Dr. Molly Ryan’s life is filled with diagnostic reports, IV meds, crash carts, knifings, shootings, heart attacks...basically life and death. Her life is on track and she loves it. Everything is as it should be and on a course that was years in the making; but when the steely blue eyes and charismatic energy of Hollywood superstar Richard T. Vaughan comes into her life, life as she knows it will no longer follow the path she’s imagined.
After weeks of yearning and abstinence neither can resist the other. And after one incredibly sensual night, when emotions and desires raged and were let loose in a whirlwind of incomparable passion, Richard is forced to return home to London with no idea when he'll return. He’s heartbroken, or so it seems, but he’s an actor, a chameleon, a salesman. Why should Molly believe him when he tells her that he'll come back? So, in the instant of his departure she shuts down and lets him go with nothing more than a squeeze of his hands.
Nearly a year passes when Molly and Richard are forced together again in a strange twist of fate and tragedy. She’s thought of him more than she’s wanted. His face has been everywhere as promotion for his latest film splashes the covers of magazines and billboards. No matter how hard she’s tried she couldn't escape the Richard T. Vaughan universe.
So now that he’s back, will she allow her emotions to take charge? Will she finally give up her control? Will she move on? Or, will she give in to the whirlwind?

I debated between 3 and 4 stars on this one and would have give it 3.5 if that were an option. I thought the story line was really entertaining. I disagree with one of the other reviews about her being mentally ill - first of all, I think there are lots of doctors struggling with things like depression but her mental stability didn't become an issue until a dire event occurs toward the end of the novel. I also think that many doctors self-diagnose and self-treat. I didn't see the angel/devil indicating any type of mental illness - I thought it was the authors way of portraying the heroines moral conscious. Again, I enjoyed the story. I liked the characters and thought for the most part they were well developed. My biggest issue with this book was the apparent lack of a professional editor. Even though I wanted to read the story, several times I was tempted to put the book down because I couldn't stand the use of the wrong word i.e. waist vs waste or beacon vs. bacon. Personally, I think if the author would have a professional edit done that could take this book from a 3.5 to a 4.5. But I'm a grammar nazi with degrees in English so maybe it wouldn't bother others the way it did me. I see real potential in the author's writing.

A smoking hot novel KL Thomas about an ER MD and a movie star. Did I like this book? Yes. On a whole I did like this book. It had a dynamic host of characters who each moved in their world realistically, even though some (Richard--the movie star) were far fetched from reality. While I did not care for the heroine, I have to disagree with another review that said an ER MD should not be mentally ill. Mental illness comes in all shapes and sizes and it does not discriminate. Most people who battle mental illnesses can function in society. But yes; Molly was bonkers--totally; right down to the ending. She drove me nuts. Do you know what that means? It means that this author was able to move the reader by effective words. That's the beginning of good writing right there!
There were times in this book were I couldn't put it down and others where I had to step away for a while because I was so angry at the plot devices used. While I gave this book 3 stars "I liked it", I feel that this story would be much better told without so many words. The one main thing that dropped it in rating was the medical situations and OB tidbits at the end. Confession: I'm an high risk obstetrical nurse. The diagnoses described in the end of this book was not plausible, but I'm sure if I didn't have the knowledge of the medical field, I wouldn't have noticed as no one else has mentioned it.
Overall, the writing was good and I believe this author shows promise. I would read future books by KL Thomas.

I was given an ARC for a honest review.

I'm on the fence about this book. I think the story line is good. Dr. Molly Ryan meets actor Richard T. Vaughan. I liked Richard, but the two of them are awkward together. One minute Molly is hot, the next she's cold. One minute Richard is an alpha, the next he is passive. I was rooting for Richard the entire book. The way Molly just dismissed him was immature. Then she meets David who she strings along because she refuses to admit she loves Richard. It was different with the female being the indecisive one in a relationship. The ending of this story was sweet. I really did like Richard.

This book is wordy and is written from the main character Molly's POV. For the majority of the book you are reading her thoughts. There are more thoughts than dialogue and that makes the story extremely long. The story did flow when the characters were conversing.

Side note - This was the first book that I've read where smoking seemed to be a big part of the character. It didn't take from the her, but it didn't enhance her either. I'm just not a fan.

Over all 3.5 rating.

The story begins with a young women named Molly Ryan.

She is doctor.

Molly is happy with her life. Stable job, has a nice place to live, paradise.

Until Richard comes into her life.

He spins her whole world on it's axis.

Richard is a Hollywood star, he is used to getting what he want's and women are literally falling at his feet, except for Molly. He loves a good challenge.

Molly is at a loss on to why Richard would want a women like her. They spend one night of passion and it is bliss. But life seems to always get in the way. Richard with a heavy heart returns back home. Leaving a women that he slowly was falling for.

But they reunite under tragic circumstances.....
Will they be able to fall back in eachother's arms or will their jobs be to important and lose what they have?

Read to find out.

