Brandon Brown is a cringe-worthy story of an eight-year-old child who wants a dog. Considering it was written for beginners of Spanish, it gets a pass for its simple and bland usage of words. Brandon asks his mother for a dog but she says no because it’s too big of a responsibility for an eight-year-old. Brandon eventually takes a dog from a park and claims it as his own. The dog is obviously not properly trained and makes several messes for which Brandon receives the blame.
All in all the story is hardly involved and the ending is emotionally numb and void of the supposed care this child had felt. In the end, it left me with the sense that this child isn’t fit to care for a dog, and just needs to grow up a little. Brandon is a guiltless elementary schooler looking out for his own self-interests at any cost.

this book put me through hell, the kid is such a brat and wouldnt stop complaining the whole ass time. He didnt give the STOLEN DOG a good home and didnt even take him on walks, leaving the poor dog to brew in his hot room all day. THE POOR GIRL GOT HER DOG STOLEN and this kid doesnt even get punished like- THE DOG WAS NEGLECTED BY THIS STUPID BOY AND I just dont have the patience to ever read this book again. I would give 0 stars but i cant so...

I really enjoyed the book and it gave me just enough new terminology to challenge myself. I will be using the other Brandon Brown books to help further my Spanish, and I highly recommend this one for beginner Spanish learners!

This book has an Ironic ending. It is, yes, for younger kids, its a simple kindergarten book, for learning Spanish. If you are trying to learn Spanish, I suggest this book for you. It is written in French as well, and I presume other languages. This book is mostly about a young boy, age 8, named Brandon Brown. Brandon wants a dog, but his mom says that they are too much work. Brandon was not happy with his mothers answer. He did not know what to do, he just wouldn't get a puppy he decided. Brandon and his friend Jake go to the park one day and... You'll just have to read the book.

Anyway, I take French 1, and this book is our first reading book, and it was horrible. The plot was really terrible, and if I'm going to be honest, the only good part was at the end. You see, the whole book is about a boy called Brandon, who really wants a dog. His mom won't allow it, so what does he do? He brings a dog home in secret of course. Obviously then he eventually has all sorts of bad experiences with the dog, and then he eventually finds the dog's owner. Why the end is good is because ironically, he gets a dog for his birthday because at the beginning of the book, he tells his mom that he wants a dog for his birthday. That gives it 2 stars, so why it has 3 is because it is easy to understand and only has simple vocab. So yeah. Don't read unless you're taking French. Just don't.

This book was an extremely helpful tool for me in Spanish class. the story is about an eight year old boy named Brandon who would do anything to have a dog. His mom refuses to get him one and continuously tells him that they are too much responsibility for a boy his age. Brandon and his friend Jake go to the park one day and are pleasantly surprised by what they find. Finally, on his ninth birthday, Brandon gets the gift he always wanted. This story was a fun, helpful way for me to learn new grammar techniques and see Spanish used in large amounts. The book was very fun and would be a good book for elementary or middle school students who are starting to learn Spanish. Overall, I really enjoyed this fun, adventurous story and it helped me learn how to write Spanish in large amounts.

Do not mind the spelling/grammer trying to type this before my german teacher finds out what I am doing. Do not let this review change your mind about reading the book. The reason I gave it a one star is well simply I was assigned the prodject in my german class. In my oppinion I personally did not enjoy it I felt it was to simple at times and that the plot was just unessasry to turn into a 80 page book. However looking from the teachers point of veiw I relized this isnt so bad, it is a really well written good book however the reason I didnt quite enjoy it was becouse it was assigned to me and it was a little out of my age range (not that you have to read your age rage) and I didnt find the plot at all intresting. Now had it been one of my childhood books I would of been hands down the best it would of brought so many memories.

Unlike other students who have slapped one star on this book for having to read it in their language classes, they are just so wrong. This book is absolutely insane in such a childish way and it's amazing. Some kid steals a dog from the park and hides it in his closet from his family. He literally makes his family think he's insane and barks and acts like a dog for like half the book and watching the family being concerned for is sanity is a good time. The dog shits everywhere and Brandon just makes his family believe that he did it somehow and the doctors literally diagnosed with A VIRUS
this is the book of the century and if you call it cringe they hated jesus too

Brandon Quiere un Perro is a great book to learn more Spanish. In the beginning of the book, Brandon wants a dog, but his mom won't let him get one because they cause a lot of problems. Then, Brown finds a dog in the park and takes it home. His mom doesn't know he has the dog, so he hides it from her. The dog then starts peeing and pooping everywhere and Brandon's mom gets worried. She takes Braden to the doctors in they say he might have a virus. After this, Brandon realizes that dogs really do cause a lot of problems and he goes to the park and the original owner takes the dog. In the end, ironically, Brandon gets a dog for his birthday.

Das buch ist so la la. Ein junge ist heiße Brandon Brown. Brandon nimmts eine hünchen und hat eine groß Geheimmis. Brandon’s hünchen macht ein hundehaufen auf den Boden und ist eine groß problem. Brandon Vortäuschung eine hunde und sagt „Wau, Wau“. Mit ein hünchen ist viel Arbeit und Brandon ist nicht glücklich. Brandon’s Mutti denkt auch Brandon Wett das Bett. Brandon hat to Loswerden ein hünchen. Brandon funde eine Machen wer sagt ein hünchen ist Ihrer. Später Brandon bekommt ein hünchen für sein Geburtstag.

I read this book with my Spanish class at the beginning of the year. Brandon Brown wants a dog but his mom won't let him. After wishing and asking over and over and over, him and his friend Jake find a dog in a park, and Brandon decides to take it home, and keep it a secret from his family. This book is great for early Spanish learners and I highly recommend it not for the plot exactly, but for the vocabulary that you will learn from it.

I don’t actually remember when I finished this but it was good I guess, really nothing special. Just a small small book I read for my French class. It was nice being able to understand what was going on since it was in another language. And I did learn some new basic vocab. So that’s good, but the book and story itself is seriously nothing special at all what so ever. It is just good for practicing how much basic French you know. Yay.

I never finished this book. I started when school was coming to an end and in class, we stopped reading for our daily warm ups. I really enjoyed what I had read. This book had a cute plot and was quite an easy read. I can relate to the title because I want a dog also.
