Five bestselling Western romance authors come together to bring you one collection of all-new stories that will sweep you off your feet!
MAIL ORDER MIDWIFE by Kirsten Osbourne - Widowed midwife Patsy Lawrence spent too much time working and not enough with her young daughter. She knew Emily's childhood would be over before she realized it, so she responded to an ad for a mail-order bride, hoping for a better future for them both.
Dr. Wesley Hardy needed a wife to complete him, so he sent a letter to a mail-order bride agency back East. When he received a letter from a widow with a young daughter, he was thrilled with everything but her profession. Could he live with the fact that his new bride was a midwife? Or would they be destined to live without love for the rest of their days?
A BROKEN WING by Amelia C. Adams - Bored beyond all reason while riding a train from Missouri to Colorado, Trinity Scott amuses herself by imagining things about the passengers around her, including the handsome man sitting across the aisle. With his dark curly hair and warm brown eyes, he’s certainly intriguing, and the fact that his arm is in a sling makes him all the more a curiosity.
But when three dangerous men board the train, her desire for adventure and excitement takes a sinister turn, and she must call on her inner strength to do what’s needed to survive.
THE MARSHAL’S REBELLIOUS BRIDE by Cassie Hayes - U.S. Marshal Curtis ‘Griff’ Griffith is on the trail of a wanted man. The last thing he needs is to be distracted by the newest resident of the Dalton Brothers Ranch. So why does he keep returning? It’s certainly not to see the beautiful-but-bullheaded Catherine James.
Catherine has no interest in men or marriage, but there aren’t many choices for single ladies to earn a living on a remote Texas ranch. When she discovers that she holds the key to capturing the outlaw — and collecting some of the reward — she doesn’t hesitate to force Griff’s hand.
Will they kill each other before they find the murderer, or will they risk their damaged hearts for a shot at a new life?
COURTING MISS CARTWRIGHT by Kristin Holt - Courtship, by the book, is supposed to be easy…
As the daughter of an unwed mother, Felicity Percival is accustomed to rejection. Her mother was her only family ... until she is summoned to the reading of her father's will. To learn he was a married preacher with a second daughter horrifies her. The stipulations attached to her inheritance infuriate her. The last thing she expects is the emergence of truths that destroy her life-long beliefs. The last thing she wants is to feel the blush of first love for a man she can't have.
The road to Happily Ever After should not be rocky, especially for level-headed, rule-following Rocky Gideon. His courtship of the minister’s daughter is successful and on track, surviving everything life throws at them … except the appearance of the preacher’s other daughter. Felicity asks too many questions, forces him to evaluate his carefully constructed plan, and somehow steals his heart.
Rocky desperately needs a solid marriage that will go the distance … so why does he yearn for the wrong sister?
THE PERFECT HUSBAND by Margery Scott - Sybil Franklin needs a husband—fast! In order to keep her ranch, she must be married within thirteen days. Devin McGregor meets all her requirements and comes highly recommended, but he has no interest in marriage.
Devin McGregor had a ranch once, a fiancée, a future. He made a mistake, and it cost him everything. Now, even though he’d love to own his own land again, he’s afraid to risk failure.
Sybil decides to post an advertisement for the perfect husband. As Devin tries to protect her from being taken advantage of, his feelings for her grow, but his fear of failing her won’t let him accept her proposal.
Both Sybil and Devin have choices, but making the right choice means they could both lose everything.
1. A Broken Wing by Amelia C. Adams ACCIDENTS ARE JUST FATE DECIDING TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS I enjoyed this story that will take the reader on a train ride that will alter the life for Trinity Scott. No one should be used as a pawn for someone else’s gain, but that is her fate. From Missouri to Colorado to marry a man three times her age to secure a loan for her father. Meeting Dr. Raymond Foster and chatting, a train robbery, and a delay in travels builds a whirlwind relationship. A stop in Topeka, back at the Brody Hotel and Restaurant and time to help the law seals the deal on train robbers. The plot and characters will keep the pages turning as Raymond and Trinity meet, deal with a life and death situation, talk open and honestly and declare their feelings. Sometimes when life seems to be offering you lemons you can sweeten the deal and make lemonade.
