EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS CAN BE SO DISORGANIZED, FOOLISH, AND SENSELESS

I enjoyed this quick read that is packed full of emotions, from haunting secrets, desires, passion, wants, needs, and emotional confusion. Jake grew up watching his parents and their marriage crumb and went for years avoiding a relationship. But in his quest to prevent what happened to his parents happen to him, he has been cheating himself out of a chance for happiness and love. Chloe only has her brother, and when he decides to marry, she feels abandoned. Relationships have been meaningless and what starts out as an account on an online dating site, leads to a marriage proposal and acceptance, to a stranger.

The plot has two people who marry without any courting, and until she arrives, they had never met in person and marrying when she arrives in Canada. But marriage needs more, and theirs is more like a business arrangement, where he is the boss, and she is expected to comply or face punishment. These two basically get along, have a good sexual chemistry, but they have left out some very important words and open, honest expression of feelings and emotions. Doubt, fear, pity, confusion and then before you know it, there are major problems, but can they be solved before it is too late.

This book was a quick read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The storyline does contain domestic discipline so do be prepared for that. Other than that, it was a heartwarming story of two lonely people getting together via the internet to meet, marry and start a life together.
Of course, as with any marriage, there were ups and downs as well as secrets between the two of them about who they truly were deep inside. As the story develops and these walls come down, it is truly a romantic story.
My only complaint is that I felt it ended too soon. That there should have been at least one more chapter or two to complete the story.

Gold read

Good story line. Jake is scarred from listening to his parents fights.the nasty things they said to hurt one another hurt him too. He needs to stay calm, not lash out.Chloe has a secret . she is ashamed of and doesn't feel she has any one to talk to. This secret causes her to feel unworthy. Causes her to run . These two have much to work out. This is a nice story about loving discipline and how not communicating can cause to feel ashamed. True feelings can't stay hidden.
