When I was assigned this book, I thought, "yet another book on the Holy Spirit?"
But Hudson recognizes this in his writing, and, with his simple, storied narrative style, prioritizes the relational, contemplative, and actionable aspects of the Holy Spirit's work in the Christ-follower's life. In this way, he refuses to intellectualize the mystery of the Holy Spirit, which the Western Christian tradition oft debates on and misses the point to. So, it was a good book to read and one to keep in mind.

Having sat under Trevor’s gentle teaching I heard his voice the entire time I read this. Simple as an idea, more difficult in practice to choose to receive the gifts and workings of the Spirit.
