The Reverians Series Boxed Set

Rate this book
This boxed set includes Defects, Rebels and Warriors. This 240,000-word collection is nearly 700 pages of treachery, paranormal, conspiracy and deadly thrills.

"The easiest way to control people is to make them think they're defective--but that only works until they realize they're not."

Book 1:
In the happy, clean community of Austin Valley, everything appears to be perfect. Seventeen-year-old Em Fuller, however, fears something is askew. Em is one of the new generation of Dream Travelers. For some reason, the gods have not seen fit to gift all of them with their expected special abilities.
Em is a Defect--one of the unfortunate Dream Travelers not gifted with a psychic power. Desperate to do whatever it takes to earn her gift, she endures painful daily injections along with commands from her overbearing, loveless father. One of the few bright spots in her life is the return of a friend she had thought dead--but with his return comes the knowledge of a shocking, unforgivable truth. The society Em thought was protecting her has actually been betraying her, but she has no idea how to break away from its authority without hurting everyone she loves.

Book 2:
Em returns to Austin Valley, but there are many things that don't add up about her homecoming. She's left Rogue behind and is adamant that Dr. Parker must leave the Valley with her. Zack agrees to help her, but soon learns she's not telling the whole truth when Rogue comes storming back. With the threesome reunited, they work on a plan to stop the Defect crisis. Their plan places all of them at risk, but Em knows they have no other choice. Hundreds of kids are being injected with poison every day and Nona, her sister, is one of them. Em Fuller has one mission and will stop at nothing to achieve it: Bring the government of Austin Valley down.

Book 3:
Austin Valley appears as it always has, but Em Fuller knows that appearances aren't what they seem. She knows under the surface, that cracks are starting to form in this seemingly well-manicured society. She's responsible for creating these cracks and for planting a slow dissension among many of the residents of this once happy city. Broken in a way Em never thought possible, she turns into a well-calculated, strategic leader. With the help of the brightest minds in Austin Valley, Em begins building an army whose only purpose is to protect the population of Austin Valley from their President, Victor Vider. Em firmly believes the success of her army is inevitable, that is until a new blow strikes her heart and she questions whether she has the tenacity to go on.

The society Em thought was protecting her has actually been betraying her, but she has no idea how to break away from its authority without hurting everyone she loves.

Book 2:

Book 3:
Austin Valley appears as it always has, but Em Fuller knows that appearances aren’t what they seem. Summary:

This was an incredible series about one woman’s struggle to save her people from an oppressive regime that they were not even aware of. Austin Valley seemed like the perfect place to live where everyone was happy and had everything they needed. At least on the surface. Em never understood why no one else seemed to question the rules they lived by or wondered about why every aspect of their lives were controlled except Em and a few others. For years, Em like all the other Defects were given shots to try and help them gain the special abilities of the rest of the dream travel society, but they never worked. One day after her injection she thought she heard a baby and went to help it, but instead she ran into a friend, Rogue the leaders son, who she thought died years ago. That one meeting opened up the reality of the lies and danger the Reverians and all those who lived in Austin Valley were subjected with. Thus began the struggle to save and free her people. Along the way others like Zack, Em’s friend, Nona, her younger sister, and countless others. Reverians all had different gifts given to them by the gods many of which were amazing. Em’s grandmother’s ability to speak to the dead aided them in finding out the truth about what what they were up against.

There were so many plot twists that kept the series riveting and spellbinding. The audio book came alive as the narrator brought a unique flare to each character. I was quickly drawn into the story as Em’s need to save her people over road anything else in her life. This was a compelling and incredible series.

The Reverians is an amazing trilogy that takes you on an emotional roller coaster that you will not want to get off. The author transports us into the world of the Dream Traveller's, spinning a story that will tear your heart out and leave it bleeding on the floor, before it managing to staunch the flow with its amazing ending. It is suspenseful, heart wrenching, beautiful and has some great, unexpected twists. The characters are captivating; from Ren's sarcastic, snarky personality, to Rouges selfless love, Nona's humour and Em's bravery, every one of them captures your heart and won't let it go. Sarah's descriptive writing ushers you into the Reverians world, making you experience the joys, woes, battles and fears the characters feel. This emotional, fast paced, exciting story is one that should not be missed.

