Sammy's books have changed the way I train both physically, emotionally and mentally. If you have ever needed to defend yourself then read all Sammy Franco books and put them into action. In short, this is a great book on developing mental toughness! There are plenty of exercises with thoughtful questions and explanations to help a person develop the needed skills, attitude and knowledge to achieve.....Mental Toughness. You will not be disappointed; unless of course you don't take the time to incorporate the information into your daily routine. If that case, don't bother buying the book!
The majority of this book is filler- mostly discussing the elemental aspects of mental thought and power. The same long winded material you can find in any book. The remaining is more of a workbook- listing the reasons for mental doubt. Only the last couple of pages are "exercises". And I would not even dare to call as such. They are more tips and at that tips that are common sense or tips found in any other psycho babble book. I was truly hoping for some meditative type exercises- exercises being composed of multiple steps. A single action does NOT fully qualify as an exercise. It qualifies as a tip or procedure. Waste of money- unless you've never read a mental power book. If you haven't there are much better ones on the market.
