Neale Donald Walsch is a modern day spiritual messenger whose words continue to touch the world in profound ways. With an early interest in religion and a deeply felt connection to spirituality, Neale spent the majority of his life thriving professionally, yet searching for spiritual meaning before beginning his now famous conversation with God. His With God series of books has been translated into 34 languages, touching millions of lives and inspiring important changes in their day-to-day lives.
In addition to authoring the renowned With God series, Neale has published 16 other works, as well as a number of video and audio programs. Available throughout the world, each of the CwG dialogue books has made the New York Times Bestseller list, Conversations with God-Book 1 occupying that list for over two and half years.
The With God Series has redefined God and shifted spiritual paradigms around the globe. In order to deal with the enormous response to his writings, Neale created the Conversations with God Foundation, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to inspiring the world to help itself move from violence to peace, from confusion to clarity, and from anger to love.
Neale's work has taken him from the steps of Macchu Picchu in Peru to the steps of the Shinto shrines of Japan, from Red Square in Moscow to St. Peters Square in Vatican City to Tiananmen Square in China. And everywhere he has gone-from South Africa to Norway, Croatia to The Netherlands, the streets of Zurich to the streets of Seoul, Neale has found a hunger among the people to find a new way to live, at last, in peace and harmony, and he has sought to bring people a new understanding of life and of God which would allow them to experience that."
This was the first complete book I have read by the author. I have had two others on my shelf for years, but I am slightly skeptical of channeled works. However, I did happen to watch a MindValley video of him that intrigued me. I am very interested in the spiritual/emotional evolution of the human race before we destroy our beautiful planet. So I bought this book on my Kindle and read it.
This is ALL about practices that will help us to evolve and grow into more advanced humans. I highlighted the most pertinent paragraphs to go back and read again. This is a book I wish everyone would read. We have the choice to continue down the path we're currently on, or to change course and save ourselves. LOVE is the answer. We must come together.
Exactly what the world needs now! The whole series have changed my perspective on so much. I just can't get enough. If you're ready for the next level of spirituality, you've found your answer.
Probably, for me, the best of the four CWG books...though, perhaps, that's because I had read and thus deeply integrated books 1 to 3 several years ago, at a time when thet became such catalyts to my spiritual growth. In fact, is is possible to take CWG out of the massive consciousness growth spirt I had around 2011 and for it still to have taken place in the way that it did? I'm really not sure. The long running CWG is woven deeply into my pyche and, the odd things is, the reason for this is that they always feel like they are REMINDING me of WHAT I ALREADY KNEW; like descaling all those deeply encrusted layers of forgetfulness and separation mentality as I read each familiar and, often, deeply affecting line.
You could almost...I say almost...read this 4th book as a stand-alone as NDW recaps on most of the important points from those earlier books, as much for himself as his audience since, as he says, he wasn't expecting to have this fourth conversation so long after the others took place. The refresher is a useful mechanism, not only for taking you back to their content but for distilling so much of the wisdom in a way that feels more potent by the end. More potent, this time also, for the fact there is a distinct message of "action-plan" by the end. This book is no mere exercise in navel-gazing, it is a call to make this stuff real and actionable, integrated, VISIBLE and part of everyday life. Not only do I love that message but I was more than ready to hear it...which is why, I suspect, I stalled at my first attempt to read it (by getting distracted into reading other books), only to pick it up again, on an apparent "whim", at the exact moment I was flailing around looking for more actionable- spiritual direction a couple of months ago. I had reached a point when I was almost desperate to polish off that all-important spiritual dimension of my life in a world that was starting to look pretty tarnished and hopeless again (the news will do that to you!); and to find ways of integrating it into my "real life", my relatively small and largely unnoticed life, in ways that will still count and make a difference...not only for me but for others, by way of a contribution. What is proposed here is neither daunting nor untenable but, rather, fully achievable by every single one of us, being remarkably simple yet powerful...but I do recommend reading the book to get there and feel this current of posibility coursing through you!
In fact I recommend all of them, and everything else NDW has ever published (this one set me off on a NDW binge since I had haardly noticed before that he has so many in publication, running well into double figures). And, I hasten to add - please don't get put off by the title - they are NOT, in any way, shape or form, about religion....get that out of your head...nor are they preachy or condescending. I am always so amazed that just so many of the friends that I consider to be spiritual explorers or delvers into practical metaphysics have yet to read these wonderful books - they are top of my recommendation list to anyone who will listen!
It is as brilliant as the three previous books. God and Neale are taking us on one more familiar, yet unfamiliar journey. It touches the soul, it moves the heart, it shines so much love and care and comforts the tears that come down pouring as one reads.
