Don't even waste your time. This was horrible and in much need of an editor. Someone who graduates from undergrad makes... partner at a law firm. And then the author kept using incorrect terms for American football. We don't call games 'matches' and we rarely call orange markers 'pylons.' I know it's a romance novel but doesn't hurt to do ANY research to make this book believable.

Not bad,cute story. Odell and Gryphon were adorable. My only complaint is this book felt a little bit rushed,but a nice sexy read.

Imani never been disappoints! This is completely phenomenal! I absolutely love this hilariously sexy series and I’m counting the days to the next book to be release. Ms. King writes in a way that draws you into the story. The chemistry and pull between Odell and Griff is well done and leaves you craving more. She keeps you right on the edge without boring you and really builds her characters so they have wonderful depth. Their attraction and relationship isn't forced for the sake of the story, that's why I like to read sport romance. This is an excellent contemporary sport romance. The minor characters came to life for me, making the story that much more enjoyable. If you want to laugh, cry and feel like happily ever after is a real thing, this book is for you. Imani King is so creative, she develops a innovative, engrossing and believable story. Ms King builds great sports world, providing them with amazing details that flesh out and enhance the story as well as the three dimensional primary and secondary characters. This story is tightly written, well paced and has a number of unexpected twists and character development is outstanding. Ms.King is not only gifted at creating a story that comes alive, but she has a deep three dimensional character development. I like that the author develops strong female protagonists who have the internal strength to overcome. The males are alpha but have an inner core that allows them to feel strong and be confident. Another thing I especially like in this novel (and a fair number of her other works) is that Ms. King crafts and hones the developing relationship between the main characters, something I like when reading sport romance, creates simmering sexual tension and sizzling sex scenes.
There are movers and shakers in this story that makes this really awesome. I do not want to give the spoilers away but there are certain points/scenes in this book that are must reads. Odell is a woman who is smart and while Griff isn’t a bad man, just use to women chasing him. When you get to heart of him, he is a really nice and alpha sexy man who is an animal but a tender man when it comes to his lady. The journey between Odell and Griff is wonderful ,sexy , funny and sweet.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm a hopeless romantic and this book gave me romance and so much more. This is a great book to add to your TBR list. I'm so excited about reading the next book from Imani King. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It needs to be on your must read list. I rate this story 5 stars and give it a sexy score of 5 this is well worth the read!

Which Surprise???
Typical, interracial sports romance. Gryphon, Griff, is the quarterback on a team trying to make it to the SuperBowl. He's being accused of domestic abuse by an ex-girlfriend who is willing to settle out of court for a million dollars. He has a one night affair with Odell, who finds out the next day that she's his lawyer.
Of course, they have a volatile relationship. He's expected to lead his team to the SuperBowl. She's a partner at a law firm where her father is one of the senior partners. The other senior partner doesn't think people of color or women should work there. Therefore, he sets her up for failure. She forced out of the law firm even after winning Griff's case because of her sexual relationship with him. It seemed to matter little that her father is one of the senior partners who started the law firm.
Of course, there's the unexpected pregnancy or pregnancies. This is simply erotic sex looking for a story. The fact that Odell was hired in as a partner was unrealistic. The grammatical errors were overwhelming. There's nothing new or interesting in this interracial romance.

good story, but Imani is always good. The only problem I have is the foolishness of marriage. They are well established financially, they've established they love each other, but they are going to slow walk into marriage, while continuing to make and have these babies. That's a run-on sentence, for sure.
What in the Sam Hill is up with this logic of unprotected sex, but you're building towards a stronger connection before the commitment of marriage? Babies, Babies, Babies...but WHOA! "Let's slow it down". smh

Okay.
This book was quite enjoyable until the 3/4 mark where the story simply unraveled and it became so syrupy and not so enjoyable. Suddenly a very independent woman cannot function by herself because she is now pregnant? The information of the pregnancy is so nonchalant, as if they were saying good morning? Really? This author had me up to the pregnancy; after that the story did not connect.
The next book was too unbelievable. The entire setup of the workplace was simply unrealistic for a billionaire. And his instant love was very unbelievable.....did not buy it, especially in his situation. I am a reader that does not like a lot of unnecessary angst; however, no angst does not do it. Again, much too syrupy.

The story is about an African-American female lawyer who meets a white baller and precedes to have a one nightstand of anonymous sex. She later discovers that he is her client. They have to get through a lot of obstacles to be together. I enjoyed reading this book even though it needs editing, I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading very good interracial romance novels.

well then, I was thinking about giving the book 4 stars because IT felt like strong ,good 4 until It didnt... near the ending it became quite neglectful and felt Rushed ,a lot .
I just sat there, in front of the book and couldnt wrap my head around a lots of things ...My smart heroine and hero did and said things I just couldnt understand after I got to know them in the beggining so yeah the book was still good and I liked it but but some things felt off.

I initially received this book as an ARC by the author. I ended buying my own copy. The book was a pretty good read. I enjoyed the story of Gryphon and Odell. I just wish it could have been longer like Kaden and Tasha's story. I'm in love with these bad boy football players and the women they fall in love with. I can't wait to read Brandon and Sandra's story. You rock Imani.

ANOTHER AWESOME READ!!!
Of course, Ms. Imani does it again with another awesome series!!! I absolutely loved this story!!! I loved the back and forth, the characters were captivating, and the ending was very different!!! I love it that Imani went off of the usual grid and gave the story an interesting twist and ending!!! GREAT STUFF!!! I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT PART!!!!

Love this one too!! Odell is very intelligent & independent and she’s ready to take her career to the next level, she just needs a man for one night. Griff is a ladies man looking for his prey for the night. He spots her and goes in for the play, lol. I enjoyed reading their story and can’t wait to read what’s next!!

Gryphon and Odell two adults not looking for a long term relationship got the opposite a love of a lifetime.
I love the Bad Boy Ballers series plus the two for one with the next novel. Gryphon was wrongly accused of abuse
and Odell was the lawyer on the case from there lies ,deceit, and abuse was discovered. This was an page turner
And kept my interest.

How do I love this series!!! The first book makes you remember about high school. This one makes you reflect about life after college.

What amazing story by Imani King. She has got a hot chemistry going between these two, Odell & Gryphon. I enjoyed the adventure that she gave me. From the start to the end was none stop action and suspense. I was given this story for a honest review.

A fairly good read. Good story line however if explored in depth the story would have been great. The challenges the characters faced was resolved too easily and therefore the story seemed a bit flat. But I enjoyed it enough to read it til the end.

I enjoyed this book. It's the 2nd in the series and very different from the 1st. Love Ms. King's writing and especially love that she didn't go with traditional ending. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

CHANGES
This story got better after the first two chapters. The heroin and her best friend need a straight up down. Hell, they needed one through out the book. I'm just glad that one of the CORBETT brothers was in the book. Nice tie in. Trifling gold diggers and stuck up hoes.

Good book
Getting two books for the price of one is not always a good thing but this time it was. Although I enjoyed the first book the most both were good. These books are good for anyone who wants to read two different takes on BWWM romance.
