I really enjoyed this story, I only have one big question. Through whole series there was reference to the Empire of Man, but not once did we read anything about the Emperor. All the decisions were made by the admirals and the politicians. It is very strange that in an Empire you never read about the Emperor.
Great read. T.S. Paul has a flair for sci-fi mixed with much humor using names and places from the present Era and earlier. All ten books have been fun to read.
I have found all of the Athena Lee books to be entertaining reads. And as a former Marine I'm willing to give the author a pass on the rank structure of the Martian and Hong Kong enlisted Marines.
I am getting a bit tired of the love scenes between the Athena and her Marine body guard. Let it go, work on the story more instead of skipping over soon much of the story line.
This is an engaging read, to me it seems that each story is a stand alone chapter. I like this way of writing, it gives you time to process between each story. Nice job!
RIP T.S. Paul This was a great series, Giving it 5 stars might of been a tad generous but this is for the whole series as a whole, T.S. Paul get writing i want more of this series and don't be afraid to make the books longer, (not that i'm complaining with Federal Witch), The Editing is a little sad but it is not enough to ruin the books, if you find that a problem then grow up and write your own books, the story is great , the world building is great, there are a few sub stories but they don't get in the way of the main story, the characters are great to follow and the baddies are good to hate, i really recomend this seris for light and fun SiFi reading RIP T.S. Paul he died in 2020
The first quarter of the book is irritating, the author keeps introducing new characters and then kills them as the Earth Invasion turns into genocide. I suppose it sets the scene but a quarter of the book is a bit excessive. I also dislike spending time trying to get to know the new characters only to find the author was just going to kill them. Fortunately the book improved when it was centred around Athena and what followed was an enjoyable but short story.
Have enjoyed reading this series. The new books carries on with the bad guys getting real bad and the good guys end up doing a smash and grab so to speak! Love the CATTS and Wilson. Thank goodness he helps Athena and her people!
Every ship available is heading to earth that is now unprotected, wonder what will happen!! CATTS are everywhere helping as they can. Love this series can't wait for more!!
Poor grammar, wooden dialog, and the ever perfect engineer. An AI working with the engineer to make things that always manages to get them out of a pickle. Yes I read the entire series, I was bored and couldn't sleep.
I enjoyed the book and where the story was heading but I needed more. The ending of this book was very abrupt and I have to wait months for the next one. Argh!
