Frankie is on a mission to secure the prized property contract from Derek and he’s on a mission of his very own, one that holds a lot more pleasure for them both. Will she be willing to comply and give in to desires when both her reputation and possibly her career are at risk?
The Derek Block we're introduced to in episode one is merely a whisper of his true potential as a swoon worthy dirty talking character. I love his directness and his forthright ability to articulate exactly what he wants without reservation. He’s wealthy beyond his needs and I enjoyed the way he uses his wealth, it's understated and utterly cool, just like him. It reflects his charisma and power rather than being ostentatious. He's dominant, powerful and craves control in all areas of his life. His endearing rugged quality is celebrated in this episode, the picture is still clear that he’s not her conventional clean cut type of guy, but I appreciated the view of how it was told so much more. Derek, for me, is translating to his full sexilicious glory and I like him very, very much.
Frankie allows her sensibilities and ambition to rule her heart. Her confidence is sometimes lacking but, when she embraces her desires and lustful wants, her reticence is abated making their up-close-and-personal moments off the charts HOT! It’s like someone flicks a switch in her and she’s able to show her true self. Holy WOW as her confidence grows and as he asserts his dominance the fireworks go off and their animal attraction for each other takes over in a wonderfully erotic-dirty-talking way.
Brea is the perfect additional character and friend for Frankie. She reflects Frankie's true inner wants and gives her the encouragement to follow her desires, rather than her head.
I wish some things had played out differently...
There's a far-fetched scenario, it's literally a description in a scene that felt a little out of place to me and didn't seem entirely necessary but on the other side of the equation one could equally argue that it was a lovely and romantic moment with a fairy tale quality. We still have factors to uncover in Derek’s life; we still need to find out the reasons why? I found some of the parameters Derek places on himself a little irksome and unoriginal but I trust in this author and I think it will all become clear in terms of motivation. These are small issues and in no way stopped me from enjoying every other single element of this sexy story. I love it when a book makes me question and wonder about their character and motivation, I like to add it all up and make it all plausible and this story certainly provides me with those opportunities.
The SEXY EROTIC HOTNESS is total perfection. The tone, pace and timing of it and the climax of this episode is titillating. It’s short, has a fun element, and a perfect what-the-heck-is-going-on at the end? It left me wanting more, more, more, which is exactly how a story released as a serial should leave a reader. I rated the first part 4 stars and after a lot of thought episode two is a 4.5 star for me. Unblocked is, without a doubt the current serial every erotic reader should be seeking out and devouring. If you haven't already started I highly recommend you jump in and experience Derek and Frankie. Bask in the excitement and anticipation as each episode is revealed.

Episode Two certainly delivered in the steam department. No...steam doesn't even quite describe how incredibly sexually charged this story was. This one blows the first book out of the hemisphere. I enjoyed it oh so much more!!!
After how things ended between Derek and Frankie in episode one, I thought it would be quite a while before they got together again, but thankfully I was wrong. Derek was putting the moves on Frankie and this man knows how to woo a woman. I've read many books where the couple get a little naughty in public restaurants and alley ways, and it never gets old for me. These are just little appetizers before we get to the mind blowing, panty melting inducing, multiple orgasm inducing SEX!!!
Derek can't seem to stick to his plan of drawing out the inevitable. He's so far gone in lust with Frankie, that he plans an incredible night of toe curling sex. But he's got something to resolve with his sister and there's no room for a relationship in his life. Derek believes he and Frankie can only have this one night together and just go back to being business associates. Things don't actually turn out the way I thought they were going to. I was pretty pleased but knew the real reason behind Frankie's reaction.
All I can say is that this one seriously had my temperature rising and I was tempted to go out and find me a man!! I just want to know are there really men out there like Derek?? If there are, then I definitely have not fully lived a satisfying life yet, and I need to add finding my very own Derek to my bucket list!!
This one ends on a HUGE cliffy and I'm hoping the wait isn't too long for episode three.

