Focus: It's The Promise Not The Process That Matters

Rate this book
Have you ever encountered a dreadful situation?

One that was not only unexpected but also seemingly impossible? Well in August of 2014, DeeDee Freeman was faced with the near death of her husband and pastor, Dr. Michael A. Freeman. How she chose to face the next few months of the ordeal would affect her husband’s outcome and ultimately, her family’s fate.

In FOCUS, DeeDee Freeman teaches readers how to “focus on the promise and not the process,” as she shares her experience in this modern-day David and Goliath tale. With authenticity, she reveals the challenges she and her husband faced during this time, and how they defied natural odds with supernatural tools.

After reading this book and applying the practical principles, you will walk into your next faith fight with full knowledge of how to win in every area of your life.

Without going into details about the book, this is the story of how a woman's faith in God triumphed over the enemy when the enemy attacked her husband/pastor (Dr. Mike Freeman). Dr. DeeDee Freeman shares her testimony of how she focused on the promise (her husband's healing) and not the process (his time in the hospital as the situation looked bleak). There were some great nuggets that I took away from reading (I encourage you to grab a journal to take notes), such as
1. The importance of living by faith 24/7
2. Be grounded in faith before a storm hits you
3. Don't quit in the storm, "faith it" till you make it!
4. Once you receive your promise, don't quit, keep living by faith in preparation for the next process that WILL come.

Great read!

Focus on the desired result, in Christ Jesus

Most things that are really worth having will present some challenges, yet the challenges are not a struggle. We understand that challenges are a necessary part of the process designed to grow us up and help us to appreciate our desired result. This book was such a blessed testimony to me. In a few ways, I felt that I overcame as I read the book, feeling lighter and freer, in Christ Jesus, and knowing I still have a responsibility to continue to follow through and not take my divine healing, deliverance, and favor for granted. Thank you, Dr. DeeDee, and God continue to bless you abundantly. This was definitely a good read.

This book truly blessed me. I was going through something and this book help me focus on what the word of God said about my situation. The transparency in this book is absolutely amazing. It spoke to me. My hats go off to Dee Dee Freeman for being so brave to share her experience. Her faith in God and love for her husband resonated on each page. Thank you!
