Ruby thought she was the ordinary sister in the Love clan—that is, until her dead brother searches her out and begs for her help. Along with him come others—not just other dead, but demons, too—and they are terrifying enough to alarm even someone with Ruby’s eerie family history. She turns to John Cassian, a successful-but-sketchy businessman who seems to know more about demons than is good for either of them. He agrees to help her save her brother’s soul, but Ruby knows he has motives of his own. He is too compelling, too sensual to resist, but even as he seduces Ruby’s body, she fears the consequences of trusting him. John is seeking revenge, but who or what has he targeted? And how can she love a man who frightens even the stuff of nightmares?

So amazing. The ending made me cry. Beautiful! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * copy received for review consideration
The bad thing about series is you have to wait much too long, in my opinion, until you get the next installment. The good thing about a series is that you get to revisit those characters you're come to love.
This book was an amazing read from start to finish. It took me a chapter or two to remember where the other book left off, but once I got up to speed, I couldn't get enough.
This book delves into the paranormal and ties in some romantic interest too. Jack is yummy and perfect balance for Ruby. Sweet, sexy, and kind, but yet has secrets that could cause everything to fall apart.
With amazing scenes and an imagination beyond what we would call normal, the author takes us into another world that is somewhat frightening but yet so believable. When you can see angels, demons, and ghosts, you know you are in for a wild, creepy ride.
This series is a beautiful balance of three amazing stories and the ending in The Seven Sins of Ruby Love actually made me cry. Incredibly touching and completely unexpected. You have to experience it firsthand.
For the full effect make sure you start with the first book. That makes the third book even more special.
Finally I've got my hands on a copy of this book! It's a series that started in 2013 so to get the third full length story here in 2017 was a jolt. I won't lie I really had to get my thinking cap on to remember what had previously happened but when it came flooding back I was diving in and no mistake. So was it worth the wait? This has been such an original idea that I'm loathe to give too much away . I can say that Ruby is part of a very special family and she had twin siblings who had the uncanny knack of refusing to die! Now I did state ' had ' and although Roxanne is alive and kicking ( with her hunky but oh so dangerous ex Reaper Santo) her twin Reece sacrificed his life and is now trapped with the Demons in Beyond. Ruby is the oldest, the normal one and yet recently she has started seeing ghosts and when she finally sees Reece he's not alone, no Demons are with him! John is much more than he appears. Smooth, rich, an entrepreneur but also someone with ties to the Beyond , with an agenda entirely of his own! John sees things others cannot and when he sees Ruby apparently communicating with Demons he's not exactly sure which side she's on. One thing is certain Ruby is in danger and John feels driven to save her but can he trust her and more to the point can Ruby trust this man who hides just what he really is? This is a paranormal story that feels unlike others I've read and yet unfortunately I didn't feel it was as strong as the previous books. Perhaps it's that Ruby was always the very human sibling without 'gifts' and I was a tad confused as to why things would manifest now . Her grief possibly ? What is very strong is the sizzling connection between the couple and I loved the way John would tease her. For me at times their relationship overshadowed the action but it's a romance so I do understand the reasons. John has done incredibly awful things and is prepared to go to any lengths in his desire to finally get closure but it all ultimately comes down to Ruby and it's such a fascinating way to end this series. My only slight niggle is we didn't really get to see much of the villain so I didn't quite root for Ruby and John as much as I wanted but I cannot deny that the ending felt right , a little sad but a whole lot more positive which is a good way to end this series. This voluntary review is of a copy provided for me and these thoughts are own honest opinion
I loved Beyond but the last book wasn't as good as the others and left me unsatisfied. From the very first book I wanted to know why the Love siblings were unique but no explanation was given about their curse/gift. Also Ryan was missing from this one. He is the eldest Love and always came through as responsible and protective brother. Roxanne and Santo was there but I missed Ryan sorely.
Full disclosure, I’ve always been a bit biased towards the Beyond series since the setting is practically in my backyard. The idea that a portal to the afterlife has opened somewhere in Tempe, Arizona just starts me on all sorts jokes about Hell being a summer day here in the desert. Don’t worry though, eternal damnation is just a dry heat. In all seriousness, author Erin Quinn may have some fun in setting her dark paranormal series in a town known for the party school down the street, but she covers some fairly serious ground in the story. The Seven Sins of Ruby Love takes readers down a path that includes demons, ghosts and the idea that there’s a very thin line between biblical salvation and destruction.
There is nothing normal about the Love family. Twenty-something twins Roxanne and Reece were known for their ability to cheat death until the reaper literally came to town to claim their souls and instead decided to stay with Roxanne. Older brother Ryan fell in love with a woman born in the realm known as the Beyond, where God’s other creations live separately from his chosen creation, Humans. Middle sister Ruby Love always considered herself the most average of the siblings since she had no special abilities. That changed after a powerful demon tried to open a portal to the Beyond and it cost her baby brother Reece his life to close it. Ever since, Ruby has been plagued with visions of ghosts that haven’t crossed over to the next plane after dying. For the most part she has learned to ignore the ghosts until the spirt of Reece Love appears to her. Ruby is horrified to think her brother hasn’t found peace in the afterlife and when he asks for her help it shatters her.
It was a very long wait for this book and to be honest, i had to go back and do a quick scan through the previous 2 books so I could get back into the overall story. So no, I don't think it would read well as a standalone.
That said, I enjoyed it but not as much as I had anticipated. In all, it's a good series and the ending was unexpectedly heart-wrenching but good.