God draws a parallel between the society of Highly Evolved Beings and the one of humans at present. With this, it is offered the opportunity to choose otherwise first for ourselves, then for the whole species. There is a constant comparison of how HEBs choose from a place of aware love, and how humans choose from a place of unaware love. It makes one wonder and strive to improve by choosing better, more freely and more lovingly.
The other subject in this book is Death, or 'Continuation Day', as known to HEBs. The concept introduced here brings comfort and peace, for everyone that already departed and left us heartbroken behind, and also for all of us that are about to experience our own mortality.
I highly recommend it. Regardless if you read it as fiction, or as truth, it's worthwhile reading. And for the ones striving towards awakwning, it's definitely a must.
Conversations with God book 4 is as good as the first 3 books, it does repeat concepts from the precious books but it also discusses new concepts such as the decision of souls to move between the physical and the metaphysical state, the way evolved beings live their lives and what is still there to learn for the human race to evolve and be an advanced community.
( audiobook version.) Very concise. There are several pivotal points which every human being should receive. The book is a blessing as are all the other books. There are several key factors for this one being unique for me. It is a little grandeur in concept at times, but with an open mind, it'll be very beneficial to the reader
"Budi ljubav. Voli. Probudi se." To su jos ona neodgovorena pitanja i odgovori. Sjajna knjiga. Podsjecanje. Energija.
This spoke to my condition right now and resonated deeply. I am taking a workshop with Walsch in a few weeks and I read this as a part of my preparation for that. I am so glad I did. The message is a simple one, but no less important. We're at a crisis point on this planet. Will we awaken? And once we do, what will do to help others do the same? I can't wait to meet Neale in person and discuss what's next.
Possibly Neale Donald needed the money, because I don't see the point in this last book. It was more of what I consider his glorifying his thoughts/opinions. Not enlightening at all and kind of boring.
I love all of you. Every single human on this planet Earth. I love your beingness. I love your lives. I love your love. I love all the here and the now. Thank you for being human all this time. Now is our time to reunite with God and each other from all over the world. Together we become who we truly are: Love.
Love is unconditional, eternal, and infinite. We can not fail to love but sometimes we forget how to love. It is time for us to forgive and remembers the love that lies deep inside us. In the darkest time, "what love would do now" will be the question that helps us to choose who we are and who we choose to be consciously in the moment. Every moment is precious, perfect and beautiful. That's why we are all perfect at every single moment. We are all love, all one, and all infinite.
When I finished reading this book, my mother passed away after a difficult time with her cancer disease. The moment of her death is the moment of my enlightenment. I know this is the greatest gift she can give me as a mother, a friend, a lover and a beautiful angel who love me all the time. She reminded me what love is and how to love again. As a young teenager, all I want to do is separate myself from everybody (friends, lovers, relatives, societies, etc). And living in separation give me the satisfaction but not pleasure. The moment she died I realized that there are no boundaries between me and everybody. It simply an illusion I make it up to protect me from the outside and nurture the fear that raises inside of me. I have lived in denial all the time and never let anybody knows who I really am. Now I will share my gifts to everyone I know and everyone who comes to my life.
Thank you, mom, for being the love that you always be. Thank you, everyone, for your beingness. I love all of you.
(Print version) The last book of the CWG series ends with a call to all to awaken the species. It a good message, and I enjoyed reading the book. I still feel that the first book of the series was the most genuine one, closely followed by the third.
Some paragraphs I liked: -Because being awake and knowing what you know . . . and having all that you know fully integrated into your life . . . are two different things.
-In the absence of dark, light is not. In the absence of small, big is not. In the absence of fast, slow is not. And in the absence of what you have called “bad,” what you have called “good” is not. Therefore, judge not and neither condemn, but be a light unto the darkness, that you might announce and declare, express and fulfill, know and experience Who You Really Are—and that all others whose lives you touch might know who they really are as well, by the power of your example.
-If, on the other hand, you imagine that you have a limited time in which to experience what you desire to experience, you will give up your peace to acquire it, or to hold onto it if and when you do acquire it
-Remember always that a “leader” is not one who says, “Follow me.” A leader is one who says, “I’ll go first.”
-No, because every conceivable outcome has already occurred, and the one that you , and those of you in this life, will experience is the one that you will choose—and I will not do anything to preempt that choice, or the making of it by you. I will always leave you a choice in the matter. This is true Godliness. This is the truest experience of Divinity. And this is the experience I desire for you.
-Yet we think of each of these “transitions” as what we label a lifetime , and we don’t experience that we leave our physical form “at will.” We experience that it happens against our will.
