Elon Musk has been busy improving humanity’s chance of long term survival for nearly 20 years. After helping to form PayPal, Musk went on to form a company whose work has since replaced the space shuttle when it comes to NASA flights to the space station and is behind the recent expansion in the number of electric cars on the road as well.
In addition to being a compelling story of triumphing against adversity, 'Elon Best Lessons for Life, Business, Success and Entrepreneurship!' has plenty to teach when it comes to learning the lessons that Musk has taken to heart to achieve his success.
Musk is a symbol of the American dream, despite not being American, he is truly self-made, working his way through college and starting his first business in time to take advantage of the burgeoning internet scene to become a millionaire before the age of 30.
Unlike many people who might think that was enough, Musk instead put his money into another startup which quintupled his net worth when his company was purchased by eBay. From there he went on to become the CEO of two companies which are each worth $1 billion. Do yourself a favor, learn from what Musk has done, and read this book today.
It was a quick read but after getting it recommended a couple times I expected a little more depth. The mostly factual account was interesting as far as it went but if you are looking for deep understanding you might need to try someplace else. If that level of detail is even out there.
A quick biography with all the highlights of this enigmatic inventor and modern day Einstein... who settled for nothing simple or ordinary. Quite inspiring !
Very informative and easy to read. Elon is an incredible individual which the book lays out in an exciting tale. No credit is given to this equally amazing country where he and other gifted individuals are able to pursue such dreams.
This book isn’t a full-blown biography like Ashlee Vance’s Elon Musk, but more of a quick-hit guide to the key lessons people often associate with Musk’s approach to life and business. It’s short, straightforward, and easy to digest—something you could finish in one or two sittings.
It covers some of the main principles Musk is known for: thinking from first principles, taking bold risks, being relentlessly focused on the mission, and working with intense discipline. There are mentions of how he approaches innovation at Tesla and SpaceX, how he deals with failure, and how he maintains a long-term vision despite constant pressure.
That said, it’s not super deep. A lot of the content feels pulled from public interviews, quotes, and popular knowledge about Musk. So if you’re already familiar with him, there might not be much new here. But if you’re looking for a compact, motivational read—or a light introduction to Musk’s mindset—it does the job.
Bottom line: It’s not a detailed biography or heavily researched book, but more of an inspirational summary of Musk’s most famous habits and philosophies. Good as a quick spark of motivation or a gift for someone new to entrepreneurship or tech.
Pros: Easy to read and straight to the point. Cons: 1. Full of typographical errors even though it is the book's third edition. 2. Repeats itself incessantly. 3. No citations to direct readers to the source of information. Through their copyright notice, the author(s) go as for as stating that they are not responsible for the information contained in the book. 4. The author(s) didn't dare to put his/her/their name(s) on the book.
This biography is very inspiring and a great motivational tool for entrepreneurs. The author made Musk seem both like an unbelievingly successful self made man as well as showing his human side of failures and tragedies. It is repetitive in a couple places but not enough to deter from the book.
Please do not read this book. It tells you nothing about Elon Musk, his life, his way of management, his thinking. There is no take away from this book. It is more of a dump of information from Wikipedia and there is NOTHING gained from reading this book, let alone buying it. A total disappointment.
This book is perfect for people struggling through Their life and considering to quit, this book will not only keep you fighting with odds but also tells you how to turn them into your favour. Thumbs up to the writer for putting it in such elegant way, and a ton of respect to the one and only Elon Musk.
Basically (and I know the description says it’s the author’s view) but basically it’s Elon’s Wikipedia page drawn out by the author to be “informative to others.
A waste of a book. Interesting to know Elon’s adventures but boring and a quick web search could of told me more
Its in my Masters program and doing a paper on Tesla that I became curious about Musk. This book was a quick read and a little redundant but I'm inspired to move forward with my dreams.
Well, the book briefly describe Elon Musk and his vision and his achievements so far. It's a great book. But, there should be more emphasis and details on the important turning point in Elon's life
