S. Van Horne was born and raised in the small town of Belton, Missouri, which is a part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. She is from a very large family and is the oldest of six. Growing up she did not have the easiest life. She learned quickly that family means everything, even if it is the type that you get to pick for yourself. She met the love of her life at the early age of 20 and was married just after nine months of meeting him. Shortly after marriage, her husband rejoined the U.S. Navy and they moved from Kansas City and started their journey together. Currently they have two amazing children, a boy and a girl, a sassy cat, and are still enjoying the Navy life.
She spends her days being a Navy wife, homeschool mother, reading books, writing her latest novel, watching her beloved Kansas City Chiefs or Kansas City Royals play, watching movies, hanging out with family and friends and having girls days at least once a month.
I have to say that i was beyond excited for this book. Neil is a total Alpha Male and Sara is such a strong independent woman. And Neil has had a thing for Sara for a few years now. and if you read the first book you would know that Sara is Neils little sister Len's friend. There is drama and action and love and really hot sexy times in this book.
i love that these books are standalone's but they are interconnected because the characters are just so awesome and i cant get enough of them.
I loved the epilogue and bonus chapter!!! OMG i was like WHAT!!!!
This book was awesome. I loved Niel he was an awesome H. Who is completely in love with Sara. Sara is also in love but neither one opens up about their feelings until one night when they exploded and they both let go and made love. The next morning Sara sneaks off and pretends like nothing happened which hurts both of them. Their story is sweet and beautifully painful when Sara received a call that changes her life as she knows it. Seeing the length Niel goes to find Sara is so romantic. 4 stars
This is the second book in the More series. To better understand this story I recommend that you read the first book in the series but it isn't a necessity since this can be a standalone. I have been waiting for Neil and Sara's story since reading the first book. Let me tell you it was so worth the wait!!! The book was amazing!! My heart went out to Sara and what she has endured in her life. She deserved some happiness in her life and Neil definitely gave that to her in spades. OMG I floved Neil!!! He is the total package: hot, sweet, supportive and alpha as heck lol! The chemistry between the two was off the charts hot. I loved the nicknames they had for each other...absolutely romantic. I was hooked from page 1 and didn't want to see the story end. I laughed, swooned, and cried throughout the story.
I highly recommend this story to everyone. I cant wait to see what is in store next for this amazing series. Well done!!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance readers copy of this book.
One phone call and she is gone! Where did she go? Neil has wait years for Sara to be ready for him. As one of his sisters best friends Neil has never looked more into Sara's background but she he have what is she hiding and where has she gone?
I love this series and can't wait to hear more about the seal security boys!
S. Van Horne’s latest release, More Than Anything, brings us likable characters, steamy scenes and an interesting plot. This is book #2 in the More Series, but you do not have to have read book one, it can be read as a standalone. However, I do still recommend reading One More Time, Len and Dante’s story!
More Than Anything is a pleasant read, one that I started and finished on a lazy Sunday afternoon. It’s suspenseful, romantic and entertaining. I’ll be sure to check out what comes next in the More Series.
I have always loved reading romance stories with a suspense background. And that's why S V Horne is my favourite author!! Loved her first book, Dante and Len's story. And now book 2, Sara and Neil has added icing to the cake!! Reading book 2 where all the characters from book 1 made reappearance brought back memories of book 1. The only improvement that I could suggest is giving us more of OPG!! I loved her character in book 1 and was a bit disappointed that she didn't have much role in book 2. Now can't wait for book 3.... Ashley and Doc's story!!!
Loving this author!!! This series rocks. It is a must 1-click for sure!!!!!!!
This is about Neil & Sara. I love Neil's cockiness & the way he goes for what he wants. He wants Sara & he runs after her just to drag her back & love her. There is so much going on, but it worked! I want more of this series asap!!