2. The Marshal’s Rebellious Bride by Cassie Hayes YOU’RE MY LIGHTHOUSE, WITHOUT YOU, I’D BE NOTHING BUT LONELY I enjoyed this spinoff story from the Dalton Brides series. Catherine James comes across to Marshall Curtis Griffith as a pretentious lady, but he still has eyes for her. Catherine has hidden secrets and never plans to marry, she just needs a way to make a living and remain a spinster. Griff has his own demons he has been fighting, and those demons have altered his plans in life, and his new motto is that of a US Marshall, Justice, Integrity, and Service. What a man will end up agreeing to for a woman leads to a life and death situation along with an open and honest discussion of the past and declarations of feelings and desires for the future. “I never want to forget that no matter how wicked the world seems or how hard life becomes, love is always with us.”
3. COURTING MISS CARTWRIGHT by Kristin Holt SINS OF THE PARENTS PASSED DOWN TO THE CHILD I enjoyed this emotional and at time heart-wrenching story that takes the reader on a roller coaster ride of ups and downs. Felicity Percival grew up with the stigma of being born on the wrong side of the sheets and suffered from the shameful, hidden secret. She was ostracized as a child, and even into adulthood. Now, two years after the death of her mother, she has been summons to the reading of the will of one Reverend Cedric Cartwright. Brought by train to Mountain Home, Colorado, among strangers and unexpected news. What a shock to Temperance to find out she has a half-sister. Rocky Gideon has courted Temperance but feels an instant attraction to Felicity. The stipulations of the will require that these sisters live together and work together. What seems like a nightmare, actually becomes a blessing in disguise. Several unexpected surprises will come about as this story unfolds. Just remember, “A child is not responsible for their parents’ happiness. The deficiency is not your responsibility but that of your parents.” I especially enjoyed all the marriage and courting advice before each chapter.
4. Wanted: The Perfect Husband by Margery Scott YOU CAN’T GO THROUGH LIFE WITH ‘WHAT IF’ I enjoyed this thought-provoking story that brought out some excellent points; no one has a guarantee of tomorrow and how important that we make the best of each day. Sybil Franklin is dealing with the death of her mother, and in a locked truck, learns that the father she had always been told was deceased, had been alive until about nine months prior and had named her in his will. She has nothing holding her to Ohio and travels to Colorado. The reading of the will gives her thirteen days to marry or forfeit the ranch. The story is full of characters who are willing to marry the beautiful girl to get the ranch and inheritance. The only man she wants is Devin McGregor, and he turns her down. “I’ll be happy to change my mind, just as soon as you change yours.” Devin tries to talk Sybil out of her advertisement for a husband and thwarts several would-be suitors. “Isn’t everything we do risky?”
5. Mail Order Midwife by Kirsten Osbourne FINDING WHAT YOU DIDN’T KNOW YOU NEED A beautiful story of not two, but three people finding happiness together. Widowed midwife Patsy Lawrence knew it was time to remarry and answered a mail-order bride ad, taking her and her daughter, Emily to South Dakota. Dr. Wesley Hardy needs someone to help cook and clean and it is time to have a wife. What he wasn’t expecting was for her to be a midwife and take away so many of his patients. Together these two learn that working together and sharing the workload of the doctor was a blessing in disguise. The women in town are happy to have a midwife, and Dr. Hardy learns it isn’t anything against him as a physician but the comfort of his mothers-to-be with another female. Then there is Emily, she is not your ordinary little girl, no this one would rather play outdoors in the mud or playing baseball with the boys. True happiness doesn’t always come in a neat little package, and they also don’t always fit stereotypes.
I enjoyed all the stories and the authors were all great storytellers.
Each of the novella s were well told. I cat remember if there were any grammatical errors so there must been any which means a lot to as it shows a writer's detail of excellence. I enjoyed these stories and they were sweet and entertaining. I'm recovering from an accident.
I enjoyed this collections of stories from some wonderful historical western authors!

Will they be happy with what they find and get the love match they desired or be stuck in a heartless and unfulfilling match?
I received this book for free in exchange for a fair review.
A Broken Wing by Amelia C. Adams
This is a wonderful sweet clean romance! I’m afraid to give too much away but suffice to say, it’s beautiful and reminds all women of their value and how they should be treated! Trinity gets a taste of respect from both the people on the train and the people in the hotel! She is courageous and strong! Now that she understands how it feels to be treated right, she shows some self-love and makes better decisions for her own future! I’ve only read Amelia’s American Mail Order Brides books so far, (and loved them), but plan to try her Kansas Crossroads Series. A New Beginning (Kansas Crossroads Book 1) looks like it covers the Brody Family who are the proprietors of the Brody Hotel featured in this book!
