Cliffhanger ending. Not safe (detailed rape scenes by OM and a new rapist, OM2)!!!

Dual POVs. Better plot development & better characterization. Smoother writing too. More exciting as more tidbits exposed of what both H&h went through in the last 7 years. Like a puzzle whose image is becoming more identifiable as bigger pieces form together. H&h still haven't had sex but more foreplay (i.e., oral, kissing, touching). 2-stars off for ending it with h getting raped (again!!!!) by another man (OM2), who used to work for OM's company & who H was beginning to work with to get info about OM. H witnessed the rape (OM2 sexually-penetrated h once) before he killed OM2 by choking him with h's help.
Cliffhanger ending with H just killedOM2 with h's help, after he pulls off OM2 from raping h in the bathroom during a party.

Being a previous fan of N. Isabelle Blanco to reading this series, I knew what to look for: alpha hero, smart and sassy heroine that can go toe-to-toe with the hero, sexy, sensual scenes, and suspense coming at me from all angles. And this series did not disappoint. My only gripe is that Part #1 was quite repetitive with Andrew's thoughts and I got a wee bit tired reading about how thinking of any minute detail of Lexi could turn him on😶. All in all, once you get past that, the story soars, with action, suspense, sexy-time scenes that are totally over due for Lexi Berkman and Andrew Drevlow, and some darkness which wasn't overplayed because this is a revenge read and nothing bright and pretty about revenge😈. Since this is part #4 of a serial and the conclusion to the story, I will not go into detail for that will ruin the flow of the story and I'm no spoil sport.
I hope you will give this series a chance if you are into dark suspense reads.

Obsessively good. It's always a torture to wait for a new part of this series (or any other by this author) because I'm insanely addicted to her style.
The writing is pure fire, the characters are beyond control or sanity in regards to their feelings for each other, and the story just pulls you along inexorably.
Lexi and Andrew have reached a point of no return. He's hatching a plan to get back at tall their enemies, descending into a pit of murder and calculated madness. In the meantime, he's also controlling her, showing her pleasures she had forgotten, and painstakingly gaining her trust.
The double POV combines perfectly well with past events that mingle with the present situation. It's hard to accept that Lexi has endured so many tragedies and doesn't seem able to escape them, but at least we can enjoy the battle of wills she keeps with Drew, and their hot, electrifying passion that I'm dreaming they fulfill one day soon.
Dark, emotional, steamy and vengeful, this episode deepens the plot and the relationship, and I'm eager for the next part to slam into my mind again.

So this may be part 4 of the serial but I swear I could read 10 more parts of this before I was bored of the dark , suspenseful story !! I love the thrill of a serial but I was lucky enough to have all 4 parts of this at the same time so I was able to read it somewhat straight through !! Will Lexi and Drew ever escape their past ?? Drew is seeking revenge on anyone and anything that hurt Lexi and I think Lexi's path of revenge has finally changed and maybe - just maybe they can find their way to the happiness they once dreamed of having together... Obviously because this is a quick read and part of a serial I don't want to give anything away. If you like the dark/suspenseful this is your read !! And if you are unsure of that this is the perfect way to see if you enjoy it !!

This new novella started with a bang and ended with a bang! What a ride!!
Drew is his usual self..very secretive and more determined than ever to make everyone that hurt lexi pay.
Lexi is so confused..she can't tell anymore what's a lie and what is the truth.
Their story is getting more and more complicated..with old and new enemies making an appearance.
Can't wait for more!!!!!!!!!

I freaking love this series. Andrew proofs that he will do anything to protect Lexi and make everyone pays that hurt her. Lexi doesn't know if Andrew is guilty or not but she can't seem to get him out of her mind. There connection is so strong, that they both know it's inevitable that they will be together. Andrew wants revenge and Lexi by his side. I can't wait to read what will happen next
