Stripped Bounty

Rate this book
Protecting her isn’t an option. It’s a requirement.

Badger finally got Rosie in his bed, but in order to keep her there, he has to figure out how to save her life.

After her drug-running husband gets himself killed, Rosie Santini figures Phoenix is a fine place to get a fresh start. Deuce’s strip club isn’t too fresh, but the money’s easy. As she works the pole, the only gaze she can’t ignore belongs to the club’s head bouncer, Badger Baxter. But Rosie’s seen her fair share of tall, dark, and dangerous, and no way is she heading down that road. Not even for a hot hunk of muscle like Badger.

When he’s not bounty hunting, Badger runs security at Deuce’s. Rosie should be just another piece of fresh meat in the club’s stable of pole jockeys, but all her sexy parts add up to a ride Badger would like to test drive. Trouble is, Badger likes his women submissive, but not broken. She’s definitely got baggage he wants no part of. But when her husband’s killer shows up looking for stolen cash, she fits naturally under his protection—and it isn’t long before she’s hooked deep into his heart.

So deep, losing her now would make him bleed in more ways than one.

Warning: This book contains violent situations due to physical altercations and gunfire. Be on the look out for D/s sexual play, which may cause drooling and might have you reaching for the nearest man or battery operated boyfriend.

You know that feeling you get when you're reading a new to you author? You know the one, that's part excitement and part dread and your have your fingers and toes crossed (especially if it's for a review) and you can't decide which feeling wins until at least 10% of the book? That's what I felt starting this. And you know what? The crossed fingers worked this time! Luckily this was a pretty entertaining read. Not without some predictability and minor issues but all in all fairly pleasurable.

After her drug-running husband gets himself killed,Rosie Santini is starting her life over. Unfortunately moving states and starting from scratch leaves her with no money, no job and no option but to work as a stripper. Deuce’s strip club isn't exactly high end but it's clean, the money is easy and it has security. For Rosie stripping is a necessity as well as a way to express all the energy inside her. Resilient, feisty and independent, Rosie will work to the bone to get her life back on track and away from her husbands dirty past.

description

Badger runs security at Deuce’s. As well as being a bounty hunter. He's gruff, laconic, bossy and doesn't get involved with strippers. Too much baggage for him. The minute he sees Rosie he's attracted to her but refuses to acknowledge it, going so far as giving her the impression that he doesn't like her in order to avoid getting mixed up with her.

description

So what if he didn’t like her. Not everyone in the world liked each other. It shouldn’t bug her, but it did. More than she’d ever admit.

“He watches me, but he hates me. Like really hates me.” Rosie blew out and stepped into the hall. She wasn’t a woman who ever gave a shit if someone liked her or not. Badger didn’t like her, big deal. But hate? Jesus. That stung.

She shouldn’t give a shit. He was no one to her. But she did. She really fucking did. And that sucked.

“Goddamn. Can’t figure you out. Been trying since you walked in the bar that first day. So fucking different. Something behind your eyes too. Hurt. Pain. Anger. Whatever it is, its baggage…”

description

When Rosies past troubles come to her present Badger is forced to take action and accept not only his growing feelings for Rosie but her baggage as well. He takes Rosie under his protection and the two of them finally do something about all the attraction they've been ignoring.

There are some pretty hot and heavy scenes with these two as Badger is a dominant man. There's elements of D/s play and they were just the right amount for me. Not over the top, just enough to be hot. Especially since Rosie is new to the whole submission deal.

As for my minor issues? There was way too much emphasis on how "different" Rosie is.It was a bit tiring reading about it in every other chapter. But that's just me. Others might not even notice.

If you're looking for a hot, easy read for a lazy afternoon this is it.

4 tall, dark and dangerous stars. I have been reading Dorothy F. Shaw's work since early last year and this book intrigued me because I've never read about a bounty hunter before. Also, I know Shaw tends to write vivid and steamy sex scenes which is my kind of book. She didn't let me down and this book was quite the read.

The story kicks off with Rosie getting woken up in the middle of the night and then her decision to pack up from the east coast and to move to almost on the other coast. She lands herself in a strip club looking for work and with nothing available but the pole, she sucks it up and tries out. She's no stranger to stripping, but she would have preferred to not get back to doing it. She's got spirit, spunk, backbone and a good heart. Rosie is hilarious yet sweet.