A most unusual book, I’m not sure I’ve ever read anything quite like it. Consisting of transcripts of conversations Neale Donald Walsch had - with God, or wth himself? It’s open to conjecture, of course, depending on how you come at these books, and on your own personal philosophy. God certainly has a fresh and modern tone here, but is as illusive and twisty-turns as ever when asked the really big questions. This is the latest in a series of such conversations - something I didn't know. I’ve never read any of the preceding books so I come at this idea fresh. Some of the conversations serve to reinforce a lot of current ‘new Age’ thinking, the kind of thing to be found in The Secret and Abraham Hicks, but the main thread running through these conversations is the notion that highly advanced beings - possibly aliens in human form, possibly angelic beings of some kind - was amongst us, attempting to direct human development, at which point one is tempted to bellow aloud, then they’re doing a terrible job of it - but then this apparent failure is addressed by NDW/God; we are not as rubbish as we might think we are. I find it immensely hard to review this book since I do not honestly believe the author is talking to a deity. I choose to read this as one man’s philosophy, shared as a conversation with ‘God’ - and since, as the book strongly infers - we are all part of God, then in talking to himself, the author is indeed talking to God. As are we all. And we all (especially those who are most fanatically religious) seem to disagree so hard with each other, which is intriguing. It was an interesting read, quick and easy ad I’m glad I read it, but not so much so as to make me want to seek out NDW’s three previous conversations.
The book introduces over-arching framework to emulate highly enlightened society. In doing so, it touches familiar ground with previous CWG materials. While this can be criticized as repeat for casual reader, the invitation opens new doors as practitioner. Meaning, to put into practice there can be new invitation to check using your own conversation with God. Example book point #1 Unity of All Life is introduced from spirit-metaphysic standpoint in this CWG book 4 but when practiced in real life can be beset by practical resistance. This may invite a specific spiritual practice method such as Special Method of Exchanging Self and Others. This method is not described in the book, but example here to illustrate my point you can find something new when put into practice. Example book point #16 Harness the Power of Metaphysics may offer the reader new exciting places. The book already offer a few examples. Variety of metaphysical knowledge has been existing in human world under various kingdoms of crystals, plants, shamanic, ancient masters, angelic and more. Other example Bazi and Feng Shui (a traditional Chinese metaphysical art). People can work with metaphysical with proper transmission and training. You could explore the metaphysical Law of Attraction by Abraham Hicks as it is very accessible approach using emotion as vantage point. The motivation behind messages (though info may repeat of previous CWG material) in this book is to offer the reader to lead the way. It offers insight on how to start and how to do this properly. When the invitation is accepted and applied, you will notice subtle points between the lines such as three modes of being, supreme source and you might find new material yourself, as you read book point #1, #2, #3 till #16 all over again.
The messages alone deserve 5 stars, if everyone took on the premise we are 'all one' and connected to each other as part of the human race and also part of the collective consciousness how different the world would look. Like it said in the dialogue why would you hurt another when doing so would be hurting yourself, it wouldn't make sense to do that, what a strong message that is. Working together in the world to keep the environment healthy has to be a priority too. if the environment isn't healthy then what is the point of money, greed and wealth, because there wouldn't be any societies left in the future to enjoy it anyway. Also spreading the Wealth around to everyone and helping people who are struggling even to have some basic needs like clean water and food seems so obvious and makes sense for a race that believes we are all one and connected to each other. In many ways we are a primitive species, often this world is driven by money and greed and people who want things now at any cost, which makes me very sad. Like it said in the book, look around you now are things working ? if not maybe there needs to be a big change and consciousness shift to make this world a better and safer place to live for us, our children, the animal kingdom and the next generations to come. I hope there is light at the end of the tunnel and I do believe there is a wave of people now who do want to change things for the better and move forward towards a healthier world, being aware of the fine balance of our Ecosystems that has worked for many thousands of years to help us to be able to live and thrive. I just hope it's not too late. Reading this book and the messages it imparts, the above is what I was left reflecting on.
While not new thought (takes me back 30 years to Ram Dass and his amazing insights on life and beyond life), this is a fantastically time appropriate book. If you're frustrated with the current situation in the US and world, this may be of significant help to you. It was to me.
If you're a follower of the 'Conversations With God" book series you'll notice the more ease-ful writing style in this latest (and apparently the last) book. I enjoyed this one the most, but it's inspired me to return to reading books 1 through 3 again.
If you enjoyed the first CWG books you will enjoy this one. I listened to the audiobook but then had to buy the hardback as there was just so much information. A fascinating look at the concept of Awakening and what it means for the future of the world we live in.
A essential read for humanity. This book came to me at the right time, having read the other 3 in the series I was not aware of book 4 and stumbled upon it while at work. Now to walk the walk as they say!
The conversation continues for those that want specifics from God about this very moment in time and not just the overall picture of things. As usual, easy to read, inspiring, and a guide for daily living for those that wish to live a life that reflects the highest consciousness.
Unable to explain why, I am giving this a low rating. Maybe it’s because the book seemed forced, whereas the first three were full of a natural energy.
