A steamy, full-length, standalone romance with a guaranteed HEA from Amazon Bestselling author J.H. Croix! If you like smoking hot romance with alpha men and strong women, you’ll love this series!

Sometimes what we run from leads us exactly where we need to be.

Jessa Hamilton has nowhere else to go. So she’s packed up her little blue truck and driven to Alaska, seeking refuge at Last Frontier Lodge where at least she has family she can count on. A fender bender lands her in the path of Eli Brooks, a man of pure, well, manliness. Rugged and sexy with a smile that sends sparks flying through her, Jessa has no idea what to do with the way Eli makes her feel.

Eli has plenty on his mind and none of it has anything to do with meeting a woman who makes him reconsider his commitment to avoiding romance. A painful past led Eli to seek peace in the land he loves—the wilderness of Alaska. Eli is a classic Alaskan—he breathes hunting and fishing. Jessa is unlike any woman he’s ever encountered—quirky, sexy, independent and…a vegetarian.

While Jessa tries to put the pieces of her life together, a surprise from the past forces Eli to question just how much running from the past has gotten him. As they each grapple with their own ghosts, passion burns like wildfire between them.

This was a good read. Jessa had a fire at her old place. She is now here with family. Eli is a man whose home life wasn't great. Now his younger brother is here and he is taking care of him. While they both deal they manage to fall in love and get their happy ending.

Boring

The setup for this book seemed really good: artist moves to Alaska to restart her career, meets a fisherman who is getting guardianship of his abused younger brother. Unfortunately, Jessa and Eli are just too boring. There is instalove, which leads to almost instakissing, but the chemistry between them is kinda bland. There is a lot of repetition about backstory, particularly of previous book protagonists. The little brother is perfect - we are constantly told he is a good worker, and he even learns how to grill perfectly on the first go! There is some tension with Eli's parents, but nothing dramatic happens.

The only tension in this book was mine, when Jessa's brother, who also happens to be Eli's lawyer, blithely tells her what Eli has hired him for. Hello! Ever heard of confidentiality? However, this is not treated as a problem by the book, which, I admit, kinda ruined the rest of it for me.

This was actually quite sweet. I liked Eli and how he stepped up to look after his younger brother. Eli and Jessa were a good match and their chemistry (sexual, anyway) was very evident. The 'drama' of the book was dealt with quickly which was excellent. Plus this book makes me want to visit Alaska - even if I don't like fishing.

Although I can't help but mention that some of the terms used during sex scenes made me laugh. Every time Jessa took her bra off her breasts "tumbled loose". I had visions of boulders tumbling down a hill. And it reminded me of that song 'do your boobs hang low'...

This series may be a little repetitive, but I am committed and have really been enjoying it! Stay With Me was the fifth book in J.H. Croix’s Last Frontier Lodge Series. It was super sweet and sexy!

Jessa came to Alaska to figure out where her life was going. Her world had gone up in flames and she was struggling to find her place. Would the wilderness help clear her mind or would crashing into Eli just confuse her more?

Life had not always been kind to Eli. Alaska had been his salvation for years. He had built his business from the ground up and it was thriving. Even though he had enough on his plate when Jessa crashed into him, could he find a spot for her too?

I loved the extra elements in this book (I don’t want to give anything away!) Eli just made my heart melt!! They fell fast, which sometimes bothers me, but it worked for them! I love that I got to see glimpses of other characters! Can’t wait to see what is in store next!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Jessa runs to Diamond Creek, Alaska after her whole life goes up in flames. She bumps in to Eli when she first gets there and they can’t stay away from each other. Gage gave her a room in the Lodge where she is helping in the dining room. Eli has come from a destructive home and isn’t sure he can be in a relationship, he’s afraid of turning into his violent father. Ryan, his 14 year old brother shows up because he is afraid of their father so Eli decides to get guardianship. Eli also has to decide how much he wants to be with Jessa. Jessa hasn’t been in a relationship either. Their story is a rocky road to a HEA. Loved this book!!

