What happens when two people who are supposed to hate each other are stranded together in a winter storm? Cool down after a hot summer with two fun, festive winter romances available together for a limited time.
Moonlight in Winter Park by Samantha Chase - When Hope barges into the mountain retreat of her brother’s boss, demanding that he not be forced to work through the holidays, she doesn’t expect to be trapped alone with him in a snow storm. And she doesn’t expect them to give into the attraction that was there all along. But will the magic still be there when the storm is over?
One Night in the Ice Storm by Noelle Adams - When she returns to her hometown for the holidays, Rachel doesn't expect to be stranded in an ice storm with only David Harris for company. Eight years ago, David took her virginity and then broke her heart, and she doesn't plan to forgive him. She thinks she doesn't care about him anymore, until one hot night...when the ice finally melts.
Samantha Chase is a New York Times and USA Today bestseller of contemporary romance that’s hotter than sweet, sweeter than hot. She released her debut novel in 2011 and currently has more than seventy titles under her belt – including THE CHRISTMAS COTTAGE which was a Hallmark Christmas movie in 2017! She’s a Disney enthusiast who still happily listens to 80’s rock. When she’s not working on a new story, she spends her time reading romances, playing way too many games of Solitaire on Facebook, wearing a tiara while playing with her sassy pug Maylene…oh, and spending time with her husband of 30 years and their two sons in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
I know that I don't want to move furniture... At least, I don't want to move it to another room. I'm pretty content with staying right here in this one and seeing how we can maybe make some of this furniture move.
Dread settled in the pit of her stomach. If Merry's taste in dresses was like her taste in food and everything else in her life, Hope was certain she would pull out something that would be considered conservative by the Amish.
I'm telling you, it was like a Christmas miracle... I think Mr. James must have been visited by those three ghosts that Dickens talked about in that Christmas story because he's like a different man.
One Night In The Snow Storm
She'd always thought he was gentle beneath his tough exterior. That was how he'd seemed growing up. He would beat up bullies at school and take care of stray dogs.
His voice sounded strange - with more texture than it normally had - so she looked up to search his face.
'I had a long way to climb.' The words were soft, uninflected, not bitter, just resigned.
She could still hear him breathing her name, and she wanted to always hear him say it that way. Like she was precious. Like he needed her more than his breath.
I've wanted to be with you for most of my life, and that's never going to change.
My Review:
Stranded consists of two separate stories but two different authors that involve being stranded in cold stormy weather in uncomfortable conditions. Both stories were complete and stand-alone, were written in third person narrative, and provided a satisfying HEA. I could happily park myself and just read both authors for the rest of my days. Moonlight In Winter Park was a sweet and light romance inhabited by prickly characters that I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy - but then - I always do when I read Samantha Chase's stories. One Night in the Ice Storm was my first Noelle Adams reading experience, and it was a highly enjoyable practice that I look forward to repeating. The plot was an easy to follow, emotive, and heart squeezing second chance romance, and the storyline was sweet and steamy.
DNF it was a chore for me to read Moonlight at Winter Park; the dialogue, the storyline, I mean, it was just a woman complaining the whole time, and it's not even her workplace. Past chapter 2 I just couldn't continue, DNF
The first story covered almost 80% of the book - the second short story took up the balance. Both the couples were stranded together because of a snow storm - and both eventually got to their HEA after a series of misunderstandings - perfect reading for a wet and wild day :)
3.5 stars. Rating is for 2nd story: One Night in the Ice Storm as I reviewed the 1st story included in the duet separately . Both were light, fun Christmas stories that will get you in the holiday spirit. I have no idea why I read them in September but they made me smile.
Okay this book was actually made up of two: Moonlight in Winter Park by Samantha Chase and One Night in the Storm by Noelle Adams.
First up, Moonlight:
It was okay. The writing was decent and there were a couple characters I enjoyed.
Hope, for as much as people kept saying she was selfless and sweet and such a kind person, really wasn't all that great to me. She was very judgmental toward her brother's boss, and while some of her views of him were solid, she was horrible in her thoughts on her brother's fiancee. So what if the woman is boring! If her brother is happy with her (and vice versa), with their life, what does it matter that Merry doesn't match up to Hope's ideal? And there was really nothing, no background as to why Hope would feel like this about Merry other than just being judgmental. Another complaint with her was how she acted in regards to G.B. James and her brother's job. Everyone gripes about their job. But Hope took her brother's personally and made it her mission to complain about his work, the company, boss and anything involved with it. Even with Ted telling her to back off, she didn't let up. And when he kicks her out and she's shocked? I would have kicked her out long before that moment.
Not to mention how she really doesn't understand how the business world works. Yes, James needed to learn to be nicer, but in the long run, you can't be your employee's friend otherwise they won't respect you.
