I get paid to work that cocky jock’s body.

I landed my dream job working as a physical therapist for a professional football team just as my boss decided to go ahead and give birth. When she left, I was assigned the biggest challenge of my life: Owen Rack.

Owen is the rookie running back, and he’s one cocky a**hole. Just because he won a bunch of awards in college doesn’t make him the best thing ever. And yet I’m stuck working on his body every morning and every night while he whispers dirty things in my ear.

We work together, which means we can’t get involved. But try telling Owen that. He takes what he wants, and for some reason, he wants me.

Worse than that, Owen has a dark past. As soon as I give in to his gorgeous smile, I’m suddenly drowning in his secrets.

I can’t risk my dream job. I won’t risk my safety. But Owen’s cocky grin is driving me insane, and I know I’m going to say yes.

Go Hard is action-packed, incredibly steamy, and features some dirty language. It’s only recommended for audiences 18+.

Go Hard is a standalone, full-length novel. No cliffhanger. Guaranteed HEA.

I can't get enough of B.B stories. I'm a football fan and love reading these stories. Owen is a cocky bad boy and an upcoming running back and Taylor is assigned to be his physical therapist. Owen wants Taylor and won't take no for an answer. The connection is there and Taylor finally gives in and all is good until Taylor over hears something she can't forget. Can Owen convince Taylor to give him a chance? Love this story and all of B.B stories and can't wait to read the next one

Who doesn't love a sports romance??? Throw in a little intrigue with the mafia, and the story practically writes itself. Honestly, I think this story is well written, and B.B. Hamel writes innocent characters that you come to love along with them falling for the bad boy. I think most people well enjoy this story, and I recommend it to anyone who's a fan of sport romance stories.

I did receive an ARC from the author for an honest review of this story.

I started this book weeks ago it was a real struggle to finish. The story was going pretty good until the whole mob angle came about. Um what? It just didn't fit and made for an awkward read. And the sex scenes simply made my eyes roll each time. Must she beg for the cock every time? And of course Taylor is Owen's dirty little slut/whore each time also. Im so over the heroine having anal for the first time and it's mind blowing!!
Bottom line I thought the book would've been just fine without the mafia storyline it wasn't needed. It was hotter when they weren't having sex.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Another fun beach read by BB. The cocky jock with a secret trope is familiar, but she's made the characters interesting enough that I don't feel like I've just reread the same book with different character names. And I liked that there was a lot of build-up between Owen and Taylor before they slept together. I always enjoy reading BB's books and can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Sucked into the mafia through his past he wants nothing to do with it since he's met Taylor. Any way he can get Taylor to give him what he wants he's willing to do it. But will he get her fired? Will she keep pushing him away?

Sweet but predictable sports romance between rookie player and apprentice physical therapist who gets a lucky break

Go Hard was a relatively sweet but predictable sports romance between rookie player and apprentice who gets a lucky break. It’s not a typically sweet romance from the point of view that there is a bit of swearing and dirty talking explicit sexual content but in comparison to previous sports romances by this author and other books in this genre, this seemed slightly more tame, which isn’t a bad thing.

Told as always by this author from dual perspectives, the two main characters, Owen and Taylor, had a good connection and chemistry, with their characters showing some development as the book evolved. I especially liked Owen because he wasn’t as crude nor typical in his behaviour as a lot of football stars in sports romances, only really during the sexual scenes and an odd comment which I thought worked well in helping the reader empathise and connect to his character. Taylor was a fairly simple and likeable character who didn’t necessarily have a lot to her but she had a good level of maturity to her that can sometimes be lacking in female leads, even if she was torn with her feelings as they developed for Owen. Personally, the thing I loved most about this couple and their whole relationship was there was a maturity to it from both sides. There was no messing about, no jealousy antics, nothing but two people falling for each other as they grew closer.

The book was well written with a simple and easy flow with chapters alternating between the two characters. However, one thing I have to say is I was disappointed with the plot a little bit. Being such a fan and having read so many books by this author, I felt like the storyline was a bit of a repeat from the author’s previous sports romance books with mixing the sports romance theme with the mafia theme; I felt like I had already read the plot and knew exactly what the ending would be. It’s not bad but it just wasn’t a wow and surprising plot. There is a sweet epilogue giving a HEA to round off this standalone read.

Overall, it was a good read and I would recommend it.