John Cassian wants vengeance and when Ruby Love runs straight into his arms, literally, he sees her as his possible ticket to that vengeance, all he has to do is keep his hands and his heart out of it. Ruby is tormented by ghosts; she sees the dead and when her dead brother shows up on the train with her and asks for her help, she is determined to accomplish that, even if it means doing it without the aid of her family. The chemistry between Ruby and John was hot and explosive. They burned up the pages and their intense emotional journey to trusting, and loving, each other made the story progress smoothly and quickly. I loved watching their adventure unfold and when the truth comes out about who John really is and his motives, Ruby has to decide if she can stay with a man that has done heinous crimes to survive. John fears she will walk out the door and never return, but that doesn't stop him from helping her reach her dead brother. When Ruby is in danger John rushes to her aid and the conclusion of their story was awesome! This one didn't need an epilog, like The Three Fates of Ryan Love; how this one ends was perfect and complete. When you through in ghosts, angels that aren't that heavenly, a reaper, a half-breed, and a lot of action you end up with a thrilling and entertaining story.
It has been a while since I have read anything by Erin Quinn but her Haunting Series is an all-time favorite of mine so I was delight to see a new book by her. I thought she has moved on to write contemporary romance only. Imagine my surprise to see that The Seven Sins of Ruby Love is part of the Beyond Series with it being book 3. I really wish that I had read the books concerning the Love family in order, but I have no one to blame but myself. Since this is the last of the series it ties up loose ends, bringing the family saga to a close. Now I must, must, must go back to purchase the first two books in the series.
Ruby is strong; willing to help her late brother anyway she can but knows when to seek counsel, so she was easy to like. While John was irresistible but his secret agenda made him a harder sell for me. Complex and flawed characters with mixed motives is what Erin Quinn does best. Boy, does she give it to the reader here. The undeniable attraction between Ruby and John added to the desire for revenge, make Ruby’s story a compelling reading that will keep one, like I was, reading long into the night. Then the ending was what I would have wished for John and Ruby. An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley.
I enjoyed it, but left feeling unsatisfied. It's also curious that this is only available as a $1.99 ebook (at least when I bought it) and came out 2(?) years after the second book.
So, if you are just starting this series you are pretty golden. Because all three books in the trilogy are already published. If you are like me, who read the first book right after it was published you are probably half glad the series is concluded. Because seriously. TWO YEARS in between each book?! I'm sorry but it seems in today's market that if you are only publishing books every two years you stand a good chance of becoming irrelevant. Honestly, if it wasn't for keeping track of books on Goodreads I would have completely forgotten about it in the TWO YEARS between books. (Although I should mention there were two little novellas in the in between years but they didn't have much to do with the others.)
OK...now that I've gotten that particular rant out of the way...
This is a good series to read from the beginning. The three really tie each other together so I think you would be confused if you started here. The world building is great and rather unique. The flow of the books and the wording was quite beautiful at times. I enjoyed the MC's and the progression of their relationship and how this book tied up so many of the loose ends. I liked the bit of mystery and the interesting side characters. You never knew if they were good or bad or maybe a bit of both. It kept you guessing. It was a nice little series and this was a solid conclusion to it.

The Seven Sins of Ruby Love by Erin Quinn is the third instalment in the Beyond Series. A heart pounding, spell binding paranormal romance that keeps you on your toes wanting to see what happens next at every turn. Since it’s the third book, it can be read as a standalone, but the previous two books do play a role and could help you understand the storyline better.
Ruby Love comes from a mystical family in a world of demonic souls, half-breeds, fallen angels, watchers and reapers that have infiltrated with the humans. Breeding and corrupting the population, the Love family is in the middle of this festering ground. Her twin brother Reece died recently in a horrific way and now is bound to the hell that nightmares are made of. She can see the spirits of the dead at every turn, so when she stumbles across Reese his spirit is of the darkest kind. He speaks to her of help, but following him is other demonic creatures that are not so friendly. Saved and comforted by a stranger; John Cassian, a man who knows all too well who is lurking in the shadows. She turns to him for help in saving her brothers soul.
Is John really a stranger to Ruby or did he come to the small town of Tempe to deal with the undead problem? Ruby is lustful after John and their chemistry is hot from the beginning, but are her eyes blind to the sin and can’t see past who John truly is? John has friends in high channels of the underworld per se, but these people come with a price. When the axis turns dangerous and Ruby is put into a serious situation, what will happen to her, John, her brother and the other souls? Does Ruby hold another power that outshines anything that anyone has ever seen to be true?
A miracle?
This paranormal is definitely not your Sunday school lesson on angels and demons. This is the untold take of what happens in the shadows and where the angels go when they fall. Emotional journey for Ruby in her quest to find redemption for her brother Reece and for herself thanks to John. Excellent tale, keeps you yearning for more. Never a dull moment. Highly recommend this book to those who like action and adventure with some passionate chemistry in their paranormal romance!
I love the Beyond series by Erin Quinn. I have all her books. This books is the best so far. Ok this is my opinion but I rated it with 5 stars and it is a keeper and I will re-read it in a few months.