Boy, that was panty-drenching, breath-quickening, heart-fluttering levels of HAWT HAWT HAWT! I wasn't expecting this much! Unblocked - Episode Two is so much hotter than the first if that was at all possible. Derek has more control than what is good for him or Frankie; unleashing her sexuality in ways she never imagined.
Giving in for just one night, to sate their desires and work each other out of their systems. Silly of them to think that one night is more than enough. But they both have too much to lose that to get involved now; with one step closer at getting his revenge and her a breaths away from proving she has what it takes to take over her fathers business. There is a reason you don't mix business with pleasure...and Frankie is about to find out how messy it really can get.
Unblocked - Episode Two is one long drawn out seduction, leading us to that one explosive night, where there is no thought of tomorrow, focusing on each touch, kiss and caress. Their cat and mouse game was just as fun to read about, adding to the anticipation of it all. And true to form just when you settle into the story and the possibilities of more, you are thrown a curve ball and left wondering what now... There are still unanswered questions, my mind reeling at all possibilities, leaving their future open to anything. One thing I hope gets settled soon is Tamra's role in all this, I can't stand her and need someone to put her and her skanky self in place. I can't wait for the next one!

Derek and Frankie have a connection. They are starting a working relationship but they can't seem to stop thinking about each other. Derek knows that in order to calm his obsession with Frankie, he needs to sleep with her one time. Derek doesn't do relationships. Once that is done then their work relation will be normal. So Derek starts a very slippery slope of seducing Frankie. Frankie doesn't sleep around with her clients. But Derek ignites something within Frankie that she has never felt before. She feels alive and sensual. Derek's dirty mouth and what he does with it.....
This episode is Super Super Sexy. Marni Mann writes sex scenes that are explosive and passionate. The chemistry between Derek and Frankie is palpable and erotic. I love the gifts Derek sends to Frankie. He is a man that knows what he wants and goes after it with fierce determination. But once he has Frankie, will once be enough?
I love how this episode unfolds. It is pure seduction and sex. I love the alternating POVs. You are able to get into each characters thoughts and desires. The secondary characters, Brea and Will, are engaging and humorous. I will say that this episode has a wonderful cliffy- one that I was completely not expecting. It was a delicious little twist that will definitely make episode 3 very interesting.

4.5 scorching STARS
WOW.
I'm legit speechless and VERY turned on...sorry for the TMI, but if you don't need a cold shower after reading this I don't know ...something must be wrong with you.
So if Episode One was foreplay, Unblocked - Episode Two would be the ultimate climax. There is not a lot of plot development, only a little glimpse at possible future conflicts here and there. But that's not a bad thing, because everything I've been waiting for in Episode One came true and then some. Frankie and Derek cross some professional boundaries and give in to some very risqué behaviour.
And the risk is well on the side of the hearts and maybe broken beds. ;D
Complete satisfaction is what you get here. Well, that is until the ending happened. What the hell was that? Drama baby.
But I regress. Where are we at?
Episode Two picks up right where we left off. Frankie and Derek are still at a business event/party and have to deal with some people they would rather ignore. In the end Frankie escapes and heads home.
After that, there is some hefty flirting going on both in person, via mail and in the form of presents. And don't even get me started on the dinner that ended up against an alley wall. HAWT DAMN!
It's pretty much a dance between Frankie and Derek and I don't think I'm spoiling anything when I tell you it leads to the good stuff. *wink wink* It's inevitable, right?
But in the end they are in a mutually beneficial business relationship and some lines can't be uncrossed and could lead to some major trouble down the line. That's why:
Well...I guess it's the logical thing to do, but good luck with that. For now, I guess we should look on the bright side?!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys! I'm rooting for both of you.
You know those novella serials where at some point you get so fed up with the sex and you skip those scenes and power through to collect titbits of plot?
This is NOT one of them. Marni Mann has a way of keeping the carrot out of reach just long enough so you have to hold on and read until it's over. The writing sucks you in and spits you out at the end and then you'll be scrambling to buy the next instalment.
Seriously. While I'm writing this I'm half way done with the next book. No kidding.

And after that I'm in unpublished limbo. Damn. This series is highly addictive.