*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

Sports romance with a twist!!!

~~~I received an ARC of Go Hard by B. B. Hamel for an honest review!~~~
This is the fourteenth book of B.B. Hamel's that I have received as an ARC and reviewed, and she never disappoints!!! Although I have to say that though I enjoyed this story, there were some things that left me wondering and I'd say it wasn't my absolute favorite of her books.
Taylor graduated college and got her first job as a physical therapist for the Philadelphia Eagles. When her boss's baby was born early she got a promotion and was assigned to one player on the team, Owen Rack. Owen is the cocky, rookie running back. Taylor attempts to keep him at arm's length but Owen won't take no for an answer.
Owen Rack first draft pick and a college Running Back star. Owen has no intention of making this easy on Taylor, no he's going to make it hard as hello (without the "o") because he always gets what he wants and he will have Taylor no matter how hard she pretends she can resist. He was in deep with his secret problems. He had thought he didn’t have other choices. Full of regrets and despair he was trapped in a situation with no way out. Taylor made him feel something more. He should has held the pain and stress inside and protect her. He was the kind of man who took care of his own problems and now with Taylor, once he made his mind he was not backing down, and never would, not ever again.
Owen and Taylor begin to spend a lot of time together training and getting to know each other but Taylor can see there's something Owen is holding back on and her concern for him finally breaks him and he begins to feel safe and opens up to Taylor. Taylor now knows Owen's big secret and he wants her help in deciding what he should do.
Can Taylor get Owen's knee healed in time to safe his career? Will Owen break at the hands of his past secret or will Taylor be able to help him through it?
The sex scenes were well done, thoroughly explained so you felt you were there watching them go. If mature scenes are not your thing, then don't read any of Ms Hamel’s books!!! I will recommend this book to anyone who loves a good sexually charged romance with an added twist of danger, and I look forward to the next book that B.B. Hamel writes!!!
Taylor would never forget the morning her life changed; she was being assigned a player, Owen Rack. Owen is supposed to be the future of the team; he is the kind of guy she has always stayed away from, but now she would be working with him up close and personal. Taylor didn’t know what to expect, but is excited to find out. Owen is a Texas boy, with a good college career. His parents died when he was young and his grandmother raised him and helped him become the man he is. Owen had gone to high school, joined a football team and never looked back. Owen is angry because his life is harder than it has to be and he wants to take that anger out on someone; football was the right place for that. In his rookie year, Owen is the starting running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, but has set-backs with a troublesome knee and the reappearance in his life of an old adversary who will not leave him alone. Because of one stupid decision, Owen is trapped in a never-ending loop. As Taylor and Owen grow closer and become more intimate, Owen confesses his darkest secrets; Taylor doesn’t like the choices Owen has made in the past, but he is not a bad person – he is a good person in a bad situation, one it is time to remedy and they will do it together. This was another exceptional and intriguing story from the writer that had lots of twists and turns to keep it interesting, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable read. It is certainly a book I would recommend. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Taylor Jones has landed the best job right out of college with professional sporting team as physical therapist. Taylor didn't expect her job to be promote due to her boss going into labor. Taylor also didn't expect Owen Rack to push all the right buttons either. Owen Rack is an all around bad boy with attitude and much skill on the football field as running back. Owen can always get what he wants no matter what but he's hiding a secret that could potentially ruin everything. He plays by his own rules both on and off the field. He doesn't let it stop him being the best he can be. Will Owen get what he wants? Can Taylor learn to bend the rules? Or will Owen's secrets turn Taylor against him? Your answers await you in Go Hard.
This book is part of the A Bad Boy Sports Romance Series. It's title aptly fits the series. I love the story and characters. I found it to be an ironic story which could definitely play out in the real world. Hamel's writing is top notch and pacing ranks up pretty high as well. Looking forward to my next adventure from Hamel.
Wow!!! After getting drafted into the NFL right out of college Owen needs to get into the swing of living in Philly and playing for the Eagles. Owen is a back up player but right out of college that is bound to happen and he is happy where he is and he going to get the help his knees need and then he will be at full strength. Playing professional football takes a toll on the players body so extra work is needed when you play at Own's level. His therapist though..Wow she is amazing and can work wonders on his knees. He wants to get to know her more but she is being very professional about her job until one night he is able to get her alone and relaxed. Taylor wants nothing but for this job to work out and that means no matter what she needs to keep Owen Rack at a distance and keep their relationship strictly work. That is until he gets her alone.. Can Taylor make it a one time thing.. A mistake.. Or will things get out of hand?? And this secret Owen's carrying around will he ever open up about it before it's too late???