This was such an emotional and gripping story that I had to keep the tissue box handy. This is book 2 in the More Series & this is Neil and Sarah's story. This is one emotional journey that as a reader we take with the MC . Neil is one hot alpha who will do anything to keep Sarah safe , he will do anything to keep her happy and if she isn’t, he wants to do what he can to support her while she gets there and I loved that about him. He was her support, her rock when everything else was going wrong. Sarah has so much pain from her past and it looks like her pain has come back on her to revisit and cause her tremendous pain-Will that pain devastate them both and cause what love is there to dissipate or will they overcome her past and be able to have a future ? This is one truly emotional, gritty, heart wrenching love story that will captivate you –there are some dark parts but the light parts will be so lovely and fantastic, you will be rooting for Neil and Sarah all the way. This is a love story seeped in healing while explaining her past and showing how love can overcome all, even the darkness and pain of the past. We also catch up with everyone from the previous book which was fantastic-even OPG makes an appearance. I love the writing style of this author because it shouldn’t shy away from the pain but it shows love just as much as pain. After pain comes pleasure and love. I loved the strength she wrote for Sarah, how she overcomes so much. This is such a complex love story, full of love and heart.
My Rating: 4.9 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
I am new to reading S. Van Horne. This is not typically my preferred genre to read but I highly surprised how much I enjoyed the book. It had everything I look for in a book. There was turmoil, love of family, happiness, and most of all—love. This book also focused on all the emotions and fears associated with PTSD. This cause is near and dear to my heart and I want to express my gratitude to the author for portraying it in such a real way. Sara was living in witness protection because she witnessed a violent and heinous crime. She did everything in her power to live a normal life. She never expected to fall in love with Neil. Neil was smitten with her from the first day he saw her. She kept her past a secret including her real name which was Rebecca. She didn’t want any harm to come to Neil’s family especially Len. But the day, the cartel found out her location—she ran. This is when Neil and Sara realized that they indeed were in love with each other. Neil never gave up hope in finding her and Sara hung on to her love for Neil to save her. They were reunited once again but the cartel found her again and she and Len were kidnapped together. Neil and his brothers found them but Sara’s mind couldn’t recover and she received psychiatric help to help her cope. But with PTSD, the whole family must heal together and that is exactly what Neil, Sara, and the others did. This was such a beautiful story!! “She’s everything to me. I’ve known for a while that I wanted to marry her and that she was it. I just wish now I told her how much. She means more than anything to me, and I need her in my life to breathe.” –Neil
I loved this story after reading one more time I couldn't wait to read Sara and Neil book I would recommend reading book 1 before reading this you'll have better understanding of more than anything . I felt so bad for Sara and what she went through when we find out her story I felt like breaking down and crying . But she find strength to go on after she meets Len and her friends and family once the H and the h meet theirs an instant attraction that they both fight because they don't think they are good enough or think the other have those kinds of feelings but once they both get their head out they become unbreakable. It was so good seeing everybody and then getting a bonus chapter I cant wait for the next one I wish it was Eagles and julias book but will love seeing the next couples book . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero = 10 heroine = 10 secondary characters = 10 chemistry = 10 steam = 10 character development = 10 pacing = 10 pov= dual ending = HEA cover = hot author = LOVE WILL BE READING MORE OF HER BOOKS
Ms. Van Horne keeps getting better. I love this series. I couldn't wait for Neil and Sara to get their own book.
Sara is an administrative assistant at Seal Security. She has been keeping secrets from those closest to her. One phone call is all it takes and everything changes in the blink of an eye.
Neil is the head of Seal Security and has had a crush on Sara from the first moment they met. After Neil's scare when Len was kidnapped and subsequently getting her back he is determined to not let Sara slip through his fingers. When Sara gets a call and subsequently runs Neil is determined to get her back. Will Neil finally get to tell Sara how much she means to him or will she slip through his fingers forever?
I highly recommend this book and the series!! I can't wait for James and Ashley's book.
I just loved this story. Ms. Horne is a semi-new author to me this being only the 2nd book I have read of hers, but it is a wonderfully written story, with the right mix of all then things we love and yes you get your HEA. Ms. Horne, has well developed, loveable characters who you are cheering along with . I highly recommended Neil and Sara's story . can't wait for more from S. Van Horne she has just become one of my new favorite authors.