"Here you go, Miss Rosie."
"Why thank you, sir." Rosie took the glass from him and looked to Sabby. "Shall we toa-"
"Woman, only you'd wear a dress like that and be holding a wine glass with fruit floating in it."

Badger, or shall I call him Drew? I'll stick with Badger since that's his name for over 50 percent of the book. He's kind of an asshole because he's attracted to Rosie but doesn't want to be. He doesn't "do" strippers and when she becomes one she disappoints him a bit. He really wanted her to not be a stripper but that doesn't stop him from watching her on stage every night. It doesn't stop him from lusting after her which in turn frustrates him causing him to be an asshole to Rosie. Badger's a gruff man of a dominant nature who has a side to him that is tender and caring. He's like a roasted marshmallow, rough on the outside and gooey in the middle.

Shit. "Badger..."
"Shhh." He slid his palm up her side to just below her breast and Rosie bit her bottom lip to keep herself from moaning. His hardened gaze dropped to her mouth and then back to her eyes. "Goddamn. Can't figure you out. Been trying since you walked in the bar that first day. So fucking different. Something behind your eyes, too. Hurt. Pain. Anger. Whatever it is, it's baggage..."His voice was low, almost a whisper, but with a gravely tone to it that vibrated through her entire body, settling between her thighs.

Badger and Rosie's story comes together one faithful night that throws her into his protection. From there on, the two are living together and screwing like rabbits. Badger can't get enough of Rosie and Rosie takes whatever Badger gives her. The problem is that Rosie's issue is bigger than can be imagined and that sex isn't all that is between Rosie and Badger. Feelings begin to rear their ugly heads, only further making the situation more dangerous. There's a happy ending, some sweet, sentimental moments and some seriously fist-grabbingly hot sex.

Reread July 2018- Still a great read. I love Rosie and Badger. I wish I knew whether she continued dancing or quit to go back to school to be a nurse. Looking forward to more from Ms. Shaw!

Original read - August 2016-

4 stars! I'm ashamed that I let this review go unwritten for so long. I was super busy this summer and got way behind on reviewing the books I read, which led to me feeling overwhelmed on trying to catch up. It is going to be hard to remember a ton of details now, but I really liked this book a lot.
This is Rosie and Badger's story. Rosie is a widow. Her no good husband stole some money from a drug lord and hid it, only to get himself killed. The drug lord is on the hunt for Rosie and the money her husband hid. So Rosie ran from New Jersey to Arizona and gets a job as a stripper, hiding out. Badger is a bouncer/manager at the strip club where Rosie works. They are attracted to each other, but Badger shies away from Rosie because he doesn't date strippers. But he knows there is something different about Rosie and finally, when her past shows up in the club, he can't help but want to protect her. Rosie hides out with Badger at his home and they explore their attraction. They fall in love and have to find a way to settle the conflict with the drug lord in order to face a future together.

I liked both Badger and Rosie a lot. They were older characters (in their thirties) and were very mature in the way they dealt with each other and their relationship development. I really liked Rosie especially. She was strong, smart and feisty. I liked that they didn't push each other away too much. They were really hot together too. I felt like the story was original and interesting. This is a "dead ex" book, in that Rosie is a widow, but it worked for me in this case (which I'm picky about and it often doesn't work for my taste). I felt like Badger and Rosie were each other's perfect match/true love and in no way did I feel like Badger was sloppy seconds. The book was a good length. They did not get together right away, there was a slow burn as they tiptoed around each other, but once they did get together, they were in a relationship long before the end. There was good resolution and also a cute epilogue. The characters had good depth and I liked the secondary characters too. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and it left me with a happy feeling. I really like Ms. Shaw's writing and this is my favorite of her books so far!

I love & strong alpha & a feisty heroine & I'm pleased to say this book delivered both, with enough angst, passion & emotion to keep me turning the pages.

Rosie is a feisty, sassy & independant. Fleeing from her dead husbands past, one impulsive decision leaves her in the kind of danger that she really wasn't ready for. Finding herself in Phoenix, needing to money to survive, she ends up stripping & Deuce's. She never thought she would go back to her old ways, but needs must. Damn this girl knows how to put on a show & the tips alone make the shame feel bearable. The men love her, coming in droves on the nights she dances, yet the only eyes she feels, the only eyes she seeks out are his- Badger. He's strong, powerful & he doesn't like her much to her dismay. She can't stop how her body responds to him though & with his eyes on her, she dances as if he's the only man in the club.