Once again Sarah Noffke has given us a gift! She has blown away all other dystopian books with these unique characters. This is a dream traveler series and features some of my favorite characters. These books will leave your heart pumping and you will find yourself turning the pages as fast as your fingers can go! Em becomes the leader of a revolution at such a young age. One roll she didn't ask for but took with pride. Fighting for the ones she loves, she stops at nothing to win! The losses, the joy, the heartbreak and the twist have your emotions on a rollercoaster. This ride is one you definitely want to take

The Reverians all together at last. This series which ripped my heart out and stomped on it, yet still had me begging the author for more please is one of those stories that you just cannot put down. Now you can read the series all together without having to wait or look for the next book. These characters are among some of my favorites in the Dream Traveller world which Sarah Noffke has created. Enjoy the ride, I know I did.

Revierians

Awe these books had me sobbing. I have grown so attached to Em, Zack, Nona, and Rogue. I love being able to connect with characters so much you feel what they feel. I would recommend this series along with The Lucidites to everyone. Thank you Sarah Nofke for being such an amazing writer.

This box set includes all three novels in Sarah Noffke’s Reverians series of young adult dystopian adventures, which is part of her Dream Traveler universe. It’s an interesting world, and I always enjoy learning about different Dream Travelers and their abilities. Each novel tells part of a continuing story, so the box set is a convenient way to read them in order.

I thought our main character, Em, was likable enough, although she made some questionable decisions. She can be frustrating at times, but at least she seems relatively aware of her own flaws.

The premise is interesting, and the plot offers a few unexpected twists and turns. However, there’s not much nuance here, and some characters’ motivations didn’t make sense to me, which makes the story difficult to believe. The good characters are often unbelievably good and self-sacrificing, while the bad characters are unremittingly evil, although Ren provides some refreshing moral ambiguity.

I enjoyed some of the dialog, particularly the banter between Em and Parker’s mother Soon-hee, which was laugh out loud funny.

If you like dystopian stories and you’re able to suspend disbelief, this is an entertaining read with a satisfying conclusion to both the war and Em’s romantic confusion. The story is shockingly dark at times, so read with caution if you’re easily disturbed by violence and cruelty.

Elizabeth Klett did a good job with narration. She’s easy to understand, her pacing is good, and I enjoyed the character voices. This story works well as an audiobook.

I was given a free copy of the individual audiobooks by the author and volunteered to provide an honest review.

I've lost track of how many amazing books/series I've read by amazing/prolific author Sarah Noffke. Defects, The Reverians #1 is the first book in a new series. An exciting, enjoyable read with well-developed, memorable characters, since I own both the Kindle and Audible versions I was able to follow along as narrator Elizabeth Klett adds greatly to the book’s enjoyment. I've already started rebels, the second book in the series.

Incredibly well-written Rebels, The Reverians #2, the second book in the series brought tears to my eyes. An exciting, enjoyable read with well-developed, memorable characters, since I own both the Kindle and Audible versions I was able to follow along as narrator Elizabeth Klett added greatly to the book’s enjoyment. I've already started Warriors, the final book in the series

first, to understand why the dream traveler world is as messed up as it is i recommend reading the lucidites, after this the ren series, then olento research and finally the vagabond circus.

this book has a very different society of dream travelers than the lucidites, or even the voyageurs another society in the lucidites series. this society is corrupted by the powers in charge, treating the 'rebellious' with treatments meant to 'bring out' their gifts, but instead suppressing them. em is one of the ones being treated for not having her gift. after missing a treatment her gift starts to surface! soon her youngest sister is also starting to be treated. dream travel is also limited, and a punishment of having to sleep with night terrors is used for any almost any infraction. soon, a way to sever dream travelers from their abilities becomes a reality.

em has some unlikely allies, including her uncle (ren) who you'll remember from the lucidites series. his attitude makes you think he's a bad guy but he turns out to be one of the saviors of the kids in this society!

a love triangle resolves itself in a tearful way. hearts are healed, including my own.

These are the ninth to eleventh books I’ve read/listened to by this author (Defects, Rebels, Warriors). I’ve previously listened to The Olento Series, and Ren Series. I want to listen to everything about these characters!

This is another fabulous series. These books focus on an isolated society of Dream Travellers and the subservient non-Dream Travellers that work for them. They are all “ruled” by a narcissistic, manipulative man and his cohorts.
Em is amongst the oldest of the generations in which their gifts are not manifesting. Throughout the three books we learn why, and what her and her friends can do about it. Of course, it’s not easy. I love that Ren makes an appearance in each book. Although he has a role in these stories, I also like that he is not taking a leadership role.

These books are easy reads/listens and appropriate for young teens to adults. There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence or swearing.