Wow! I thought the first book was good. This is better than the first. I received an ARC for a honest review. I am not disappointed in this writer's ability at all. S. Van Horne is an amazing writer. Her books will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. They will have you guessing what will happen next. If you love Alpha males that know what they want and to protect what is theirs this is a book for you. I have never heard of this author before I read her books. I never read the synopsis for her books. I went in blind. I am so glad that I gave this author a chance. She has the ability to draw you in right from the start with her words. She will keep you hooked from beginning to end. I for one had a hard time putting her books down. S. Van Horne has made me a fan of her writing.
this is Neil and Sarah's story and what a journey you go on..she has been through hell and back and you just root for her to get her hea .. Neil is wonderfully supportive and alpha and will do anything to help his woman!!! there is so much pain from her past can they overcome it..will there be a future for them?!?! this is a gutwrenching, soul searhing and healing story you won't want to miss!! we catch up with the everyone and OPG is awesome as ever!!! love this series and author cannot wait for more!!! you won't be able to put it down and you won't regret it!!! this is action packed love loaded and beautiful written so get it and enjoy!!
WOW!!! I'm trying to find the right words to use to describe More Than Anything by S. Van Horne. The emotions that I went through while reading this book were insane. You will cry!! Your heart will hurt!! You will cheer!! You will fall in love with Sara and Neil!! You WILL fall in love with this book!! Very well written and such believable characters you'll feel like you were part of their journey!! I would highly recommend this book!!! Absolutely phenomenal!!!
This was truly hott and amazing.. the characters were awesome.. the writing is superb and makes you feel as if you are one of the characters... their feelings were mine.. it was amazing.. i loved being a part of this book and im so glad i got to review it
Author S. Van Horne has created another emotional page-turner with her newest release, MORE THAN ANYTHING. Tears will flow, cheers will sound, gasps will escape, and you will fall further in love with the characters of the MORE SERIES.
Absolutely loved more than anything!! S van Horne is an amazing write and made this book mind blowing. Neal and his sexy alpha attitude was the icing on the cake, but his love for Sara had me wanting to know more. If I could give more than five stars I would it totally deserves it.
Neil Shields owns Seal Security with his best friend Dante. After his sister, Len, was targeted by a stalker and almost killed, Neal realizes how short life can be and finally decides to make a move on Sara and let her know how he feels.
Sara Reyes works for Seal Security and hopes she is finally safe from her past but one phone call changes everything and she runs.
Will Neil be able to find Sara and protect her from her past and the people that need her dead?
This is another great book in the series!
I really liked Neil from when we met him in One More Time, the book that focused on his sister Len and his best friend Dante. I knew Neil had feelings for Sara but was waiting for the right time to let her know how he felt about her.
I felt so bad for Sara when I learned what she went through in the past but you only know little bits and gradually learn more as the book goes on so you are never sure why things happened and who was the cause. It was obvious though that she and Arturo had a great relationship and that he protected her from what they were up against.
I thought it was great that Sara had a sinking feeling about who she could trust and she was definitely right. I was shocked at how close a certain person was able to get to Sara.
The ending was awesome but super scary with what was going on with Len!
Al-pha! Al-pha! Al-pha! What can I say about More Than Anything? I am completely blown away with this series and this author. She brings a story that once you are completely immersed in, you find yourself wanting to know everything all at once. More Than Anything is about a woman running from her past. But we find out she is more than running, she is looking for a way out.
I felt so much for Sara and her life. She finally finds a sense of peace when it is suddenly threatened to be taken away. Neil is the man she is falling in love with but can’t let herself let go completely to him. He knows she’s mysterious and won’t give him everything that defines her, but he’s finally ready to make her his regardless of what she’s hiding.
The best part of Ms. Van Horne’s writing in this series is the way she introduces other couples and the teasing ways what’s to come. I have added all the books in this series to my TBR shelf. I can’t get enough of this family of former Navy Seals/security agency/alpha males. These men will stop at nothing to protect their family and eliminate all those that threaten them.
S. Van Horne is seriously talented. I was new to her with One More Time but I enjoyed that book so much I wanted to read more by her. So, I grabbed up More Than Anything and Until More. More Than Anything is book two in the More Than Series and really surprised me, in a good way of course. It was suspenseful with a little bit of drama and action. Slightly angsty and romantic. While More Than Anything is the second book in this series, it can be read as a standalone. That said, I do feel like you get a fuller picture of the hero and heroine if you read the first book because our hero, Neil is the brother to Len from One More Time. Moreover, Sara and Len are best friends. As you can see, these characters are interconnected enough that it will enrich your reading experience if you read them in order. Neil and Sara have a beautiful story that I loved. And the Chemistry and Heat between them was intense and smoking hot. S. Van Horne really keep me interested in the story and I finished it in one setting. I can’t wait to read more by this author…
More than Anything is book 2 in the more than series and follows Sara and Neil. Neil is a former seal and has set up seal security with his military buddies. Sara is their receptionist and Neil and her have been flirting and tip toeing around each other for the past 3 years. Neil is certain there is something Sara isn't sharing with him from her past but hadn't pushed her as he wants her to trust him with the information herself. That is until Sara disappears after receiving a phone call and leaving them all goodbye notes. That doesn't work for Neil and he is determined to find out what's happened in her past and protect her. Lots of the same characters from the first book but you wouldn't need to read it if you just wanted to read this one. Really enjoyed it and set up well for the 3rd book in the series.
