How could a group of Portuggese conquistadors from the 1500's be connected to a British raid on old Portobello in Panama and affect a treasure hunt in modern day life? You'll just have to read the book to solve the mystery.
After the nail-biting previous book, Nemesis, this book is refreshing, relaxed, things-are-well-for-the-good-guys book. A fast-paced thriller nonetheless.
Quite a lot of positives: - Heroes are not invulnerable - Combat pragmatism - when outnumbered by large numbers, the good guys adopt realistic methods to even the odds, and don't go all Rambo - Good client, which is a good break from 'rich is evil'
The background history could have been made more interesting, but then I'm nitpicking.
All in all, a nice relaxing read for the thrill-seeker.