These are the sixth to eighth books I’ve listened to by Elizabeth Klett. All previous books were by this author. The voices she gives the characters are distinct and appropriate. She brings out their personalities and the action of the story. I prefer to listen to at 1.25 speed but these books easily can be played at 1.5x speed.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this unbiased review.

I love Sarah's writing. I found this story to be lacking the strong heroine normally present in her writing. M is not my type of leading roll I like to read about. This whole story seemed, I don't know, inept. In book 2 she finds something out that surprises her, even though there was a revelation in book 1, that in my mind, should have been clear for the setting in book 2. There were exceptional parts that moved me.

If you have only read this series and were not quite into it, please check our her other work, it will blow you away.

4 1/2 Dream Traveling Stars

I honestly didn't think I was going to like this book when I first started because it was placed under the dystopian genre but really doesn't fit the description. I almost put it down but decided to keep going and I'm so happy that I did.

This series once the story really starts to flow is filled with action and adventure. A word of advice though...get your tissues ready for both sad and happy times.

A magical must read story

The Reverians series takes place in an idyllic valley filled with a magical race, but under the lovely surface, horrible things are happening. The story centers around a girl and her friends who discover and fight against the injustice. This is a spellbinding read. You'll be glad you got the box set.

I really loved spending time in this universe. I loved how M is so beautifully naive at the start and that we get to experience her growth alongside her. There were a few moments I had a major ugly cry that I couldn’t even eat dinner because I was so upset. No spoilers here, but you may want to grab some tissues!!

Audiobook review: I read this series when it first came out. The audiobook version did not disappoint. The theme of fighting against injustices fits in with today’s social issues. The storyline is entertaining and the characters are likable and believable. The narrator did a great job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Mystery, Intrigue, Romance and twists! The levels of Intrigue will astound you! More levels than a royal court of old. The twists will keep you spinning. It grabs you with the first book and keeps you reading until the end. Great characters and world building.

Defects: I started Defects as part of an on-line read along. Well, the read along is still going strong, but I couldn't put this one down. I finished a wee bit ahead of schedule.

I got a taste of Ms. Noffke's in "Ren" (highly recommended for the NA + crowd!) & am definitely a fan of her writing. If you're looking for a writer who really gets invested in her characters, this is your woman!

Defects is a coming-of-age gem. Em is a wonderfully relatable main character, and you can't help but love her friends (I'm especially fond of her little Nona). There were some appearances of loved and hated characters from the Ren series, as well.

This book grabs you, and refuses to let go. With a Dream Traveler cult, characters you will love, and characters you will love to loath, this one is one to read, and read again.

Rebels: Ms. Noffke, you are a brilliant writer. You strung me along, then tore out my heart and smashed it. Now of course I need to read the next one, so I can see how the characters deal with the ending of this one.

Once again I spent some quality time with Em, Rogue, Zack, and Nona. I relate, and feel for them, dealing with such horrible circumstances.

This book is intense, a page turner. I suggest a warm blanket, and a hot cup of tea, to see you through, because you're not putting this one down.

Warriors: Wow! What a great ending to this series! indeed! I'm not what to say, without giving anything away, but the things I hoped would happen, did. The main characters grow in strength, determination, and love.

The bad guys get their comeuppance, the good guys thrive. Well done! I can't wait to read more books by Ms. Noffke!

The Reverians Series Boxed Set
By Sarah Noffke

Defects
Sarah has brought us to an ideal town...in a valley in beautiful Oregon...where everyone is taken care of... So why all the injections? Why are some considered Defective? Em is determined to find out...with the help of the one guy she thought she'd lost...

Such great writing! Really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series!!

Rebels

Be ready for your emotions to go on a roller coaster ride... you'll laugh & cry, yell & huff...& definitely want to give the author a piece of your mind!! If you didn't fall in love with Rogue in Defects, you will in Rebels.

Warriors

My favorite quote:
"When you just walked into my room, I was struck by how no matter the circumstances, you light me up. I'm not sure why this revelation continues to surprise me, you've always been the bright spot in my life."

It amazes me how the author comes up with the most romantic quotes... After losing Rogue, Em and Zach team up to wage war... bringing in the Middlings & Defects (now Rebels) to take down President Vider... What an exciting end to the series!!

Overall, another awesome series set in a different Dream Traveler society. The story as a whole is great. Em's character was annoying at times, but I feel like her growth throughout is admirable. Another must read by Sarah Noffke