Badger. Ex MC & current bounty hunter. When he is not catching the bad guys he is head of security for his best friend Deuce. His job is to keep the girls safe & make sure trouble stays away. He doesn't want or need complications. He certainly doesn't do relationships. Then Rosie walks in looking for work & he is left breathless. He thought she was better than just being another damn pole jockey, yet when he watches her dance he can't deny the rush that flows through him. He wants her in every way possible, the need to consume her ripples through him every damn time he sees her. Staying away is a battle he isn't sure he can win.

The chemistry between these two is really strong, both physically, sexually & emotionally. The character development builds well, showing Badger's protective, emotional nature balancing out Rosie's flighty, vulnerable side. The story had some other strong charaters I loved, that i'm sure have a fascinating story of their own, as well as a few unexpected twists to keep me guessing.

This was my first Dorothy F Shaw read & definitely wont be my last.

Rosie, married her high-school sweetheart… Their life wasn’t easy and her husband seems to be good at getting himself in trouble. She gets a call late at night and he is in some trouble, and she packed and leaves town, after helping him out, once again.
He has been doing some illegal jobs and she know it was the end of him.
She travels to Phoenix and needs a job, quick. She looks for a job as a stripper, since she has some experience with that… and winds up at Deuce’s, and that is where she meets Badger.

Badger works as a bouncer, bartender and on the side he is a bounty hunter. He is single and likes his life just the way it is.

Badger tries his best to not get attached to Rosie, he goes as far as having her think he hates her. But he doesn’t…there is something about her since the first day she walks into the club, he wanted her.

“Can’t figure you out. Been trying since you walked in the bar that first day. So f*cking different. Something behind your eyes too. Hurt. Pain. Anger. Whatever it is, its baggage…”

And boy does she have “baggage”… Rosie’s past comes back to haunt her, and Badger takes on the job of protecting her. Well… and finally getting her into his bed.

If you want a HOT ALPHA MALE who comes to the rescue… Badger is your man.
Strong female character who has the strength to change her life, and try to do it on her own…Rosie is your girl…until you get her in the bedroom…wink, wink.

The way this author writes, you really get to know the characters, and understand how they feel.

I have not read anything by Dorothy F. Shaw, but I must say, I really did enjoy it. If you want a HOT and STEAMY read… this one would fit in that category.

I haven’t had the pleasure of reading anything by this author previously and as such I wasn’t sure how my reading style and her writing style were going to match up but I shouldn’t have worried because not wishing to be disparaging, this was a solid read that once I got into it I really enjoyed.
Rosie is making ends meet, doing not necessarily what she wants to do but what she has too, following the death of her husband. Life married to a drug runner has hardly been a bed of roses but now he has gone, all her money and options have disappeared with him, starting again meansupping sticks, moving on and starting from the bottom, so with few skills to bring to the job market, Rosie is stripping at Deuce’s Strip Club.
In some ways I liked Rosie, I liked that she was made of tougher stuff than most, she might not have elected a career as a stripper but now she was here, she made the most of what she had and the tips were good! The club might not have been the best in the business but it certainly wasn’t the worst and Rosie was able to begin to get her fight back.
But will the spectre of her husband’s past come back to drag her down or will she finally make it on her own?
Well if guts alone were anything to go by this girl was unstoppable! But that wouldn’t make for a very interesting book though would it!
Security at the club was Badgers domain, he was the guy that made sure that the punters didn’t get a little too familiar! Bounty Hunter come minder Badger got on well with the girls in the club but he did it in his own way, his gruff demeanour sometimes took a bit of getting used to and it was behind that rough exterior that he was able to hide away. His cool, harsh attitude was something he used to his advantage when it came to Rosie because just by being himself he could keep her at arms-length – she didn’t know that under his mean and moody exterior he was hiding the fact that he was more interested in her than he really wanted to be!
Oh this was going to be good!!
The danced around each other, Rosie convinced that he didn’t like her and resenting the fact that she had no idea why and Badger sighing deeply that he was able to keep his emotions under control because it wasn’t easy, he wanted more from her, his dominant tendency’s knew she was perfect for him but crossing that line was a step he really didn’t want to take…that is until like the proverbial bad penny her past is back and Badger is left with no choice, if he wants her he has to act and act now!
Keeping her safe meant admitting that there was something going on between the two of them, acting upon it opened the floodgates and acknowledging their attraction meant accepting a new dynamic that Rosie had never been party to before.
I think the author handled the makeup of their relationship well, the tentative steps that Badger undertook with Rosie as they formed a relationship that meant setting new boundaries. I was pleased that the author was able to present the scenes between the two of them in a way that while they were descriptive they were not salacious, taking into account the fact that this was Rosie’s first foray into the role of a submissive, I think anything more gratuitous would have nullified the intensity of their connection.
Could Rosie fulfil the role of submissive?
Was what they had enough to last?
Would they survive the past that was looking for no more than its perceived dues and would leave no stone unturned to get what it wanted?
I enjoyed the read, I liked the tone that the author took and the depth that she felt able to give to characters that on the surface I didn’t think stood a cat in h*ll’s chance, I liked Badger he was a strong man not only physically and mentally but also emotionally. He cared deeply for Rosie and when push came to shove, he was willing to do whatever it took to keep her safe…top man!

