Vincent

Quinn is not at all what I picture when I think of a porn star. She looks fresh-faced and youthful, with an amazing, natural body, and she’s both smart and independent. She’s even a great mom, as far as I can tell.

I’m too professional to say it, but even if this weren’t a job, I’d have the urge to protect her…maybe even do more than that.

But I need to focus on keeping her safe. I’m forcing myself not to notice the erotic way her body moves, her incredible sexiness, her delicious naked body spread out on that bed…

Wow…this is a little more intense than what I signed up for.

Quinn

The first time I lock eyes with my new bodyguard, I’m sprawled out on a massive bed in the studio, just wrapping up a shoot. To his credit, those gorgeous dark eyes are fixed on my face, not my naked body. And I see no judgment in them, so I guess it could be worse.

Even in my line of work, most women don’t need a bodyguard. But I’ve had a creepy stalker for some time now, and this tall, dark, silent cliché seems like the best way to protect myself – and my daughter.

There are just a few issues. I mean, Dragon Security is supposed to be the best in the biz, but what do I really know about this guy? He’s not a big talker, kind of aloof actually, and if I had to guess he’s probably haunted by some kind of dark past. And he demands complete control over my life, which I guess I understand…but I don’t have to like it.

But the biggest issue is probably that he’s so damn sexy.

I know – I should be used to it, right?

Ok so clearly this author doesn't know how to write a book with a continued story line. This is the second book in this series and while past characters are mentioned and a brief, very brief sentence or two is written about the original mystery. That's it, Nothing, nada zelch!!! WTF?!? yes the characters are good and the story seemed good but when the original premise of the story is your brother is killed and made to look like an accident, fiancee missing but leaving notes to let you know he's alive and the shocker is he has something to do with your brothers murder or is undercover. This is all in the first book but skimmed over in second as an after thought. No just no!!! What started out as a potentially good series fell flat and frustrating.
You can't tease a reader with a good storyline and keep us hanging then make said storyline a second thought in the next book. It's just not going to cut it.
I won't continue reading just to get snippets of information about a story that originally caught my eyes. Mark this as a disappointed read!

What a mess. The heroine has never had sex outside of the porn business or being molested, but about 24 hours after Vincent becomes her bodyguard, they are gettin' it on, and without condoms or any consideration of disease in either of their minds.

They're both pretty screwed up people who would benefit from a decent therapist, but hey that's what love or at least lovers are for, and they start to share their pain which will of course fix everything eventually--but will it do it in TIME?

Vincent, being an amazing security guard, circles her house on his first night and sees the heroine getting undressed through her open curtains. He enjoys the show and at no point does he suggest that perhaps she might want to close the curtains in the bedrooms.

The identity of the stalker is really tough to figure out. NOOOOO, it's not the one waving the Stalker flag!

When the stalker is identified they have lots of cars pull up near that house but meet inside a different house, to give the stalker enough time to run away, so we can later enjoy...the worst climactic stalker-confrontation fight scene ever.

The heroine is hospitalized and Vincent immediately leaves to go take care of his past angst, with no further contact with her. The end

Just kidding!

Spoiler:--------------------------------

Vincent returns about 4 weeks later and just shows up at a school event, 'cause that's really classy. The heroine is out of the hospital and has sold her house, closed and moved into a condo and sold her business. She wants to know why Vincent left her so abruptly, without any communication at all. Vincent basically shrugs. He's back. The End.

Book two of the series. I am disappointed that more of the original mystery was not continued (only briefly mentioned) but intrigued enough to continue to book three.

Vincent and Quinn😍 and of course Olivia are meant to be! Broken, but redeemable and worthy of the love they found.

Not enjoying this series as much as I thought I would, but they are filling a gap till I deside on what I'm in the mood for.

Mixed feelings

The first story in Dragon Security with Kate and Ash, dragged on and then culminated very quickly. The book also ended on a cliff hanger leaving lots of loose ends. Not happy. However, moving into Brian and Cassidy's story, the pace was good lots of twists a d the final outcome was totally unexpected. Hence only the three star rating.

I won't lie. When I started this book I was really hesitant because I couldn't figure out how a porn star, with a child, and one of the Dragon Security men, could possibly form a meaningful relationship.

Am I being judgmental? Probably. Which is probably why I rated it as a fence line read - neither here, nor there.

Great...

Continuation on the series! Hard to put down, even for a potty break or a snack. Really enjoying the interaction of the characters and how it brings the whole group together.

Good read

This is the second book in the Dragon series, this is Vincents story where he meets a sassy porn star Quinn who needs help to find her stalker. She soon turns Vincents world upside down and red hot love wins through. Good read.

Surprisingly good. I would have liked a little more on the original mystery from the first book but I suspect that there were a few clues there; they were just discounted. An on-the-edge-of-your-seat story and gorgeously engaging characters, I very quickly got over any discomfort from the setting.
