Lies (Book 1):
The level of how much I loved this book is indescribable! From the first to the last page, I was nothing but hooked. Between the storyline, the incredible characters and how it was all beautifully written there was no downside to this book. Ending is super suspenseful!
Chaos (Book 2):
This series is so good, I can't begin to explain how much I love everything about it. Super quick read, because you literally can't put it down. The suspense definitely continues in book two, and we begin getting some answers that started in book one. Another suspenseful ending to take you over to book three.
Revenge (Book 3):
The story of Josh and Gabriella continues in this highly addictive trilogy. The ending is here and wraps up what has become a whirl wind of a story. I couldn't get enough, and flew through this book just to reach the end to get the outcome.

A thrilling story full of suspense

This is a new author for me. CA Harms really impressed me with this trilogy. It was just the right amount of suspense and intrigue that makes a really good story. To think that it all started with a kiss. I rarely give a five star review but this trilogy definitely is worthy.

Lies (Phoenix Undercover #1)
5 star

I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, secrets, lies, suspense, twists & turns and heartbreak.

This is Gabriella and Joshua’s story. Josh is going deep undercover. A chance meeting throws him off balance. Gabriella was a shock. She is the one thing that can ground Josh. As they try and have a relationship while he is undercover he knows it’s dangerous but he just can’t stay away. With the undercover work Josh is gone a lot but they try hard to make it work. But when things go wrong and Josh’s cover is blown will she go down with him? This book is full of twists & turns you will never see coming. It’s a edge of your seat book. But the ending!!!! Can’t wait for the next part of this story!!!

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

This is more of Gabriella and Joshua’s story. We were left with a cliffhanger from this first book and this one starts right where the other one left off. Gabriella is grieving and trying to go through life day by day but it’s hard. She is in for even more surprises. Josh is rescued only to not be able to go back home. He must watch life from the side lines as his family and woman believe that he is dead. What happens when Josh thinks it just too much for all of them? With ever twist and turn you wonder if these two will ever get back together. It’s a edge of your seat book that will have you feeling all your emotions. Can’t wait for the next part of this story!

This was a good series! Josh and Gabby's first meeting is hilarious! These two have been through a lot due to Josh's job. Thankfully they both have supportive families and friends that are there for them. There are some twists that I didn't expect. These two feel so deeply about each other and you can feel it when you are reading it. You just know that these two have to make it or the other won't survive. I really enjoyed this series and looking forward to reading more by C.A. Harms!

Great

It took a long time for me to read this trilogy but I am so glad I did! I also could kick myself for waiting so long. Gabby and Josh... theirs is a love story that is so beautiful!.. There is no one who writes these better than Ms. Harms. She brings you in and keeps you there until the last beautiful word is written. I would give this more than five stars if I could!!! Thank you

I guess this was a case of everyone but me loved it. I did LOVE the parts when it was just Josh and Gabby bantering and their love for their baby. Also loved Grey and Brook.

Love this author's other works so I gave this a try even though I knew it had a few triggers I don't like.

Imagine you were invited to Thanksgiving dinner. Your mouth waters anticipating all the yummiest foods...and then you show up, sit down and on your plate is frank's & beans. That is how I felt at the end of this book. I was SO disappointed with the ending. Call me a bloodthirsty bi-otch, but the bad guy did not suffer and that pissed me off.

We got a cute meet with Josh and Gabby, one date and then DRAMA, DRAMA, angst, and suffering through Josh's bad choices. He would think the most beautiful things about Gabby but his actions did not match up to his feelings. He would use her body to soothe his conscience and then shove her to the back of his mind while he focused on the case. I couldn't understand WHY he didn't teach her self-defense, buy her a gun or taser, or teach her basic situational awareness! She is a freaking New Yorker with a Marine for a father. I would think she would have a bat or knife under her bed, would not be texting while entering an elevator, and not at least have her keys in her hand to use as a weapon when they all knew a PSYCHO was after her.

I was also disappointed by the way the law enforcement agencies were portrayed. Full of drug-addicted, greedy traitors and incompetents. Josh has serious rage, a filthy mouth (which is fine off the clock), screws Gabby on his desk in the FBI office while on the clock which draws applause from his coworkers, he broke a rookie rule on the 1st night of his 1st undercover assignment, couldn't spot a traitor in his midst, behaved unprofessional with a teen victim and rather than being written up, suspended/fired or referred to a sexual harassment course he was promoted! No wonder people make fun of government agencies.... Then there was Audrey the supposed DEA agent. I think I have more training, street smarts and integrity than her just from watching 24 and Law & Order plus reading Katie Reus' Red Stone Security series & HRT books of Kaylea Cross'.

I couldn't understand why the bad guy was so focused on Gabby either since Josh was part of a team, there were several undercover agents and Audrey was closer to him and a bigger betrayal. It was said Leo personally broke in all the sex slaves so I found it strange that Gabby's well-used, over the age of consent, recently C-sectioned p@$$y was such a holy grail. Of course, I couldn't understand ANYTHING in his mind...all his thoughts made me want to take a bleach shower. And I really wanted Gabby to

I guess I just need to stick to books that are a little less dark, the characters have the integrity and smarts I admire and where the bad guys suffer enough to satisfy my need for justice. (Hey, don't judge, we all have our likes and dislikes!)

This is for those who love the darker reads.