The Marshal’s Rebellious Bride by Cassie Hayes
I love stories where the main characters start out as enemies or against each other in same way! That is definitely the case in this sweet story! First impressions leave them both a bit disgusted with each other but time spent together getting to know the real person puts the truth on the front page! They’ve been fighting their natural attraction to each other for all the wrong reasons! What a fun tale filled with adventure and some previous characters and locations from Cassie’s Dalton Brides series (with Kirsten Osbourne and Kit Morgan)! If you want to find out what happens to Catherine after her kidnapping this book is the one to fill in all the gaps! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Courting Miss Cartwright by Kristin Holt
Wow! What an awesome story! I loved the whole concept! Just wow! Again, don’t want to give too much away but this story if full of intrigue, questions, guilt, shame, secrets, and an affair? Of course, there’s true love and a happy ever after, but you must read this book to find out! You won’t regret it! My first book of Kristin’s was WANTED: Midwife Bride part of A Timeless Romance Anthology: Mail Order Bride Collection! Kristin in an author to check out if you haven’t read her books yet! They are just OUTSTANDING!
Wanted: The Perfect Husband by Margery Scott
This is the first book of Margery’s that I've read and I absolutely loved it! Nothing like thinking you've lost your chance at love to make you fight with all your heart!! This was a wonderful book! It looks like the Morgans of Rocky Ridge series explain why there are so many Morgan families in this town. I look forward to reading more about them!
Mail Order Midwife by Kirsten Osbourne
Another winner by Kirsten, but then she is known as the Kween! This story is the perfect example of not judging someone based on your first impression or what the “norm” is! To truly love someone, you love them for all their imperfections and even their “faults”! And boy does this family have a lot of those! But as expected, this too has a Happy Ever After as every great romance should! I hope you take a chance on this anthology! I know if you love romance, you’ll love these sweet stories from these amazing authors, and who knows you might just get addicted!
Most collections you read have one or two good books in it and the rest are just okay. That is not the case with this collection. Every single book in it was great! They were all well written and kept your attention from beginning to end. I found several new authors that I will definitely seek out to read more from them.
A Broken Wing by Amelia C Adams This was such a sweet romance. I liked how their love was a slow buildup not instant like most novellas. I like how the story found their happily ever after and went on to put an ending to the surgery and having the dad’s acceptance. I didn’t feel that I was missing something when I finished the book.
The Marshal’s Rebellious Bride by Cassie Hayes Loved this story! The story starts with the main characters being on opposite sides and not looking “for” each other. It shows that you can’t always judge someone by first impression that you need to get to know the first person. However, getting to know each other led them to a happy ending. I enjoyed the banter back and forth and how in the most desperate times that their love was finally brought out into the open. It was done splendidly and make the whole scene seem real.
Courting Miss Cartwright by Kristin Holt I liked how this story is not your typical story. To spin a story where two people are against each other and come together for the best of the family is not always the easiest thing however K. Holt pulled it off splendidly. I couldn’t wait to finish the book to find out what happened with the two sisters.
Wanted the Perfect Husband by Margery Scott Oh my goodness, what a story! I liked how even though Devin didn’t want Sybil, he didn’t want anyone else to have her either. It shows that when you think you don’t have a chance at love and don’t think you deserve it; you never know what is in the other’s person’s heart. I liked how it wasn’t a quick fall in love and get together book. I thought it was all plotted well and made the story seem real. The only thing I was left wondering is why did the dad leave and stay married to Sybil’s mom.
Mail Order Midwife by Kirsten Osbourne Sweet, sweet story! I enjoyed reading this story from beginning to end. It was not your traditional woman, which ended up causing some conflict, only to have them work things out and find their happy ending. I found it funny when the little girl was covered in mud and the Dr. Hardy didn’t know who it was. It made a typical child into an untypical child which I thought was great! Emily is sure to capture anyone’s heart.
Five books by five talented authors. If you like reading westerns, this is the box set for you. Well worth the read and money. You will not be disappointed in any of the books in this set.