I absolutely can't get enough of this author. I am like a fat kid with cake every time I see a new one coming out... Gimme Gimme Gimme. This book was no different. Our H is Owen and our h is Taylor.
Taylor is a physical therapist working under her boss' wing. When her boss goes into labor Taylor is offered a chance to stay on board and work with one player, Owen Rack. Taylor doesn't like Owen at first but their chemistry keeps pulling them together.
Owen Rack is the first round draft pick for the Philadelphia Eagles. He is cocky and has a filthy mouth. He is attracted to Taylor but she keeps pushing him away because her job is on the line. Owen also has some dark secrets that are following him. He wants to shield Taylor from them but soon she is brought into them.
This author can write anything and I love it. Mafie, Stepbrother, Sports, Anything. This book had plenty of chemistry between Taylor and Owen and just enough intrigue with the Mafia's involvement to keep me glued to my kindle. I can't wait to see what she writes next.
This time we get to read about a cocky womaniser football player named Owen who we don't get to see being a ladies man since he falls hard for Taylor the moment he sets eyes on her.
And the taunting and sex innuendos begin, he is on a mission to have her and even though she is fighting hard, there's no fighting this Alpha male, he gets what he wants, when he wants it!
The plot has some amazing twists and just enough tension to keep us holding our breath, it's a thrilling read.
The sex scenes, were just the perfect combination of sexy, rough and dominance, I couldn't get enough of this two!
Taylor is a strong character and she fights him until the surrender is inevitable, we don't blame you girl!
A chance, just a chance and now she has it. Taylor Jones, a sports medicine therapist hopes to do well in her job but now her boss has left on maternity leave, they have given her the chance and promoted her to look after him.... Owen Rack. Top Running Back. She can't believe it. He is one of the sexiest, hot, filthy mouth guys she has ever met AND he wants her...oh boy.
Owen Rack is fit, healthy and oversexed BUT he has to be careful of his health at all times, especially looking after his knees. Now he has Taylor Jones looking after him ......oh yes
A story of lies, danger, secret hot tub meetings and so many secrets you wouldn't even think of, being revealed. Things going on with Owen that really surprises Taylor and she has to decide to stay or go.
A fast paced, sexy story that will draw you in. Love it.
Taylor landed her dream job working as a physical therapist for a professional football team just as her boss went in to labor. Taylor is promoted and assigned the team's best player, Owen Rack. Owen is the cocky, rookie running back. Taylor attempts to keep him at arm's length but Owen won't take no for an answer. Owen can tell Taylor wants him, but knows she is concerned about her position.
*explicit content*
Taylor does not want to like Owen, but the more she understands him, the more she is attracted to him. Owen is continually pushing her boundaries, wanting more, wanting all of her. Taylor is frightened when more of Owen's dark secrets are reveled. Owen must decide the path of his future, rather than the short term thinking he is used to.
This is a interesting and entertaining sport romance to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The story covers Taylor Jones who is a trained physical therapist and she has been asked to work with only one client, that client being Owen Rack and he happens to be a cocky arrogant football player for the Philadelphia Eagles. What you will find in this story is drama, suspense, intrigue, a dominate alpha male, football action, a woman trying to remain professional, mafia, sexual attractions, extortion, secrets, danger, threaten, breaking free, a proposal, emotional feelings and some good hot erotic scenes. The story-line is well thought out and written. The portrayal of the characters personalities are realistic with the feeling of desires,anger, fears and needs. I would recommend this book to people that like to read a interesting bad boy sport romance story with a happy ending.
Good sports/mafia romance
This was a good story about a footballer who was dealing with mafia issues and his personal trainer. The characters are well developed. I felt like this story could of been longer. (Bonus story included but not part of this review).
Overview. Taylor (girl) just graduated from her sorts trainer college program and was an intern for the Philadelphia Eagles. Her boss goes on maturity leave early and is asked to step up and work one on one with the up and coming running back Owen Rack. Owen had a hard life being raised by his grandma. They didn't have a lot of money, so he got involved with the mafia. But now that he is in the NFL he wants them to leave him alone. It isn't until he is involved with Taylor that he takes a stand. Will the mafia let him out or will they go after Taylor? Will the two find love?
I received this book free as an ARC for my honest review.
Taylor Jones is a physical therapist just graduated from college who lands a job in the Sports Department of the Philadelphia Eagles. Owen Rack is a first round draft pick as a running back for the Philadelphia Eagles. Taylor is an apprentice who is following around another PT Lucy Stang. Lucy went into early labour and Taylor is assigned one player who is Owen. Owen is drawn to her from the start, they dance around a bit due to the risk of Taylor’s job, and it didn’t take them long to cross the line. When Owen starts college he goes to the mob for a loan to help him through college, but once involved with the mob you are owned by them. They have to endure professional problems as well as the personnel problems Owen has, will they work together through the problems or will Taylor bail?