Stripped Bounty by Dorothy F. Shaw was an unexpected ARC from the author and I was delighted at the opportunity to read it prior to release. I didn't know anything about it, so I read the synopsis here on Goodreads. I've read other books by Dorothy - in particular "The Donelly's" series and I loved them. But I knew, just from the outline, that this was no Donelly's book; Stripped Bounty is definitely in another category.

Rosie is married to her high-school sweetheart and life is not easy. She gets a late-night call from him and he's in trouble - again! Realising he's gone too far this time, she packs up and clears out of town, after doing what he'd asked her to do. She's scared because he's been running drugs and she figures he's dead because he always makes wrong choices. She arrives in Phoenix and desperately needs a job - she used to be a stripper, but hasn't danced in a long time, but when things are desperate, what's a girl to do? At least the tips will be good, even if the pay is poor.

After trying other places, Rosie ends up at Deuce’s strip club - it's not great looking, but there just might be a place for her here. She spots a guy behind the bar and he is something fine! He hardly notices her when she speaks, but points her to behind the stage and resumes what he's doing. But he watches her as she makes her way to where he's pointed her. Badger might be behind the bar, but he's in charge of security for Deuce and spends the rest of his time as a bounty hunter. He's single and that suits him just fine, but he can't help but notice Rosie, especially when she's on stage - he can't take his eyes off her, but when she's near him, he ignore's her! These two people are both comfortable in their own skin and just want to get on with their live's but that fickle human chemistry takes over and they may be perfect for each other. Dorothy Shaw's characters are beautifully drawn and develop throughout the story; Badger is 42 and Rosie's in her thirties and they bring a sense of maturity and experience to their situation. They deal with each other and their problems and come out the other side, ready for life to continue. This was a medium length story, around 290 pages and I was really sorry that it came to an end. I wanted more of Rosie and Badger, but I think this is a stand alone story. Stripped Bounty showcases another side to Dorothy F Shaw's writing and I can't wait for whatever else she turns her hand too. This is a must read book. Go and grab a copy now, before you forget.

"He was her everything. Body, heart and soul. Forever and always." Wowza, was this a hot read! Stripped Bounty by Dorothy F. Shaw is what you need to read if you like steamy, sexy reads. My review continues below.

lampshade review banner

If I wore reading glasses they would have fogged up reading this.

In any event, my Kindle almost caught fire from the smoldering, sexy, naughty story that this was.

I could not enjoy this enough, even though some scenes were blush worthy. I mean, a hot motorcycle dude and his surprise penchant of BDSM had my mouth gaping open. WOW! I had to pause and fan myself on many occasions. Okay, you might be saying, “But duh! it says in the synopsis that he likes his women submissive!” Yes, well read the story and you will see.

Can a stripper be a heroine?

tumblr_n5lfkpw00u1s15r0ao1_500

Of course! I loved that the heroine was less than perfect. Rosie is a take no nonsense chick that needs to strip to make money. When she meets Badger at the strip club where he works the sexual tension that emanates from those two is so thick that you could probably cut through it with a butter knife.

The storyline focuses on their at times hostile, relationship. They argue A LOT! I guess it adds to the spice because I wouldn’t peg these two as a sweet couple. It’s a more aggressive type of love, not a lot of tenderness.

There is loads of danger and suspense as well and that aspect makes the story more than just kinky sex. There is the typical character growth and of course realizations come when both of them are in danger.

Dorothy F. Shaw is a new-to-me author who totally knows how to grab the readers’ attention. Will look forward to reading more of her books down the road.

** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Okay so I’m going to be the first to admit that this is the first novel I’ve ever read from this author, so nervous is what I felt going in. Not having a clue what to expect it was a case of dive in girl and see what you get.