I. Love. JH Croix's writing!! I love the settings for this series I love the people she describes in this series.
This story is about Jessa and Eli.
Jessa lost everything when the fire destroyed her apartment building. Jessa lost her belonging, as well as her livelihood in Seattle. She painted furniture in her apartment and sold them. She has lost everything! She decides to go to family to Last Frontier Lodge where her brother Gage has reopened the ski lodge that was owned by her grandparents. She needs to take some time to regroup. When she arrives in Diamond Creek, she runs into Eli for the first time.
Eli left home left home and moved to Diamond Creek, Alaska ten years ago as soon as he turned eighteen. He was tired of the abuse he was receiving from his lowlife father. He has made a good life for himself in Diamond Creek. He owns and runs a successful outdoor sporting goods business with fishing and hunting chartering service. Eli also left home because he was afraid of becoming like his father, this is the same reason why he is still single. He avoids relationships like the plague. Is that is about to change?
Eli first meets Jessa when she quite literally runs into Eli, or rather Eli’s truck when she is backing “Blue” her truck, out of her parking spot. Eli gets out of his truck and leans against it waiting for the driver to get out. Let’s just say Eli’s demeanor totally changes the first time he sees Jessa, and the sparks begin to light.
That night the motion sensor at his store keeps going off. Eli goes down to the store and sees someone in a tent behind the store. Imagine his surprise when his younger brother Ryan gets out of the tent. Ryan has run away from home for the same reason Eli did.
I am not giving anymore away. I will say Ms. Croix as lived up to her past reputation and has written another phenomenally emotional book. She has a dedication at the beginning of this book: "To new beginning's and the one who helps me find them time and again." This is a perfect description of this book.

Thank you for reading my review

This is another great book in the Last Frontier Lodge series. This time, it’s Jessa, the youngest of the Hamilton clan. She has just suffered a major blow in her personal and professional life with an apartment fire that burned everything she owned. Now, in hopes to find her footing again, she’s traveling to Alaska, to visit two of her brothers, with what little was salvageable loading into her truck.

Eli Brooks is a sportsman in Diamond Creek, a transplant from Juneau, and a life he’d rather forget. His father was abusive and his mother was so broken from it she couldn’t stand up for herself. Eli knew if he didn’t leave, he would end up like his old man and he could stand that. So he made a deal, he’d pay for his father’s apartment, in a different place from his mother and younger brother, and he would leave the toxic wasteland of his family. The scars being that he could never trust himself to not become his father.

These two have enough attraction and self-doubt to keep anyone wondering. As one finds their way to the other, only to find them freezing up with inability to grasp what they could have. It’s a push pull that finally ends when they realize that their biggest fear is to live without the other. I’ve enjoyed this series immensely, I’m only sad now that I have to wait for book 6. I didn’t realize that book 5 had just been published as I started reading the series. I know the books say stand-alone but I would recommend reading book 1 before the rest. Then I think they can stand on their own but book 1 is just so much of the background that plays into the rest of the series

A solid 4.5 stars

This is another book in the Last Frontier Lodge series. While the characters were great, just felt a little lacking for me, that's why the 4.5 stars. I may have been looking for a bit more drama in the storyline. Something with Jessa and her nightmares. Maybe something with Eli and his family.

Jessa is a Hamilton. Most of her brothers have already moved to Diamond Creek and with nothing left after a fire, she makes her way there. Eli has been around Diamond Creek for years after leaving an abusive family. The pair meet in a parking lot after Jessa backs into Eli's truck.

The chemistry between the two is off the charts. You get to see all the old favorites, especially Garrett and Marley. Jessa and Eli both don't know how to navigate their feelings for one other, which leads to some heartache for Jessa.

You don't have to read the other books in the series but I would highly recommend it. Just from reading the stories and all the vivid detail that the author puts in, makes me want to visit Alaska.

I received a copy for my honest review.

I did receive this book as a free ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I do love the Wilderness series as it tells a back story and a love story as well.

The main characters of the story, Jessa finds herself homeless after her apartment in Seattle goes up in flames. Now up in Alaska living in the Wilderness Lodge with her family, she is trying to get back to a normal life.

Jessa backs her truck in Eli's truck where they first meet. Eli has had a bad childhood growing up, never really dated or had many of relationships with women. Eli always swore he wouldn't get married however now being with Jessa he's reconsidering that. Eli just needs a helpful push.

Staying...

Another great story in the Last Frontier Lodge series! Jessa is trying to piece her life together and Eli is trying to keep his brother's life from falling to pieces and all while both of them start falling for each other. While it wasn't my favorite of the series, it's a great story to keep up with life at the lodge. I would have liked a bit more conflict between both Jessa and Eli and with Eli and his family. I thought the story smoothed over it a bit. Nonetheless, it's still a great read and I'm looking forward to Lacey and Quinn's story!

Enjoyed the story, editing needs some work

This is the third book in the series I have read. I love the authors visuals of Diamond Creek, I love the storylines themselves but for some reason I noticed a lot of repetition in the story.
It seemed like the author needed to fill up space.
Other than that I loved it and was so glad that Eli overcame his preconceived notions of his behavior. I am looking forward to more from this Author and the last frontier lodge.

Another great romance in Diamond Creek, Alaska. This one centers on Jessa, the youngest of the Hamilton clan, and Eli, a local businessman. Love the setting and the Hamilton family with the lodge and all of their friends. Love Eli and getting to know him and some of his background with his dysfunctional family. Really nice romance!!

