I actually enjoyed the book up until the last bit and from the part when Spanish conquerors appeared. At first I was reserved and thought surely they would have to eventually mention the monstrosities that colonists committed, but nope. I am amazed by the amount of bullshit that is being used as an excuse for the entire civilization of Inca's being robbed and destroyed almost without any traces left, with Spanish being presented as least guilty for the disappearance of the entire empire of Incas. All the grand structures and unique architecture whipped away from the face of earth, language, cultural monuments of all kinds... and this fucking book is convincing you its the fault of Inca's themselves and not the greedy colonist scum. Unfuckingbelievable how shamelessly and easily is history shaped by those who rule.

O livro é bastante interessante para aqueles que se interessam sobre a história, cultura e geografia dos povos pré-colombianos, no caso os incas. Porém o livro é extremamente fraco visualmente. Uma série de detalhes é descrita, mas as ausência de imagens ou gravuras dificultam o entendimento do leitor.