4.5 titillating sexy stars****
If you are wanting a read that will arouse you, peak your smut tastes and give you a plot that has you wanting more yet intriguing you for what's to come then this is it.
This begins where Part one ends and where Frankie and Derek are starting to merge the lines between professionalism and what they are seeking and wanting out of each other. They have a connection between each other that they are struggling to fight, Frankie needs this job and can't afford to loose what Derek is offering her but they can't keep their eyes off each other and that's where we're at, lets say this instalment picks up a notch in the H.O.T factor I mean make sure you have plenty of panties to spare while reading this cause this one will make you feeling all kinds of things mainly in the sizzling bedroom department.
Derek and Frankie have chemistry with each other that in all honesty they haven't felt with NO-ONE else before. Especially concerning Derek he does flings and one night stands he doesn't have the time for emotions with is job comes time and he needs to put himself and his family first. Frankie has already had her heart broken so likewise can't afford to get hurt I suppose they're both on a fine line with themselves and each other. So they both come up with a plan, one night to get let themselves go with each other, one night of passion and one night to FEEL what they have been wanting up to now. To forget about everyone and everything else that they should be thinking about, or maybe they should be acting the way they should? maybe they're doing what's right FOR THEM?
This is one sexy, titillating and erotic read, there is some serious chemistry between these two characters and we are starting to see Derek's dominating raw ways shine through and in my point of view I would love to see them explore that side of things more. Aside from that I'm seeing the emotions coming through now and I'm wanting to read more of their life and maybe struggles of survival in the future novellas. I am wanting to see them start to live for them not just do what's right and wrong but have something for themselves, I feel a little heartbreak along this journey or maybe just a journey of living coming on.
What I loved
The story was sexy and raw this instalment gave me just what I wanted an erotic very sexy read, not only that but I loved the foreplay and what came around it and more specifically Derek's DIRTY yet sexy mouth, I enjoyed the emails and presents little gestures it all gave me a whole lot of enjoyment and an intriguing end that had me gasping for air.

5 I WANT MORE STARS

This second part picks up right where the cliffy left us in part one. At the beginning of this series, we got most of the players, their roles; the good guys, the swine, the confidants, and what was at stake. We learned of the commanding personality and unique talent of Derek. We met his love interest Frankie; controlled, driven for success, and capable of it.
Each of them has a singular goal that has been driving them, taunting them through most of their careers. These goals are clouded by personal needs causing them to function in a personal tunnel...until they meet each other.
We saw the chemistry was insane...they both were teased and tormented by it and the last time we were with them... it caused a predicament Frankie had worked all her professional career to stay far away from...being accused of using sex to get ahead.
Frankie now has a problem...she is attracted to a client... one who wants to take her, control her, show her all of the pleasures he and only he can give...
Her thinking side of her brain says:
No! this is not going to happen...think of how hard you have worked; you want your father's company to pass to you... you have earned it.
Her Pussy part says:
Hot Diggity Dog...climb that man, suck him dry... say yes to all he wants and more...Wants me bent over... How far???

There is a plot, too... don't forget...and it is woven in and out with a phrase and hint here and there...But this part was all about the SEX....and it accomplished its goal. We saw new parts of each of their personalities come out because of their interaction. We also saw how Frankie surprised Derek and Derek unleashed something in Frankie.
Yes, this has another cliffy... and it is fine... Because I am in great hands. I know the next part will arrive when it should and Derek and Frankie will continue to spar and connect.
In the meantime... I have this little gem... to read and reread...whenever I wish.

Episode 2 is full force HOT! Marni Mann has me panting and completely all in! The want between architect hottie Derek Block and success driven realtor Frankie Jordan reaches its peak and the lust is explosive!