I can't say anything except WOW WOW WOW, usually when you by a box set there is maybe one book that didn't really hold your interest but not with this one each book gets you right from the start all the way to the end. I loved that you also got to revisit some characters from prior books. To list about each book would be way to long, they all had characters to love and some to not like so much, I was laughing at times and caught up in suspense at other times these books give you a wide range of emotions they are wonderful. And little Emily from Kirsten Osbourne's book is a little spitfire you can't help but love her new daddy had his hands full. Again all these books are fantastic and I hope these five authors come together to do another box set I LOVED IT thank you ladies for your amazing books
Great Weekend reading from some of my favorite authors
This is a wonderful collection of 5 stories, each different from the others. If you are familiar with these authors you will return to the Brody Hotel in Topeka, meet another bride from Beckham, and see how the Dalton and Blue families are doing down in Texas.
You will experience a train robbery, track down an outlaw, learn the proper way to court a lady, and most of all, you will experience couples finding love and acceptance when they don't truly expect to.
I am a beta reader for Amelia Adams so I was privileged to read her story in advance. I have enjoyed her Kansas Crossroads books from the start. I have read 4 of the 5 authors previously and they do not disappoint in this collection.
Note that this is available as a collection for a limited time. Enjoy!
I loved each of these books by five different authors. Each story was completely different from the others and I enjoyed getting to know each hero and heroine from different walks of life, looking for their HEA with the right person. I discovered and enjoyed a new author whose books I never read before and also enjoyed catching up with four favorites. Packed with romance, humor and a little suspense, I was kept busy reading each one from beginning to end. All in all, each were very entertaining fun reads and I highly recommend. JudyE
A fine addition to this collection is “A Broken Wing” by Amelia Adams, it is a fast-paced story set in the late 1800’s in the Midwest. Trinity Scott and Raymond Foster are two people riding on a train to uncertain futures, for Trinity it is a ride to complete a business deal and for Raymond, it is to see if he will be able to assume the life he loves. The two strike up a conversation, but when circumstances beyond their control force them to work together, they see that their futures are about to become entwined in passion and romance. I was given this book to read by the author in exchange for an honest review.
This was a great little love story written by one of my favorite authors. Kirsten's stories are always satisfying to read when you want to read a good love story that isn't filled with angst and torment until the two main characters finally admit their love for each other. She weaves a tapestry that one can easily feel like they are right there and a part of the story. Always well written, full of humor and love.
Bravo Ladies! You know how you get one of the books with more than one book in it. You like this book you like that book but rarely all of them. Don't you worry these five are all winners! I couldn't pick a favorite. I loved them all. Enjoy all five! Bravo again!
I love all of these ladies and their stories. I enjoyed all five of the stories. If you want a little taste of what they write this is a great way to find out. What I loved is that they are sweet and clean love stories and that you just fall into the storyline and don't want it to end.
I received a copy in exchange for my honest review.
I Just loved this Story With Patsy and Emily . They made Beautiful Mom and Daughter and Wesley was A Wonderful Husband and Father. This was written and put together so good. I am looking forward to more Stories to read. But I would like to hear more of this About this Story. Shirley Ketcham
This is a great collection of 5 books all written by some of my favorite authors. Each story grabs and holds your attention all the way to the end. I was sad when I finished the last book because I wanted the collection to continue on!
Cowboys and Calico is a great collection of books by fabulous western romance authors I enjoyed every book in the collection I would love to read another collection by this group of authors .
What a delightful collection of love stories. These sweet romances were well-written and entertaining. Two involved doctors, yet were unique. Some were part of existing book series that I recognized, but were written to stand alone. I enjoyed them all.
Each book was a lovely story. short but very good story line. The characters were ones that you could really like an be happy for them. Highly recommend.. I don't normally like to read a bundle of books but these are definitely a great read.
I really enjoyed all the stories in Cowboys and Calico! This anthology of romances took me on an adventurous ride to happily ever after. I highly recommend this book and these authors to readers who love historical romance.
A lovely collection of sweet western novels. They are all rather short. My favorite was The Marshals Rebellious Bride. The Mail Order Midwife was my least favorite. I got this as a bargain and was defiantly worth the download.
I loved most of the authors before I read this. The stories are great. Many are part of story series that I already love yet they are also stand alones. Must read!!