Well guys what I got was one hell of a read.

Meet Badger.
Dark, dangerous, sinfully delicious.
An ex-biker who nows calls bounty hunting/security his new work, Badger works for Deuce as head security making sure that everyone is behaving and keeping the dancers safe at all times.
A loner, Badger only has time for one night stands, no emotions, just take them and leave them.
But Badger never sees her coming.
Everything that Badger swears and lives by will change forever.
She will be his game changer.

Meet Rosie.
She’s young, beautiful and now very much alone. Married to a man who thought the underworld was the place to be, receiving that one phone call Rosie knew she had lost him forver. Murdered by the hands of monsters, Rosie does the last thing her husband asked her to do.
But what she didn’t bargain on is the same monsters wanting her.
So she runs as far away as she can. She runs to Phoenix.
And lands straight into Badgers lap.

Welcome to Badger and Rosie’s world guys.

What a read. Action-packed, raw, gritty, confronting, emotionally charged and all things naughty and delicious. It had everything that I as a reader could ask for.
It had me captivated from the beginning to end and I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure that the author took me on.
If you are a lover of all things action with a touch of naughtiness, great banter and grittiness then this is the read for you.

4 stars.

This was the first book I’ve read by Dorothy F. Shaw – the summary definitely caught my attention – she did a great job of keeping my attention throughout the story. I LOVE details in a story – I like to know the little things, Dorothy provided those little things and fed them to me slowly. I have never read a story about a bounty hunter before – I would have LOVED a bit more about the bounty hunting – hearing Badger tell us some of the stories or maybe hearing more of the details would have made this story complete for me. Bounty hunting felt like the “secondary” to me.

Badger meets Rosie when she comes into the strip club where he does security. Rosie needs a job, she is out of money – she knows she is going to have to go back to stripping which isn’t where she wants to be – but for right now – it’s where she NEEDS to be. Badger is taken by her beauty, and sees something different about her – he is curious about her. When she gets up on the stage all bets are off – he is completely done for. He fights the attraction for quite some time where Rosie actually feel he doesn’t like her. Rosie is on the move – her husband was recently murdered and she needs to get out of dodge and have a fresh start. She never thought that fresh start would be stripping and falling for a guy named Badger. Funny how things work out some times.
I enjoyed Dorothy’s storytelling and look forward to more from her.

4 Stars from me.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has lies, secrets, murder, suspense, and heartbreak.

This is Rosie and Badger’s story. Rosie is working as a stripper as the money is easy. She ran from her home after her husband was killed. Now moving on she is attracted to Badger but he does not want to want her. What happens when the person who killed her husband comes after her? Should she run or seek protection from the one who does not want to want her. Can badger protect her or is he going to turn her away? Can these two overcome the past baggage in order to try and be together?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

I had mixed feelings about this book. I really liked the writing and the story line was actually really intriguing and I wanted to know what would happen!

Some of the spicy scenes were just not for me. I will admit probably because I am a queer women lol
I will say, I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone who enjoys alpha male energy during 🌶️spicy scenes. Because this books was filled with it!

In many ways, this one exceeded my expectations and left me very pleasantly surprised. With a raw, gritty feel to it, Stripped Bounty read a lot like an MC romance - a really good one. Badger is an ex-patch holder who's now the head bouncer at a strip club where Rosie shows up, on the run and looking for work. But, as Badger soon learns, Rosie is not your average stripper. The author's descriptions of Rosie's on-stage routines and her love/hate relationship with the stage were really well done, and nothing I'd ever read before. The writing surrounding Badger and Rosie's romance was also strong. Who doesn't love a dirty-talking alpha who doesn't step over the line into disrespect? The D/s aspect of their relationship felt a little out of place, but it wasn't unwelcome and didn't detract from the story in any way. In fact, it added some extra spice.

Where I thought the story did come up short was in the last 20% or so when the suspense portion came into play. Really, I think all the characters came out looking a bit silly due to some plot holes. I don't want to get into any spoilers, but let's just say that I'd have much preferred it if the bad guys had just shown up at the house and taken Rosie (that would have made a lot more sense). But I digress.

This was a solid 4 star read and I look forward to reading more from this author.

PS I love the cover of this book! It needs to be made into a poster and hung on my wall ; )

This is the first book I've read by Dorothy F. Shaw and it won't be the last! This is one scorching hot book!!

