Since childhood, Harlow strived to guard her emotions from the boy next door, knowing if she were to surrender to him she would risk shattering the walls she fought so hard to construct. Against all odds, Dillon triumphantly conquers her heart, but promises made are just as easily broken. Reluctantly, Dillon is forced to leave Harlow behind, vowing to one day return to reclaim her.
When fate brings them back together, Dillon discovers Harlow’s life is far from the happily ever after he always believed she deserved, and he is no longer the boy she fell in love with. He is now a knight, ready and willing to fight for her, refusing to allow the love they once shared to become nothing more than an illusion.
Illusion is Book 3 in the Dragon Knights Series, which each rock star will receive their own story. This is a full-length novel and could be read as a stand-alone.
Gabbie is a Southern California native, who lives with her wonderful husband, two amazing kids and a senior citizen kitty. When she’s not writing you can find her reading or sneaking off for a run. Some might say it’s a crazy life, but she wouldn’t change anything about it.
I can't get enough of the Dragon Knights. This story didn't disappoint. I loved Harlow and Dillon's story. How they had a random second chance meeting. And how could you not love a man who takes to a woman's child right away. It's very sweet and sexy at the same time. I felt so bad for everything Harlow had to go through in life, but she ended on a pretty good note. I'm very excited to read about the next Dragon Knight's chance at love.
Dillon Richardson, his brother and cousins: Kaleb, Chris, Vinny, and Eddie return as the Dragon Knights prepare to head out on a huge tour that is set to cross the United States and end internationally. What happens when your future is turning out perfectly? Well, that's when your past comes back to haunt you.
Dillon and Harlow had a love from childhood that left them both broken. How much can two people deal with before they have to face the facts of what life has handed them?
I love this series. When I began the series with Wishful Thinking, I just knew that Kaleb Knight was the character from the series that would be my favorite (that's pretty much the way it always goes with me) but it didn't take long for Dillon to knock Kaleb to the second spot or at least make him share that title with Dillon. These characters are amazing, they aren't perfect, they are real. They don't have the perfect lives despite being rockstars. They deal with some of the same problems we face. I am so excited to see where the Mrs. Duran takes this series and the life she continues to breathe into these extraordinary characters with her amazing storytelling abilities.
Unfortunately, I had not rated or reviewed the previous 2 books in this series after reading them and many months later, made the mistake of downloading the 3rd when it popped up as a recommendation. This author fills her books with so much unnecessary drama. The characters are immature, over-reactive and irritating. The hypocrisy from both main characters is beyond frustrating. Also, this author needs to have a better proof reading team, there's story line and grammatical errors. I'm not one to stop part way through a book regardless of crappy read, but I did end up skimming just to get to the end of the book. Don't waste your time with the author if you want likeable characters and quality writing.
This is Book 3 in the Dragon Knights series. It can be read as a standalone, however I recommend reading the first two books as the characters intertwine frequently. I wasn't as attached to this one as the first two, but that could have just been all my distractions during this one... lol. Love the ending and look forward to seeing these characters updates in the next two books of the series.
This was the 3rd installment in the Dragon Knights series and focuses on Harlow and Dillon. Gabbie takes her readers through their story how they met as young kids. It pulled me in and had me hooked with the twists and turns that take place throughout the story. It is truly by a matter of fate that that Harlow and Dillon's paths cross again now that they are adults. It was a great read and could be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend reading Wishful Thinking ( Dragon Knights #1) and Colors ( Dragon Knights #2) so that you can relate to each charter and swoon over the men that make you mad and fall for them all over again.
Gabbie has done it again. I am in love with the Dragon Knight series. Dillon frustrates me throughout most of this book, but he's no different than any other man. Harlow is the typical woman, trying to make something out of nothing, in her relationship and out. Love little man Knox.