Now on to why I gave this book 3 stars, the storyline itself I thought it was good. But I did feel in my opinion that it jumped a bit to much. Nothing against the author what so ever, I liked it and will read more from K.L. Thomas.

This was a great concept for a story line. A successful action hero and an ER trauma physician. Two different worlds about to intersect.
Molly is just finishing up her residency and embarking on her career as a successful physician. She has had more than her fair share of heartbreak in the past but is supported by loving and caring friends.
Richard is a Hollywood Superstar and portrayed as a playboy in the media. When the two them cross paths the attraction is immediate but neither one acts upon it due to circumstances surrounding them. Fate has a way of once again brining them together and a whirlwind on again..is it off again relationship ensues.
They are from two different worlds and Molly constantly doubts the feelings they share when they are together. I truly wanted to love Richard but as a reader he didn't reveal enough of himself to me for that to happen. Molly had many layers to her character and I enjoyed watching them unfold whether they be good, bad strong or weak they made her who she is.
I truly enjoyed being a part of their story to tell.

Molly is fresh out of medical school and living her dream as a doctor. When she meets Richard sparks fly and she has never had a reaction to a man like she does him. Richard is an actor and a good one at that. He is intrigued by Molly because of her beauty and brains. She is the total package.

There one night together has left an impression on both of them. The more they think they can move on from it there is still something holding them back.

A twist of fate has brought them both together again will they get it right or will there careers keep them apart.

I enjoyed the character's and the story. It did seem to get a bit long in the middle but the ending was great. I think the angel/devil was comical and added to the story. I think it also helped her to decide right from wrong and give her the extra nudge at times.

This is the first book that I have read by this author, so I had no idea what to expect. I really did enjoy this story about Molly and Richard.

Molly is a doctor and Richard is a big actor. When their lives crossed they were so different, but still completely drawn to one another. Their one night of passion ended quickly when Richard had to go home to England when his father was sick.

Both Molly and Richard go through a lot to get their happy ever after. Some would say they have had their share of bad luck.

I did enjoy this story, but only one criticism I have is that it was quite long and the story kind of dragged out in the middle. Apart from that it was an enjoyable story.

I adored this book. it grabbed me after the first chapter and I couldn't put it down. Whirlwind is definately an accurate and fitting title for this book. It had my emotions all over the place. Rollercoaster! I liked the devil/angel aspect as well as the b*tch. I wanted to grab Molly sometimes and shake her then yell at her for being so blind at what she had in her friends, family, co-workers and most of all Richard who was and is amazing. I kept hoping she would get a clue and open her eyes, mind and heart. I'm glad the way things ended. I enjoyed the story from first sentence to the last. I fell in love with the characters and their relationships between each other.

This is my first bad review. I read a lot and this one just didn't do at all.. The way the female was protracted was just plain insulting. First someone that is suppose to be an ER DR should not be mentally I'll. Smart enough to take excellent care of a trauma patient but to stupid to know her own health problems were serious come on. The little "angel" "devil" that we're suppose to be her conscious were just as irritating as the characters them self. Thank goodness this one was a free one even a nickel would of been over priced

It's an ok story.
I didn't like this book but I didn't hate it either. It's a readable book and the storyline although blowing hot and cold has good promise. The two main characters Molly and Richard didn't do it for me. Couldn't connect to either of them and definitely didn't feel any of their chemistry. I personally didn't feel like they gelled and seemed to be forced together. So why did I finish it I hear you ask. Well, I don't like leaving a book unfinished and to be honest, there are some funny and sweet moments which seemed to redeem it a little bit. But other than that, an ok read

The story was entertaining. A doctor and a movie star. Interesting, I thought so too. I like the story as a whole, and I liked the development of the characters. The constant referring to the devil and angle was confusing at time. And Molly came off to me like everything should be her way or the highway. In many ways she came off so strong, that Richard took second to her. Richard also was confusing. He seemed like he had a mental problem, but that wasn't made clear. Overall it was an enjoyable story and I do look forward to reading more from this author.

I was given this book in return for an honest review.

To be honest I didn't hold high hopes for enjoying this book as the romance genre isn't one I usually read. But I was definitely pleasantly surprised. What started as the usual boy meets girl, they date blah blah blah, break up scenario, quickly sucked me in to be much more than that. The story line bought so much more from the characters than I truly expected and I quickly found myself hoping for the best.

TO BE FAIR I STRUGGLED WITH THIS BOOK A LITTLE. THE STORYLINE WAS WELL WRITTEN AND EXCITING AT TIMES BUT I STRUGGLED WITH THE LENGTH IN GENERAL. AT SOME PARTS IT FELT THE STORY STRUGGLED AND WAS DRAWN OUT. ALL IN ALL A GOOD READ.

I finished this book with mixed feelings. While I tried to find Molly as strong and resilient, I actually saw her as indecisive and weak. The storyline jumped so much it felt cold and clinical.