Rosie is going across country from Connecticut to Arizona to get a new start in life. Her funds are getting low and she needs a job. Of course, it didn't help when her car died...twice. Her husband got himself killed because he was an idiot drug runner. She's tried six bars to find employment but no job, yet. She goes to a bar called Deuce's and ask if they are hiring bartenders, or someone to wait tables. But, of course, all they have open are stripper jobs. She really didn't want to do that, but desperate times call for desperate measures! The bartender is hot...shame he has an attitude (actually he's security, not a bartender at all).

Badger is a bounty hunter and also does security and whatever else is needed at Deuce's. A girl comes in applying for a job while he's playing bartender and he has a little "twitch" for her. But, he's so done with strippers and the baggage they have! However, when she gets hired and performs that night, he can't take his eyes off her. She wasn't just a stripper, this chick could dance! He's in deep trouble, he wants a sample of that!!

After Rosie/Arianna catches a glimpse of the man that killed her husband while she's stripping, she freaks out! He's suppose to be in jail. Yet, now he's here watching her. Badger has watched her dance so long he knows when somethings wrong. So, he follows her when she hurries off stage and when he catches her and sees how freaked she is, he takes her to his house. While there, things take an interesting turn. She learns he's a dominant and while, she can take care of herself and doesn't like being bossed around she decides to give into him.

How will this relationship go when she's got her husband's killer after her? Talk about baggage that Badger wanted to avoid! This was such a great book! It started off suspenseful because you knew she was running and Badger could see she was different than the usual stripper and wanted to know what made her tick. But, then when the sexiness took off in this book, it took off fast!! I loved Badger and Rosie and thought they were amazing together!!

Wow! What a sexy, steamy story that kept me reading from the first page. After the death of her husband, Rose drives across the country and ends up in Phoenix. She’s broke and in desperate need of a job. After being turned down for several jobs, she arrives at a strip club and reluctantly takes a job stripping. She’s not new to the profession but it’s not one she wanted to go back to.

Badger is the head of security for the club as well as a bounty hunter. He has a rule about not dating strippers. They are all baggage and drama that he doesn’t want to have anything to do with. But when Rose walks in, she momentarily makes his resolve waver. He watches her, he can’t help it because something about her is different. Rose thinks Badger hates her but she feels safe when he watches her.

Seriously, I really liked this story. The buildup between Badger and Rose was exquisite. The descriptions of Rose’s strip teases were sexy and provocative. Badger was always a growly bear when she was nearby, fighting with himself and Evie (one of the clubs owners) who was playing match maker. When they finally crossed the line to lovers, Badger was all alpha male, hot and rough. The sex scenes had me fanning myself, mercy. There is a small bit of domestic discipline that added a rougher spice than a simple spanking.

There was one section close to the end where Rose persisted on lying to Badger, which he suspected. Then her deception deepened and it really pissed me off because there wasn’t a reason for it. Rose acknowledges she didn’t know why she did it. The situation she found herself in with Alvario was one she created when she refused to go to the police. In many ways she tied Badger’s hands, limiting his ability to help her. When she got impatient with the situation she suddenly turned stupid. People make mistakes, I get that but she deceived him and then seduces him. I had to skim that part because I wanted to thump her a couple of times. By the end, my ire with her lessened, and she did a couple of things to redeem herself. I’m not sure how believable it is that the police backed off after the final confrontation. It seemed much too convenient.

All in all, I would recommend Stripped Bounty. If the author wrote a couple more books in this world, I would definitely read them without looking the blurb first. I would love a story about Wolf or Rig. Yeeessss.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book.

Badger and Rosie are both sex on a stick - or, in her case, on a pole. Night after night, she's on that stage dancing for him. She constantly feels his eyes on her, and it fuels her sensual movements. But she doesn't need any romantic entanglements right now. Like Rosie, Badger can't help but see the way Rosie looks at him from the stage and can't keep from longing to claim her. But he doesn't do strippers. Those girls always have so much baggage and Rosie's no different than the rest of them. At least that's what he thinks. And then there's the issue of he's possessiveness; any woman of his would not be on display for other men. Well it would seem they have a problem then, because their need for each other is undeniable. They've built walls so thick that they're hoping no one ever breaks through. Too bad they've found the one that will change them forever. And oh how I loved watching those walls come tumbling down! Rosie and Badger had a visceral connection and seriously crazy chemistry. I can't believe it took them months to finally give into their need for each other. I wonder how much longer it would have taken them if danger hadn't walked in the door at that moment to shake their carefully laid foundations.

