The only thing that she is missing is the perfect husband. She failed at love her first time around, but she vowed that her next marriage would be her last. But who said that she would even have a choice in the matter? Love finally comes her way, and Strawberry is in love like never before. But something isn't right. It seems as though the closer and closer she gets to happily-ever after, the more someone seems to be trying to get her attention. Does someone know her secret? Strawberry learns the hard way that sometimes love is patient. And sometimes love decides to be kind. But sometimes love is just plain ole' stupid and other times it's blind. But the love that Strawberry feels is real; but can her new husband say the same? Or is there already someone that he loves more....that also has his last name? Just because it can't be seen, doesn't mean it can't be heard. Have you ever seen what happens, when you fail to keep your word? To love and honor or to deceive and betray? Ok I must say I'm a fan I have been a fan and will continue to be a fan. When I saw you had a new story I went quick fast in a hurry to kindle to download and once I started reading I couldn't put it down. The ending kind of messed me up so please hurry with part two!
I started this book late yesterday and I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to finish it. This book grabbed me right from the start. A lonely divorcee named Tiffany (nickname: Strawberry) searches for love in all the wrong places. One day she becomes a damsel in distress and a black knight (Tobias) comes to her rescue. He's everything she ever wanted and desired. He seems to be the perfect man ... but is he? Soon enough she discovers he's more than she ever dreamed of or wanted -- he's a recurring nightmare!
Ladies ... be careful what you ask for ... you just might get it!!!
The book started out as an interesting read. About half way it went all the way left. No meaning, no substance and very elementary. I found myself continuing to read it because I couldn't wait for it to be over. This book was picked for my October bookclub meeting so therefore I will read the part 2 finale. I am hoping that it makes up for what was lost in part 1.
Once again, BM has created characters & situations that held me captive & anxious. It seems Tiffany's problems became worse with each page. I enjoyed reading the 1st part of this twisted tale & definitely ready to see what direction this story goes!
What the What!!!! Okay What just happen??? Great Book now on to book # 2 so I can find out What's Really going on smh Happy Saturday and Happy reading everyone
I enjoyed reading this story. It takes you on a roller coaster ride from beginning to end. The cover captures your attention and is different. The characters are well defined and easy to follow while scenes are brightly described and easy to get into. Just when you thought it would go one way, it goes another. The story was smooth and well developed and you are able read this story with ease.
This is a great quick read if you are seeking a different read. Good work from the author and I look forward to more of her work.
This was a decent read. There were a few errors that didn't take away from the series but the bugged me nonetheless. I also felt like this was a book I read by her before. The story seemed similar to another book by her.
Let me start off with the bad things. The writing was horrible. I mean, I’m someone who overlooks a few typos, but this book did NOT want me to. The writing itself, it was so bad, I think I forgot a little English myself. Maybe, I don’t know this type of English. Maybe it’s really good but I don’t know it. (After all, my first language isn’t English. It’s possible.) But, NO!! I really doubt that that’s it.
The characters? I hated the heroine. She was childish, stupid, and just not a good person. Not what I want my lead characters to be. I mean, sure, she was a really strong person and all that, but more than that, she was juvenile and selfish. Yes, I know that she was helping out her sisters and mom with money problems, but I don’t think that helping out someone with money when you have loads of it and don’t miss it if it’s gone makes you generous. Also, who accuses someone wrongly of RAPE? Bad people, that’s who. People who don’t care about others. I hated her at that time and she never won me back again at all. It’s because of people like this that real rape victims are going through tough times. I know that she felt horrible about it and never really moved on from it. But what she should’ve done was come clean. I know that that would’ve been too hard for her and the man wrongly accused had killed himself already, so she should’ve done other things. Like absolve herself by doing something good or something. I hate people who regret something they’ve done but don’t do anything about it. If you want something (like absolution) do something to get it. Not mope around!!
Anyway, these are the horrible things about this book.
Good things..
The plot was something else. Despite its bad writing, I couldn’t put this book down. I always, I mean ALWAYS, guess the twists or suspenses and I’m right most of the times. But this one, I never could guess what was going on and who was what and not in a bad way. I couldn’t even start to guess the suspenses. The author is really good at writing a mystery.
Seriously, any rating I give it would feel wrong. Hence, no stars.
Since I have to go through the second book to know the whole story (Yes, it’s a mother of all cliffhangers), I guess I’m reading the second book.
Nothing is as it seems in this book...its so unpredictable!! There were a few errors in the story but overall this book had me unable to put it down until I finished.
SPOILER ALERTS!!!!! I really don't like stories that have "mature, successful, intelligent" adults make such elementary mistakes. The heroine makes millions yet fails to protect it? In 2016, moves in a man she's on known for months without conducting any type of check on him then rushes to marry him. Signs documents without even glancing or reading them. Has bizarre things happening without putting two and two together. SMHO. This story could have been better if the author took more time to develop it rather than trying so hard to get through the twisted plot. Having said all that I will recommend this book to those who do enjoy drama as the twists make the bumps worth the ride.
