Exploding oil wells. Millions of cars out of control. Two DARE winners in mortal danger. After Andy and Dylan are caught in a fiery explosion, Zander, JJ, Yasmin, Mila and Isabel realise their only chance to stop the next attack is to get one step ahead of The Signmaker.
But the evil mastermind is far from their only problem, with the DARE winners now on the run from police, government agents and sinister suited thugs.
Nowhere is safe. No-one can be trusted.
Can they stay free long enough to decode the Third Sign, stop the next attack and reveal The Signmaker’s true identity?
Wipeout is the third book in the Seven Signs series. I had enjoyed the first two books in the series and so I came to this book looking forward to a continuation of the story.
The book started with a bang and it was thoroughly exciting. The story slowed, however, in the middle but then changes in the plot brought the book back up to speed. The author’s changes in pace and use of language make for entertaining reading.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. You never know what is going to happen next in the storyline. I am really looking forward to the next books in this series.
Still don't have much to say about this series. It's action schlock, mostly, and while there's some interesting tidbits, there's barely anything there to give me something to talk about. For a series that takes place in the 2020s/30s, there's not really much in the way of worldbuilding - at least nothing truly interesting. Granted, that's pretty close to the modern day, but still...
On a side note, I get it - Greece is considered the birthplace of democracy. Thank you, Zander, for saying that over, and over, and OVER. Look, nothing against Greece, but if the country disappeared tomorrow, it's not like every other democractic state in the world would lose democracy (though these days, I'm not so sure). I'll give the book this that the data crash in Greece at the end is a bit haunting, but apart from that?
Like I said, action schlock. Okay for young readers, but not much meat here for anyone in their late teens or older.
Once again another action packed book that year 5 boys will enjoy but I think this series could have been condensed into two or three books. Seems like a good marketing strategy to have such a large number of quite thin books
Another fantastic book in a fantastic series. Everyone should read it. I wish these books were more popular than they are! Wouldn't a Seven Signs movie be fantastic? Or maybe a mini-series?
The action continues apace with the DARE winners trying to work out the 3rd set of symbols before disaster strikes again. This time they end up in Athens. Can they solve the puzzle fast enough?