The author did a fantastic job detailing the dance scenes. I felt like I was there watching Rosie put on her shows. And the sex that followed later in the story had me flushed. These two are seriously hot together! I'm usually not a huge fan of dialogue during sex, but this author does a fantastic job of incorporating the right words with the moment. I was melting right along with Rosie. I loved that Badger is both dominant and romantic. He can pull back from being the controlling alpha male and show Rosie how much he cares for her and wants to please her.

Outside of the relationship story line, I enjoyed the element of danger. However, I would have liked a little more aggression from the villain in terms of his approach to get to Rosie. The sit and wait strategy didn't really do it for me. In the end, I liked how the action played out.

This was my first book by Dorothy Shaw, and I will definitely be back for more!

Taking a chance on an unknown author is always a double-edged sword. The book can be either amazing or not. Taking chance on someone is a gamble, that sometimes doesn’t pay off, yet, sometimes it provides you with a great story and an author who’ll most definitely make it on the ‘read-more-of-this’ shelf. Dorothy F. Shaw was one of those authors for me. Stripped Bounty was my first book by her and I loved it.

Rosie is down on her luck. Having run out of money as soon as she arrives in Arizona for a fresh start—after her husband was killed—she is forced to go back to a job she swore she never would perform again—stripping. Yet, Rosie is not your average stripper, she’s actually versatile and draws a crowd with her unique performance. She’s not at all what she appears to be on the surface. Rosie is quite the badass herself; she’s strong, loud-mouthed, filled with drama, and yet, also very vulnerable. Something Badger, the head of security at the strip club, comes to learn rather quickly.

Badger—biker, bouncer, and bounty hunter—doesn’t date, especially not a stripper. Yet, from the first moment he laid eyes on Rosie, he is drawn to her. Not only on physically, but he also senses on a deeper level that she is different—so very different from any woman he’s ever met. Badger is your typical alpha—dominant, sexy, bossy—yet, he also has a wicked sense of humor that made me laugh out loud multiple times. He’s the perfect package for any alpha love out there.

And the two together were explosive; their chemistry off the charts. They fit perfectly. She provided a challenge to his dominant side, while he was the only one who could tame her wild and reckless streak. And the sex—holy shit—the sex was off the charts. I don’t read many books with a D/s relationship in the bedroom, but I loved it with Badger and Rosie. It was the perfect fit for them and seriously hot.

STRIPPED BOUNTY by Dorothy F Shaw, was a really good read and my first by this author.

The story in this book was very well written and developed, and the plot was very fast paced, I was flipping pages faster than I could keep up with.  The characters in this book are very well developed, the chemistry between Rosie and Badger is felt coming off the pages from the moment they met you know they are destined to get together, I do have one issue with this book and that's how Badger speaks to Rosie when they are having relations, I understand that Badger is supposed to be the dominate in the relationship but the way he tells her how to do things was a real turn off for me.

Rosie on the run after her husband was murdered by a drug dealer whos money he stole, she finds herself at a strip bar looking for work , she hopes behind the bar and not on the stage, but when that's the only job avail, Rosie does what she needs to to make a living and put a roof over her head.  Rosie is the star of the strip club and is doing great, but what she cant figure out why Badger dislikes her so much even though he spends every night watching her like she is the air he needs to breathe.  Badger a former motorcycle club member turned bouncer has one rule, "don't date the dancers" but there is something about Rosie that has him wanting to break that rule.  When Rosie's past catches up with her, there is only one thing left to do and that's run as fast as she can and get the heck out of dodge, but her plan is foiled when Badger stops her.  From that moment forward a relationship that Badger does not see coming starts to build.   Will Badger be able to protect Rosie from the past that refuses to go away?

STRIPPED BOUNTY by Dorothy F Shaw is a stand alone book filled with strippers, BDSM scenes and a biker turned big softy, I would give STRIPPED Bounty 4/5 stars.

As most of you may already know, Dorothy is one of my most favorite Authors out there. She is one of the very few who can make me…um imagine what I am reading physically, and keep me wanting more.

Today I come to you with a brand new book released today, August 9, 2016 called “Stripped Bounty.” And wish to share my details of how this book landed on my palette.

Rosie had a husband, and he was a drug running bad boy. Now she works at Deuce’s strip club, since her husband has died, hoping to make a new and fresh start. The money sure seems easy enough with her body.