Another sexy romp from BB Hamel.
The setting this time is an American Football team. Owen, our hero, is the rookie running back, and Taylor, the girl he's after, is a physical therapist.
I don't know much about the game (I'm in UK and a soccer fan!) but the game and training scenes seemed authentic - lots of hard work and excitement.
Owen wants Taylor, she wants to keep her dream job and tries to resist him. Both characters are believable with good back stories that explain why they act as they do.
There is minimal violence in the story based around Owen and the Mob. Bad decisions made in his youth are still affecting him.
Will Owen break away from the mob?
Will Taylor succumb to his charms?
You'll have to read the book to find out - no plot spoilers from me!
I received an ARC from the author and promised an honest review.
Owen is an up and coming football star. He knows he has what it takes. He's fun, flirty, and oh so cocky. Taylor she is fresh out of college and she has scored a great job as a physical therapist for a prestigious football team. By fate she is chosen to help Owen and help take care of his body. However things get out of hand and don't always go to plan.
I liked this story. Two young people different but have a common bond have such a great chemistry together. These two were flirty and enjoyable. Their conversations are cute and funny. The story also has a twist because Owen is hiding a dirty secret and if exposed could cause major problems for him. All in all an amazing story writing by a talented author. Her stories are never boring!
Taylor is the physical therapist assigned to work exclusively with rookie running back Owen in this newest sports romance from B.B. Hamel. He wants her, as his filthy mouth informs her continuously. She wants him too but concern for her job makes her hesitate. When she finally goes all in, she discovers a dark secret that Owen has been keeping, one that could jeopardize both their careers and possibly even their lives.
I sort of enjoyed this book but there is nothing new here. I feel as if I have read this story numerous times and only the names change. The book isn't bad but the story didn't touch me emotionally and I felt no connection to the characters. For me, this book was just an okay read.
B. B. Hamel is an author who knows how to tap into our love (and lust!) for all things forbidden, especially things with six-packs and egos the size of the Rock of Gibraltar! Owen is the rising star with the Philadelphia Eagles and Taylor is his sports therapist whose job hangs on making sure Owen stays in top physical shape. Naturally, Owen is only interested in her shape, and the deliciously dirty moments take off from there!
I've come (no pun intended) to thoroughly enjoy the stories by this author to the point that if my Kindle were human, she'd be wagging her finger at me saying I should be ashamed. Four Stars on the story, but Three Stars because of too much "moaning" in one particular chapter that took me out of the moment for a bit. (I counted 11) Other than that, good stuff!
Another great read from B.B. Hamel! A rookie running back, cocky and sure of himself meets a fresh out of college physical therapist when he signs with the Eagles. What should have been him being behind the already in place running back ends up with him starting after an accident at practice leaves the starter out. Owen is the running back Taylor is assigned to work with exclusively. While their relationship heats up Taylor knows he is keeping things from her, but never thought it had to do with the mob. When Owen comes clean she helps him realize he needs to get out from under the mob. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This story is about Own and Taylor. Owen is an upcoming running back, and Taylor is assigned to be his physical therapist. Despite Taylor hating Own on sight, these two have an intense and hot chemistry together. Add mafia involvement, and this book is full of drama, suspense, sexual chemistry, cocky bad boy, and love. With both of their careers on the line, will they be able to stay together? You really need to read this story for yourself.
I love all of this authors work, and this one was certainly no different. As always I recommend her work, and wait in anticipation for the next amazing story.
I really loved Go Hard ,the latest bad boy sport romance from one of my favorite authors BB Hamel . She really has a way to bring two complete opposites together and makes a true full of passion and captivating, smoking hot story . The story line was so incredible and got me totally hooked but then I always am with BB's books . True to form there was plenty of hot and steamy sex going on and the characters Taylor & Owen played there parts perfectly. In truth ; I wished this book had gone on and on because I didn`t want it to end. Completely melted by this amazing can't-put-it-down book .This is a must read !!
Sports/Mafia Romance, With a repetitive Knee injury rookie footballer Owen needs constant physio. Taylor is training and is given a special assignment, Owen. Cocky, crude mouth and full of it he pushes the work only rule to the fullest, but he also has secrets. Another great read from BB Hamel, always with the full on dirty mouth, charm and the hot looks her male characters also have that hint of vulnerability underneath all their alpha maleness. A bit of mystery and the bad guy mafia thugs add a bit of dimension to the football and the actual romance, no violence in this one as such just the language and hot sex.