FOR STRAWBERRY TO BE SO SMART SHE LET HER FEELINGS OF BEEN WANTED OVERPOWER HER COMMON SENSE .. THE STUNT RAY PULLED AT THE VERY BEGINNING WASN'T RIGHT BUT HE CAME THRU AS AN ALRIGHT GUY BEFORE THE BOOK ENDED.... TOBIAS HAVE MORE SECRETS THAN VICTORIA NOW WHAT I'M WAITING FOR IN PART 2 IS BRIAN TIES TO ALL THE DRAMA ....
I gave this book a 5 star rating simply because I pride myself on figuring out the plot before the author is done detailing the story, I just could not do this with The Hidden Wife. B.M. Hardin did a wonderful job crafting this book. First time reading a book penned by her but definitely not the last.
"The Hidden Wife" is my first read by B.M. Hardin and I must say, I love her style. Although there were a few errors...The storyline was captivating, comedic, unpredictable and well written! Once I started in, I finished in a day so needless to say...I'M HYPED TO READ PART 2!
Some things shouldn't need to hit you over the head before you get it. The story drew me in but was a bit predictable. The intrigue is enough to have me continue to discover the outcome.
This book was beyond stupid! It was so stupid it made no sense! It surprising because I have read several of this author's book that were crazy good but this one was just stupid and unbelievable.
Wow! Love truly is blind! I enjoyed this book and all of the suspense. Tobias sure is one crazy and conniving mofo! Can't wait to see what happens next.
pretty good. not at all what I expected. gave me ideas of my own storylines. some parts were a little far fetched and unbelievable. a chainsaw? really? lol. anyway on to part 2
lost for words is all I can say this book took me no time to read it captured my attention and I could not put this book down. I really thought tobias was the man for her. then he started acting different. he was showing signs of him cheating and just doing all kind of crazy things while he knew she was pregnant, but at the end of the book when Fran can with the chain saw that changed everything his Real wife is crazy cant wait to read part 2. I never expected him to be married I just thought he was a cheater
WOW!!! I finished this in less than 1/2 a day and can't wait to see what happens next!
Tiffany is so desperate to want a man that she ignores the signals that are right in front of her face. I mean even the pastor who gave her premarital counsel g warned her that Tobias's answers seemed "rehearsed!" If that wasn't enough to make me want to WAIT to marry a man I don't know what will.
BM Hardin had me laughing and ready to fight reading this story but I am ready to see what happens with Tiffany, Tobias and now Fran!! LAWD!! I can't!!
3.5 stars! I don't think this was supposed to be a comedy but I laughed the whole time. Ain't. No. Damn. WAY!!! Did she really sign some papers and didn't read them because she was eating chicken?! Did she really combine bank accounts with a dude and let ALL of her primary money go into it?? Baby that's not Karma coming for you... that's Lucifer sitting right on your couch watching you make a mess! And now I'm about to get book two because this was a cliffhanger and I need to see what Strawberry does next!
This book had too many plot holes and it was entirely unrealistic. This should have been developed better so readers aren’t able to follow so easily. Tiffany was entirely too naive and the moment Tobias came into her life, I knew what was going to happen. I am big on grammar and errors. Sadly, I’ve ignored them in previous novels but I couldn’t this time around. It took me a little longer to get into this book. I hate starting a book without finishing it and unfortunately, that was the only reason I got through it.
Secrets a lies, what you really know about the man you give you heart too?
Tiffany was lonely and looking for someone the fill the void in her life. She met Tobias and thought she have the man of her dreams. Tiffany starts to realize things are not what they seem a little to late. Lies and deception are revealed. Tobias shows is true colors. Will he continued with the plan or will he have a change of heart. This book had on pins and needles wait to see what happens next.
Wow, this is some book! Yes, there are errors but none that can’t be translated correctly. Tobias is not his real name. Her name is Tiffany but she goes by Strawberry. He had a son that died and didn’t want children but now Tiffany is pregnant and it’s a boy. But Tobias has a wife that’s not Tiffany…and it sounds like he has multiple wives because he asked Tiffany which one she was talking about. What a tangled web B.M. Hardin spun that we readers will have to read on for it to be untangled! Happily going to book #2.
I rate this book a 13 because it is exciting. I woke up from my sleep to finish it.This women was looking for her a good man.She thought that she found one. Then things begin to happen. If you want something exciting and full of suspense, read thos book.Im getting ready to read part 2.
This was a short read, I finished the book in 2 hours. It was full of drama, twist and turns. Shit was happening at every turn of the page. I was like, oh lord not again. it was one thing right after the next. Now I have to read the next book in the series. This book ends with a serious cliffhanger and a chainsaw.
This was a fast-paced thrill ride I couldn’t put down! Finished it in one sitting. The story had just the right amount of intrigue and spice, keeping me hooked from start to finish. Fun, engaging, and perfect for a quick escape.A new-to-me author, and I’m looking forward to reading the next book.
I loved this book. B.M did it again. It holds a lot of mystery. I must say I could picture everything happening in my mind. Poor Tiffany has been through a lot. I can't wait to read part to to see how the story turns out.