While I am no closer to the crux of his plans or the motives behind his actions, I can definitely say that this author has created quite a bit of an obstacle for Derek! Holy insane hotness! Episode 2 was even hotter and more intriguing than the first.
Derek and Frankie have completely captivated me and left me begging for more. In this installment we see these two fight for what they want and their feelings. Derek has a one track mind and will stop at nothing to seduce Frankie. Frankie is obviously attracted to Derek, but sleeping with her clients is a big no go. She has worked so hard to get to where she is and ruining her reputation over one night isn’t worth it to her.
Despite her reluctance turning down Derek’s many advances is harder than she originally planned. People let me tell you Derek’s advances are very swoon worthy and his dirty talk had me begging Frankie to give in…yes, I was talking to my Kindle…it’s a perfectly normal and natural thing to do.
I loved this installment and I am so excited to see where things are going. This serial is a perfect example of why I can’t resist erotic serials. I highly recommend jumping in if you haven’t yet. It’s highly addictive!

Marni Mann took sexy to a whole new level in this second part of the story. From the moment Frankie and Derek met, the sexual chemistry was palpable but as they both allow themselves to get a real taste of a more physical relationship between them, My God! I thought my IPad was going to set itself on fire.
Derek is hiding something, add that enigma to his ultra Alpha Male personality and this guy is just completely irresistible. He's all man; raw, unfiltered and unstoppable and you can't help but to fall for the spell of Derek Block. I really loved how driven and determined our heroine Frankie is but she also has a sweet and vulnerable side to her, one we can see when she is with her friends but she doesn't allow that part of her to cross over onto her professional life; when it comes to her business, she's focused and the best at what she does. Can Frankie and Derek spend one hot night together to get the itch for each other out of their systems and move on to just working together and nothing else?
This series is definitely in my favorite and super hot, book shelf. I highly recommend it to anybody looking for a well written and highly sensual read. Hurry up and get a taste Mr. Block you won't be disappointed.

This endin was a total killer like I said in my review 4 the first book an I 've a feelin I 'll repeat in every review I m so glad i've the next book wait the endin was great an bad al in 1 page there is still so much I want 2 know an it's building slowly which I m not mindin at al I m dyin 2 know more about Reed there is something missin an I m dyin 2 find out it's making me very curious

I had to write my review just after I finished the book ! (I couldn't post it before because I was super busy this week end:/ ) I was delirious with how this book got me hooked ! And I'm not only thinking about the ending.
I can't thank Terilyn enough for contacting me to review these novellas. What a story would I have missed !
Unblocked episode 2 is hotter than episode 1. Things continue to escalate between Frankie and Derek.
Neither of them are prepare for what's to come and for what they are feeling. The attraction becomes harder and harder to resist
Frankie is still a little worried to cross a line between personal and professional.
While Derek doesn't want to get involved 1) because he has a « one night, one morning rule 2) because he has his revenge with his sister, Hayden, to focus on.
But when it comes to feelings, lust and sex, who are you to resist ? Certainly not me and certainly not Frankie ! How is it even possible to resist Derek and his filthy mouth ?

And now I want to take a minute to talk about that ending. If someone has read the book, I'm all ears to know your thoughts because I have theories and I'm dyin' to exchange ideas. How am I supposed to wait ?
PS : One more thing : If you don't like reading serial, don't be scared to start this one. The author has done a fantastic job to put you back in the story with everything important in the first two chapters. I had everything still in my mind because I practicaly read them back to back but if you don't, don't worry, you'll be back in the game in no time.

PS : One more thing : If you don't like reading serial, don't be scared to start this one. The author has done a fantastic job to put you back in the story with everything important in the first two chapters. I had everything still in my mind because I practicaly read them back to back but if you don't, don't worry, you'll be back in the game in no time.

This episode of Unblocked is so hot it's a miracle my Kindle didn't melt! Derek Block returns in Episode Two and is on fire with his seduction of Frankie Jordan. Marni Mann delivers these two characters full of passion with her brilliant, erotic writing.
Derek Block is a man who knows what he wants even if the object of his desire - Frankie Jordan, in this case - should be totally off limits he goes after her like a fiercely hot predator. The chemistry between Derek and Frankie can be felt on every page as this story progresses in Episode Two. While dealing with the sexual chemistry between he and Frankie, Derek seeks revenge on a man for reasons still unknown to the reader adding an element of mystery and intrigue to the story.