Neil is the best friend's Older brother. Sara is the little sister's best friend. Sara holds a secret, and must keep everyone at arm's length for their own safety. Neil has been in love with Sara since he first saw her. Life and events got in the way (1st book!) and now Neil is ready to make his claim. Just when he sets his mind to claim Sara, she has to run... He will stop at nothing to find her... and when he does...A-L-P-H-A. All. The Way. In order to appreciate this book, you have to be a fan of Over the top Alpha boyfriend behavior. Some would call it insta-love, some would call it stalker ..ish. But if you take the book for what it is, and that is a man wanting to protect the woman he loves, it checks the boxes for suspense, romance, and hotness :). You don't have to read book one to enjoy this book, but it does make the characters more enjoyable.

Sara is hiding from a past that is haunting her. Before Neil has a chance to tell Sara that he loves her, she literally runs away. Her past just came calling and now Sara has to leave before her loved ones get hurt.
I liked this story and the characters. Poor Neil is doing everything he can to find Sara, but he has nothing to go on except a journal from someone named Rebecca. He pulls in all of his resources in the hopes of finding her. Sara first want to leave her new family, but she rather have them alive and gone then to be dead. They struggle with being away from each other, but both dream of seeing each other again. Outside forces of good and evil will dictate if they get to see each other again and if they live or die. These characters have depth and are written well. I liked the story and how everything unfolds. I will be reading the next book.
I really wanted to like this book. The plotline was intriguing but it just fell short. The chapters with Rebecca's journals were confusing and made me wonder if I was even reading the same book. It didn't take me long to figure out who Rebecca was but it was still really confusing. The whole story just felt off, it was hard to believe that Neil and Sara had this rare love when the author never shows you any of their interactions. How are we supposed to feel it if it's all just old in backstory. I also found it hard to believe that two people are going to lust after each other for 3 years and never admit feelings especially since Neil is supposed to be so alpha. There were so many other issues that I could talk about but I will just stop here and say that this book/author is not my cup of tea.
Book 2 on the More series. This is Neil and Sara story. They developed feelings for each other but something was keeping them apart. Sara was hiding some pain from her past that wouldn't allow her to be happy.
Neil is your typical handsome alpha male who falls hard when he finds the one. He met his sister best friend and is instantly attracted to her.
The story is not bad although a little predictable, I didn't like the fact that once again a lot of drama goes off, some of it very similar to book one to the point were it gets a little frustrating.
This is a great group of characters, I really like them, is just some of the story doesn't allow me to give it more stars. Also the epilogue at the end was very confusing.
3.5 Stars. Sarah has literally been through hell and back, and she's about to go through so much more. She's in the witnesses protection program and the person she is hiding from found out where she's been living. Neil, your typical alpha man, falls in love, hard with his sister's best friend..Sarah. Neil believes Sarah wants nothing to do with him, when deep down Sarah is so in love with him. Sarah gets a phone call that causes her to leave with just a simple goodbye. Neil does everything in his power to figure out why she leaves and where she goes.
This book is full of emotions. I cried with Sarah a few times. Sarah and Neils love is one of a kind, and I love how Neil never gave up!
I really liked how this book played out. The first few chapters were confusing at first but so worth sticking with it. Sara and Neil are a couple who fall almost immediately into each other. Even though it takes a few years for them to get their act together. Neil is Sara's best friend's brother. They knew about each other for a while but don't actually meet until one Christmas when Neil comes home early from the service. He sees her and knows she's his, period. She is guarded because of her past. Sara doesn't want to get to close to anyone again and put them in danger. She's lying to everyone to protect them but she afraid Neil won't see it that way. This book was full of a great romance and some hold your breath moments.
