Summer Madness
Ten years is a long time to have a crush.
Their high school reunion is Luke's chance for a shot at Alexander, whom he adored in high school. In training for the past eighteen months to shed the extra weight he'd always carried, he's ready to show Alexander he isn't the boy they called Podge anymore.
As the big day draws nearer and the summer days get hotter, Luke continues running with his next door neighbour Max to stay in shape. But everything is blown apart though when Luke almost faints in the heat, falls into Max's arms, and straight into 'no strings attached' sex.

Fun little story. Good for Luke. He found a good guy in Max. And pssst to Alexander.

The story is well written. I really liked The characters in this book. I wish it was a bit longer and you got more of their relationship.

I've enjoyed Ruby Moone's novellas before. They are well written pure romance fluff. Summer Madness is a novellete, I think? A bit on the shorter side but very well crafted. The main character is obviously an idiot pining after some high school crush but these guys are kind of idiots both and very cute together.

3.5 stars - I was a little wary of the weight loss aspect, but it was handled pretty well. Moone seems to be fairly deft with short stories and novellas.