The passionate scenes in this installment prove why Marni Mann is at the top of the erotic writing game. You can feel Frankie's fire. The writing here is fast and flows naturally allowing the story to move forward. There are a lot of questions raised that I'm excited to learn the answers. And, yes, there is a cliffhanger here but it's not a cliffie that makes you angry just more curious. I know it'll be worth the wait to get more Derek and Frankie.

I’ve been reading friends reviews mentioning how sexy this episode is and yes, I absolutely agree! I have to say, this book is mainly sex related but I’m not going to complain because it was of good quality. The sexual tension was high without being frustrating and the acts itself were very sexy.
Derek was not someone I attracted to in previous book. But now, I’m slowly melting for him. The things that came out of his mouth…
That man can talk filthy! I am not a fan or dirty talker because it usually made me laugh, but Derek’s made me flushed.
For Frankie, I felt she was a little less strong than the last time because she’s letting her emotions getting to her. I still like her though.
One thing about this episode is, it focused almost exclusively on Frankie and Derek’s relationship. There wasn’t much of external circumstance. I was hoping to get more of Reed but that didn’t happen.
And the ending… ugh… it ended at the pivotal moment that could change everything - which is really good for the author because now the readers will be anxious for the next episode, but very bad for my patience haha!

Pardon my language, but HOLY F*&KING SH*T!!!! Episode two of Unblocked was SMOKING HOT!!!! Yes, I will say it again.... HOT HOT HOT!!!!! Seriously, my kindle wasn't the only thing that was heating up. My only advice to Marni Mann is that I highly recommend she puts a warning disclaimer on this book that reads: **WARNING- Book will have you combusting. Panty-melting hot!!! Splash of cold water may be needed to cool down.**
Episode two has my complete undivided attention NOW!!! The sexual chemistry of Derek Block and Frankie Jordan was an inferno!! The sex, passion, dirty talks, and seduction...was off the charts!!! Marni Mann has turned up the notch and heat level in this installment. If you wanted a book to devour and re-read again, hands down it would episode two. Though the passion and sex between Frankie and Derek was palpable, the mystery of Derek is another intriguing factor of the story line. Add his enigma and motives, will have you begging for more on what Ms. Mann has in store for this couple. Though the majority of the book dealt with dirty, hot passionate sex, I loved that Ms. Mann was able to weave the raw chemistry that was brewing between Frankie and Derek. She was able to showcase a man breaking all his rules and a woman who is finally awakening her inner sexuality. And of course, Ms. Mann had to end this installment with a cliffy... so yes, I want episode three NOW!!!

Things are getting spicy! I enjoyed this one better than the first one :)
Derek can't keep his mind off Frankie and Frankie can't deny the attraction she feels for him.
He has to have her, taste her once, so he can set his mind back on his revenge plan. But will he be able to stay away from her?
These two really had fun together ;)
I couldn't stop reading this one, I was sucked in.
Derek is hiding something from Frankie and she has no idea. I can't wait to see him in action and to see how he's going to keep a just professional relationship with Frankie.
After seeing many 4 or 5 star reviews for this series, I've asked myself why I didn't love these books, but just liked them.
The fact is that the installments in this series are really short and I don't even have the time to dive into the book, that it is over. I guess it's better for me to wait for all the books to be released so I can read all of them together.
This will be kind of hard because I need to know what happens next. Derek is hiding some secrets and I'm pretty positive that things in the next installments will explode like a bomb.
He is still a mystery to me and I still have to understand how I feel about him. Frankie is going to give him some troubles and I can't wait to read about it!
That ending! Frankie surprised me actually and her behavior at the end made me like her a lot more.
This story is warming up and I really like the turn that things took.

