chapter I was hooked.

The idea of the way these authors worked is novel for me...as it was for them. It works and resulted in a well told and written psychological thriller.

Now each time I read a book I will probably come up with alternative endings! I appreciate how difficult this must have been for them but they should give each other a clap on the back...it worked and it worked well.

This book grabs you right from the start. I couldn't imagine how the authors would resolve it. The concept of the three authors writing in turn is a difficult one, and they pulled it together pretty darned well. (I will say that I would have preferred the first of the alternative endings though.) Great story.

WOW!!!

This book was an amazing Read! The entire story is riveting, it's a combination of supernatural, and suspense. The characters will grab you. I found myself enthralled with Jake. It didn't end the way I thought it would, and neither did the alternate endings but it was still an incredible story! Three Musketeers Hoo Ra!

This is an unusual book, in that it has three authors who alternated chapters, each writing from one character’s point of view. I’ve heard of co-writing novels, but I’ve never before read the result of such a collaboration. I must confess, I was a bit skeptical going in, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I’m not usually a fan of first person point of view, but it was extremely effective in this case. There were many twists and turns, and each different agenda helped maintain interest. There are three alternate, and quite different, endings, and it is amusing to try to make all the pieces fit in your own mind. I did find the resolution the weakest part of the book, but overall, this was a very good read, especially for those interested in the paranormal.

Although it was a very enticing premise promising some nice psychological twists by the time we got to the end the three characters started to wear a bit thin. They had very little redeeming them which doesn’t have to matter but after a while it just seemed a mess of confusing emotions rather than three people’s individual personalities. It still kept me interested but towards the end it became a little tedious so that the alternative endings failed to make an impact.
However it was very well-written and a most novel novel idea, and yes I know I have repeated the word but it suited what I wanted to say.