Same old, for good and ill
I promised myself I wouldn't read any J.H. Croix books anymore. Not because her books are bad - they aren't. They're actually quite good, each of them.
They're just all the same.
We have a heroine with "lush curves" and "ample breasts" (there are apparently no flat chested women in Alaska) who "bites her plump lip" and flushes or blushes continually.
We have a hero "without an ounce of fat" (there are apparently no regular guys in Alaska either).
The sexual attraction is over the top, preventing them from thinking (in this book they "give themselves a mental shake" continually). They both have control issues, for whatever reason, and don't like feeling out of control because of love. One or both feels "discombobulated" (now there's a word you don't see every day!). They walk in confusion until one of them speaks about the relationship, the other freezes, then apologizes and they live happily ever after.

To be fair, the characters do different things, and have different reasons for their fear of relationships. In this book, I actually enjoyed the relationship with Eli's brother Ryan and his backstory more than the rest of the book.

So:
If this is your first Croix book: read it! Jessa is nice, Eli is interesting, their relationship unfolds well if a little fast, and the secondary characters are great.
If this isn't and you know and love her style: read it! You know what you're getting into.
If you're hoping for a Croix book with a thin heroine, a six-pack less hero, and no discombobulation - go somewhere else.

Standalone. 3rd person point of view. Steamy.

This is the fifth book of the series, which is Eli's and Jessa's story. It can also be read as a stand alone, but will make you want to read the others in the series with all the loveable characters.

Eli is the local hunting and fishing store owner who was happy keeping things casual, until Jessa backs in to his truck. Jessa showed up to visit her brothers after a fire destroyed her apartment with all her belongings. She packed what was left and left Seattle to drive all the way to Alaska. Their story is heart felt and amusing.

You will fall in love with the setting with the way J.H. Croix describes the places and the animals. I have never thought about going to Alaska but now I might.

I thought this book was good and gave it 4 stars. The basic story line was fun and interesting but some of the events and phrasing of them could have been different. They seemed to always be "forgetting where they are" when they start groping each other. in a small town that would have been noticed and they would have become the rumor of the town, but some how no one says anything. Also the characters were also very forward with each other. Not often do people kiss when they barely know each other.

Over all the book was a good and fun read. I highly recommend it.

Wow! I swear these books get sweeter and sweeter.
In this story Gage’s little sister Jessa is visiting after a fire took here home and all her belongings. She was lucky to make it out alive. Upon her first day in Diamond Creek she backs into a truck. The owner of said truck is the sexy and most handsome Eli.

Eli is the owner of Game to Fishing. He is successful and handsome and survivor of an abusive upbringing. So when his baby brother Ryan shows up he is determined to keep him safe. Being safe means not sending him back.

What Eli did not expect was the beautiful woman whom has invaded his mind, body and soul. He never saw himself in a relationship. He is scared of becoming like his father and is afraid to let go. Will this drive Jessa away?

Jessa is a beautiful person, inside and out. She is very artistic and shy. I loved reading her story and watching her open up. Eli is wonderful and kind. He is so caring and protective.

This is another great toe curling cozy romance, with enough heat to light your fire. So grab that glass of wine and settle in for a nice steamy little number.

Another great book in the series.
Jessa's luck couldn't get any worse or so she thought. Her apartment building burned down and most of her furniture she painted to sell was stored in the second bedroom of her apartment. She also burned her arm trying to escape the fire. She packs everything she owns into her pickup and decides to head to Diamond Creek to stay with family until she can figure out what to do. Once she arrives there she has a fender bender when she backs into Eli's truck. The only thing good about the whole thing is that he is HOT. Neither is looking for a relationship and doesn't know how to do a real relationship. He can't seem to get Jessa out of his mind but is afraid of getting into a relationship because of his parents. What does he do when Jessa finally tells him how she really feels? What does he do when Jessa goes back to Seattle to take care of a few things before she moves to Diamond Creek permanently? Will Eli finally admit to how he really feels or will he let Jessa walk away forever? Will they be able to work things out?

Displaced In Diamond Creek

Jessa has always felt like the odd one out in her incredibly driven family. Two Navy SEALs, two Attorneys and her, the starving Artist! She is in town to stay with her family and figure out what to do after a fire, where she lost everything.
Eli left home ten years ago, leaving behind his abusive dad, his submissive, scared mom and his four yr old brother. He hasn’t been back since. Eli runs a charter boat service and a retail store selling outdoor gear of all kinds. He ends up with an unexpected guest, when his fourteen yr old brother Ryan hitchhikes into town asking to stay.
They meet because Jessa backs into him in the parking lot. Sparks fly and the electricity snaps immediately for both of them. They are drawn together by their passion for each other. Now they just need to figure out where this will lead them.
This book is sexy, steamy and awesome. Ryan is a great secondary character, and I love hearing about the family from previous stories!
Check out this book and series today!