While on the pole often, Rose would gaze into the audience. She would see Badger the head bouncer, watching her, and she would often admire his masculine body. Although to Rosie, Badger just seemed like a dangerous hunk. She just wasn’t into that.

Badger would love to find out what Rosie is like, but he somehow feels she is just like all of the other women at Deuce’s. But something about her sexy body parts, they just keep calling to him, which he just can’t look away, no matter how hard he tries.

The thing about Badger that is different from most, is that he is one that likes his women submissive. But some woman like that, don’t they?

Once Badger finally gets his prize, Rosie into his bed, low and behold the dead husband’s killer comes back into the picture. But now it’s too late, because Rosie has bonded with Badger, and he wants to keep her all to himself. And in order to do so, he must also keep her safe.

If you know Dorothy, you know you will require a B.O.B. (Battery operated boyfriend) or a man, once you have completed this book, if not during. Her books are made and written to satisfy you, in every sense of the way. “Stripped Bounty” as with any and all of Dorothy’s books, is a five star read. This is a beautiful love story with shoot ‘em ups, and all. I loved every inch of this book, and as always I will be awaiting the next book by Dorothy’s book.

What can I say that I haven't said before when it comes to praising Dorothy Shaw?

First, girl can write a wicked hot alpha like no other. And Badger is true to that description. Badger is bounty hunter by day, Bouncer/bar back/bodyguard/biker/sex god by night...or Day...or really whenever ;) He meet's Rosie when she waltz's into his club looking for a job. But he has one rule, no strippers. Only there is more to Rosie than meets the eye, and try as he may, he just can't help his feelings.

Rosie is starting over/kinda on the run/trying to build a new life. She has to fall back on her dancing days when she is unable to find any other form of employment. I liked Rosie for the most part. She was, for the most part, likable. Not too strong, not to weak...but bendable to Badger's will (in the bedroom). She find's something in Badger that she never knew she wanted, besides the fact that he's just a sexy as hell biker guy ;)

These two are forced together when Rosie's past shows up in her present. And true to his alpha protective nature, Badger just takes over, tells her how it is and how it's gonna be. Sure she "tries" to fight him on it, but why bother Rosie? You know you love it when he's that way ;)

And Super hot/steamy sex scenes? Oh yeah....there's plenty a'that in this book. And I loved it! ;)

Looking for a filthy talking alpha and a heroine that's a little different? Dorothy F. Shaw delivers, and does so in a huge way! From page one, Stripped Bounty is different. Strippers, bouncers, drug runners and Badger.
Rosie is running from the drug lord who murdered her husband and one would think Connecticut to Arizona would be far enough. Badger has seen his share of strippers and bad guys, but nothing prepares him for Rosie. Rosie is different, not your run of the mill stripper, and Badger can't keep his eyes off of her from the second she walks through the door. Even when all her baggage and her own bad guy come to visit, Badger is by her side protecting his woman. Rosie's life was never easy, but her sex life was vanilla to say the least. But holy hot chemistry! When Rosie and Badger come together, sparks are an understatement. Rosie hands the reigns to Badger, who takes them willingly and the kindle-melting scenes that ensue are perfect.
This was my first Dorothy F. Shaw read, but will certainly not be my last. This book was hot as hell, suspenseful, and even touching.

Stripped Bounty is the first book I'm reading from author Dorothy F. Shaw.

Of all the great ratings the book has received, I found it hard to finish. The story started on a promising note, but then fell flat after 30% of the book. I found the plot really scattered. There were also a few gaps in the plot because of which the story felt flat.

While reading, I was told and was not shown, which is where the major reading gap happened for me. However, I must praise the author, Dorothy's writing of all the hot scenes. They were unique. The characters, not so much.

As much as Badger tried to dominate the space in the story, it didn't work because there was so much of telling. I didn't find Rosie to be a strong character. She was a badass, but an easily forgettable character.

Overall, I decent read.

I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book because I usually don't read MC books or characters like it, but I actually really liked Badger. The issue for me with this book was Rosie and how she acted. It's not that she's a stripper, because hey whatever she needed to do for money I won't judge, but its the lack of smart decisions and somewhat immaturity. She did seem to create drama where some wasn't needed and then she just acted without thinking a lot of the times. That was probably the hardest for me to relate to, which makes it hard for me to really enjoy the book. However, I still say Badger was amazing and there were a lot of HOT scenes, but some I would use different descriptors for things.
