*Blank Stare* Ummm...
In my opinion, this author tried REALLY hard to sound lofty and haughty.. and fell on her face. Half of the sentences didn't make any sense ("Her life was on the line every minute her body was surrounded by the flames, she explained fueled her heart" Ummm... What??) And, although it's mostly told in the first person from the MC, there were these really random bits of POV from other characters... and the editing left MUCH to be desired. It was rushed (even for a novella) and corny and put me to mind of a 9th grade short story.
And that's just a few of the issues I had with this story. Overall, there were so many issues that my desire to DNF started ON THE FIRST PAGE; but I decided to go ahead and power through, it's only 40 pages, hoping that the story itself would be good... and was sorely disappointed.

Holy fire!
Ahhhh what will Nix do?
This is a quick and smutty read. Set in a firehouse. Nix is a female fire fighter and let's just say that she likes to get hot and heavy with her co-workers even when there is no actual fire.
It ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but there is a complete story in the first part. This story placed some tid bits that could lead to a deeper story in the next installment. In my opinion a very good start to what could be a great story!

Absolutely love this story. It involves firefighters and sex and in 40 pages, I have managed to love Phoenix and the fire fighter boys. Even though it is a short story, I don't fell at all cheated out of the story but got to know a lot about Phoenix. If you want a short, sharp hit of smut then this is the write book for you. Can't wait for part 2!!!

Really didn't expect that ending and I'm so intrigued with this Captain.

it's a short story...and it involves two of my favourite things...hot firemen and sex...what more can I say...can't wait for part 2..;p