HOLY FREAKING CRAP!!! I need a moment to fan myself...
This book was H.O.T. Never mind, this was sizzling, bring your temperature up, drench your panties, hot! Heck I think my mouth even dropped a few times. The sex was scorching and ridiculously detailed. It was so vivid it had my dirty mind working overtime! I thought I've read my share of dirty talking alphas, but this one takes the cake! Looks like I have to make some room in my heart for Derek Block.
Part two continues from part one with Derek, a real estate developer, who has his sights set on his real estate agent Frankie and he'll do anything to have her. Gosh he was just yum yum! He wines and dines Frankie and let me tell you the way he does it Frankie cannot resist him. She finds herself powerless around him, willing to do anything he commands. Although I liked part one, I loved this one as it put a whole new meaning to intense and erotic.
Marni Mann is a new author for me and I plan to devour every book in this series. The writing is impeccable and I literally could not put this down. There is a huge cliffy, but the sex and amazing writing makes up for it. If the rest of this series is gonna be this hot then I need to head to Victoria Secret and get some new panties pronto!
I dare you to read this book you won't regret it!

4.25 Steamier and Steamier Stars!
Unblocked (Episode Two) picks up right on the heels of Episode One. After being caught at the party in a not-so-professional way with Derek Block, Frankie Jordan is determined to get the contract for Timber Towers ETHICALLY. She struggles with her insane attraction to this enigma of a man but her father's company reputation is in the forefront. She's determined to prove her place in the real estate world without sleeping her way to the top like Julia. Unfortunately, Derek Block is unlike any high-end client she's had. He's raw, masculine, gritty...and the king of dirty talkers! He has ZERO issue laying it out there exactly what he wants...in the office AND the bedroom.
Episode Two definitely got me more invested in the story. We still are pretty left in the dark as to who Derek Block truly is and what his motivations are deep down. He has quirks about him that I find a little off-putting but I'm hopeful as we read further, we readers will gain insight as to why he has issues with Derek's loyalty to his sister is another conundrum for me. Is there a history of something there or just family loyalty? And his previous relationship gone sour- is this part of his motivations for the way he acts towards Frankie or the boundary issues he has?
So obviously Frankie and Derek falter on their "no sex with clients" rule. Otherwise we wouldn't have episodes 2-5. The slow build, controlled nature of Derek has me waiting with baited breath for the day he falls to his knees...cuz we all know this man BETTER fall to his knees for all the teasing he does to Frankie. #LadyBlueBalls
This was what Derek did to me: he got me to beg, even when begging was so out of character; he made me want more of him, even when I didn’t think my body could take it. He freed me, from the inside out.
There's still a lot of story left here to unfold. Now that the temperature is reaching a scorching level, I must cut this short and move on to Episode Three. Catch ya on the flip side!

Frankie is trying to maintain a professional relationship with Derek, but at every turn he is telling her the incredibly hot and arousing things he plans to do to her.

WOW…Marni Mann really turns up the heat in this instalment. Episode Two continues from Episode One and after that kiss both Derek and Frankie know that it won’t be enough.
Frankie is determined not to give in to temptation, she has worked hard to get where she is in the real estate world and does not want to brandish that label of sleeping with people to get contracts. Her father’s reputation and acceptance means so much to her and despite her attraction to Derek she feels that she cannot let it go down that road, no matter how enticing.
As soon as Derek shared that kiss with Frankie, he knew it would never be enough. He never mixes business with pleasure so why does he feel this way toward Frankie? Derek Block gets what Derek Block wants and he has decided he wants Frankie, even if just for one night to f**k her out of his system, but in all honesty, is one night going to be enough and that is even if Frankie agrees.
Derek, he is duuuurrrtttyyy, he talks durty!! He is alpha, he is demanding, he is hot as sin and f**ks like a stallion. The sexual chemistry in this instalment was seriously off the charts, Marni Mann really delivered the tension, the chemistry, it was palpable and it was seriously hot!!
The plot is really starting to come together too, Derek is still trying to bring down Randy with his sister and it seems that most of the characters are connected in some way or another. It really is a house of cards that I am sure will come tumbling down as more and more layers are removed and explored.
You not only have the tension and steam of Derek and Frankie but also the suspense of the plot, making this a really exciting read. I cannot wait for Episode Three, I need it NOW!! Timber Towers is a five book serial, Episode One is live, Episode Two releases on 7th April with subsequent releases approximately six weeks apart.