I’ve finished this whole series and every book is amazing. I’ve fallen in love with Diamond Creek and Alaska with it, not to mention the characters whom I’ve grown quite attached to! All the books contain a lovely, heart-warming and VERY hot romance. Although each book is a standalone, I recommend reading them in the proper order as we get glimpses and clues of the next couple in the current book, and get to see the evolution of the preceding couples in each new book we’re reading.

This was Jessa and Eli’s story. Jessa is the baby of the Hamilton family, but her bubbly character gets lost when she finds herself starting life from scratch after a fire. Coming to Last Frontier Lodge in order to be with her siblings while dealing with the aftermath, she meets Eli and the clouds start parting again. Meanwhile, Eli is also dealing with an unforeseen life-changing situation. The hotness factor is very present here as well, and each find they’ve gained more than they’ve lost.

Could have been 3 or 4 stars but.....

Had potential but for several reasons I was left with disappointed. For starters every time the author mention the heroine’s channel all I kept thinking so is the hero the remote? There has to be another word other than channel to describe entering a woman. Secondly, I know the heroine was suppose to be quirky but you mean to tell me nowhere in her entire wardrobe did she own a dress or idk maybe jeans. The whole leggings was mention more times than I cared to read about, that I was over it. Third although there some mention of time, there was no sense of a timeline. Fourth- I felt their relationship was on the basis of sex and solely sex. Fifth this author was so utterly and unnecessarily repetitive in the way she described feelings and actions. Sixth some editing would have been nice. And last but not least the only saving grace was the relationship between the hero and his brother who he stepped up to take care of.

Jessa’s apartment recently caught fire and she’s lost everything. She decides to pack what little she has left in her little blue truck and head up to Diamond Creek, Alaska, where her family owns a lodge. Right after she gets into town she hits Eli’s car. There is an instant attraction.
Jessa’s floundering on what to do with her life now but is offered an interesting opportunity. If she decides to stay in Diamond Creek, can she get her HEA with Eli too?
J.H. Croix's Frontier Lodge series is about a family that owns a lodge up in Alaska. Each book is about a sibling finding their true love. Each book is a Happy Ever After, but after one book you want to read the next to find out what happens with the rest of them.

Jessa and Eli's story is the next must-read in this fantastic series.
Their story is filled with angst and emotional chaos that they both struggle to comprehend and deal with, as they have never before felt as passionately for anyone as they feel for each other. Add to these strong and deep feelings the fact that Jessa lost her livelihood in a devastating fire that she herself barely escaped alive, and it's no surprise that she needs to find her footing before she can even make any big, life-changing decisions.
I loved this page-turner so much ... the lifelike characters as well as the small-town Alaska setting and the reunion with old friends.

In Stay with Me Jessa Hamilton and Eli Brooks move from a minor fender bender to dating to a relationship in this sweet romance set in Alaska.

The support of family and the strong bonds between siblings is a big part of the story. The setting descriptions are excellent; I know because I have visited Alaska several times and I am familiar with the area where the story is set. The character development and the emotional level of the commitment is tops making this sweet romance not only hot but fun too.

I love this series of books. Discovered them quite by accident. As you read each of these books you are taken to the small town of Diamond Creek, Alaska. The descriptions of the setting allow you to see beautiful glaciers, as well as the bay. Jessa and Eli form a relationship just as Eli's younger brother comes into his life & he is dealing with his own issues around his parents marriage. They each explore the issues of their past while finding their way to love.

Another Great Story in Last Frontier Lodge Series

I just want to sigh loudly after reading this sweet story. It was emotionally charged and made my stomach flip a few times. Jessa wasn’t expecting Eli and he wasn’t expecting her but they managed to find each other and fall in love. It wasn’t easy especially when Eli’s past came rearing up to cause complications. So their HEA was that much sweeter. Love this series and all the characters.

Sweet and sexy

A sweet and sexy romance between Jessa, looking to start a new life after a devastating fire, and Eli, a confirmed bachelor not looking for a relationship.

It’s cute, funny and the characters are well developed and interesting. The author paints a rosy picture of life in Alaska and the thriving town of Diamond Falls.

Part of a series, this can be read as a stand-alone. A very enjoyable book.

J.H. CROIX!!!

STAY WITH ME is book five in the Last Frontier series. I loved hearing Jesse and Eli's story. I really felt Jesse's pain in having to start over. Her insecurities over what she should do with her life with such successful siblings. Eli stepping up without hesitation for his brother. His fear of relationships without a good time model. I especially loved the way the community, friends and family help each other!