Derek, he is duuuurrrtttyyy, he talks durty!! He is alpha, he is demanding, he is hot as sin and f**ks like a stallion. The sexual chemistry in this instalment was seriously off the charts, Marni Mann really delivered the tension, the chemistry, it was palpable and it was seriously hot!!
The plot is really starting to come together too, Derek is still trying to bring down Randy with his sister and it seems that most of the characters are connected in some way or another. It really is a house of cards that I am sure will come tumbling down as more and more layers are removed and explored.

You not only have the tension and steam of Derek and Frankie but also the suspense of the plot, making this a really exciting read. I cannot wait for Episode Three, I need it NOW!! Timber Towers is a five book serial, Episode One is live, Episode Two releases on 7th April with subsequent releases approximately six weeks apart.

4.5 "Wet Pink Ivory" Stars! Well, I now have confirmation, there is definitely a new Dom in town and he is not only ruggedly handsome, and knows just how to worship a lady right, but he is also one of the most hottest dirty talkers to boot! Wow, this book was steamy! Moreover, while the additional twist at the end certainly adds an element of suspense to this romance, I have no doubt that the intensity of the heat level of this tantalizing, erotic serial is about to reach summer heat wave proportions.
Episode 2 picks up where 1 leaves off. Notwithstanding that both Frankie and Derek have a strict no fraternization with co-workers policy, the contract solidifying their professional relationship has yet to be inked up, and yet both are already fighting desperately to fend off their undeniable chemistry. Frankie, of course, being reluctant to let history repeat itself, and therefore believing a relationship unworkable, and Derek, for what undoubtedly is most likely a strikingly similar motivation, hoping to allow their attraction to "develop" to the right level of desire and anticipation before capitulating to the one perfect night and morning, which is the only thing he will allow himself to share with Frankie. Of course, Derek has yet to provide full disclosure on his one night/morning rule to Frankie.
However, when a brief glimpse of their powerful attraction to one another calls into question exactly where this is all leading; Frankie will surprise and stun Derek with her completely unexpected reaction. Can a powerhouse partnership in business remain successful if its also joined in the bedroom? Just who will remain in control when the business and erotic desires of these two powerful business people collide?
I can't wait to read, Unblocked--Episode Three, to see how the union between Boston's top real estate agent, Frankie Jordan, and super star developer Derek Block continues to heat up in the next installment of the Timber Towers series!

Frankie knows that she should keep her relationship with Derek simply business, but after one heated moment at the gala she can’t forget the way he made her feel. She’s never seen the intensity and heat she gets from him when his eyes are on her. It’s like he’s devouring her and it’s a feeling she’s finding impossible to resist.
I didn’t think this could get any hotter but I was wrong, oh so wrong. The sexual chemistry between these two reached new levels as Derek makes his demands known and Frankie begins to give in. There is a sexual beast lurking within her and Derek seems to be the one drawing it out.
Marni Mann delivered with episode two! I was so focused on the developing story between these two characters that I let the rest of the actual story slip from my mind. Then BAM. When I least expect it she draws you back into the story/plot and it feels like it came out of nowhere. And what wowed me the most about that whole deal... is that it brought the connection to Frankie full circle. I was, in that moment, just as shocked. Rocked just as hard. It was a blindside hit.
In serial series, you have to have not only a full story that is going to grab the reader’s attention, but in each installment you have to provide for a mini story that offers some small conclusion, Marni Mann is doing a fantastic job in doing this. With each installment you get a hint at the bigger picture, a progression to the ending but at the same time you get these little moments that capture your attention and layer the story so you have much more depth than you would have expected.
Sexual tension and chemistry in books can’t be faked. You can’t just toss two good looking characters together and have the sparks fly. The author needs to show you how these characters affect one another, how they react, how they respond. Not just tell you about it. The pages are filled with moments where you’re doing nothing but feeling the lust pouring off of these two.
This is how you write a serial series. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next episode!