Beckett was good. There were moments where I wanted to shake him loose. He needed to lose some control, to relax a little. I liked the set-up that got him there. I liked that he understood very well the perceptions of him and ended up correcting them. He was a little over the top in some reactions, like when Ted needs to leave to be with Merry, because just because he has personal problems doesn't mean everyone else does.
Ted was okay until he started acting exactly like the person he was complaining about. Though he redeemed himself in the end. Mostly. I didn't see Merry enough to form an opinion on her.
I loved Norma. We needed to see more of her.
This story was very instalove. All in the span of a week we go from hating to loving to a broken heart to love again. Really fast for me. It had an okay ending. Slightly unbelievable, but considering how fast they fell in love, I guess it worked.
Now One Night:
I liked this one more.
Though Rachel had a tendency to get on my nerves with her "self-sufficient" talk, I understood what she was doing. David had broken her heart, she was trying to act like he hadn't. But I did want to shake her a few times and tell her to stop!
Though this story was shorter than the other, and we were coming into the middle of Rachel and David's story, I felt more connected to them. I wanted to know why David broke Rachel's heart, what made him do what he did. I needed to know what made David tick. I liked the set up though it was a little too convenient. The ice storm was good, it happens. David just happening to come over during it not so much. But I can let it slide.
I really wanted to know what happened and it took a really long time for the reveal to come. I thought for sure Rachel would ask David once morning came. I thought for sure he'd say something and so when neither did, I was annoyed.
I think Brad should have been Rachel's sister. He was a little too feminine in voice for me. Especially after the storm clears out and he's berating Rachel about David. Though we never meet Grandpa, I wanted to drop kick him. And shake the mom for making excuses for him.
Once the reveal comes out, I was a little disappointed. I like that David came back to make things right. In the long run, regardless of what Brad thought, this really was on David to fix. He made the choice to keep Rachel out of the loop and it hurt her. He may have been hurt too, but at least he knew what was going on.
The ending was quick and easy and though I would have preferred a little more from it, it was okay.
Book two really saved this two parter, to be honest.
Both of these holiday stories are sweet. They both have alpha males who have been hurt deeply and hide it, along with strong women. My favorite kind of couple, both strong! First we have Samantha Chase's book Moonlight in Winter Park with Hope & Beckett who she meets when taking her brother Christmas cookies at work. The second is by Noelle Adams, titled One Night in the Ice Storm and featuring David and Rachel who fell in love as teenagers, but he dumped her the day after sleeping with her, breaking her heart. I would definitely recommend both of these books to all of my friends. If you buy them together in this book like I did, it's even better.
This is a duet, two novellas in one. The first one is very clean; the second one, with some steamy scenes. Both talk about love that sparked because two people got stranded in the middle of a snow storm.
Good winter reads, just to pass the time. Very predictable though, and nothing extraordinary about the plot.
I couldn't get into this novel. 15% into it and so far it's been Predictable. Main character is whiney and NONE of the characters are likeable or sympathetic. Hope and her brother have had the same argument at least 3 times so far, and there's no resolution or growth from said arguments. The trips to his office are repetitive and boring. Not interested in continuing.
Both authors were able to define their characters quickly. This enabled the story line to progress at a normal pace, all within the limited book space. I would recommend this book for those who want a quick read.
This is one of those books that you can read several times without going crazy. Both novels were engrossing . I called them good reading and learning more of human nature.
Did not like Samantha Chase's story, but I loved Noelle's, of course. 'Cause I already read it. Multiple times. So 1 star for Miss Chase and 5 stars for Miss Adams.
this one is a great reading and i only regret that i did not read it during Christmas, it is also one of my favorite time of the year (like Hope's) and i think i would have loved to read these book in front of a fireplace with a hot chocolate with me.
the first story is a sweet one, and it teach us to not judge someone based on first impressions and to get to know the people beyond that. and personally i always want to be in a chateau in the middle of the mountain with someone i love and snow all around us....
Stranded A Winter Romance Duet by Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams I read these two, YES TWO, absolutely FABULOUS books by these two OUTSTANDING authors, Ms. Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams. I know, who wants to read Christmas stories now? But, you know what, we can ALL enjoy a little Christmas love all the time! I enjoy books by these two authors at any time of the year. I am not going to re-write the blurb for both of these book, it would make this review way too long, and you would stop reading before you learn why I loved these stories. First, I love a great Christmas story. Put two stories in the same book… there is more to love. Second, both Ms. Chase and Ms. Adams have a way of bringing their readers into their stories, and making them real. They made me feel all of the emotions within the stories, the happiness, the frustrations, as well as the love between the couples. Third, the love and loving between the couples, you could feel it and almost touch it yourself, it was written so well. Fourth, these two gifted ladies and their stories always make me sad when I finish their books. Why? Because I am finished and there are no more words to read, at least until I find another book of theirs I have not read. NEXT… If you are looking for a fabulously written romance story, this is the book for you, times two. Kudos Ladies on another fantastic read. Thank you for reading my review. Now, go One-Click this book and enjoy it for yourself! I was gifted with a copy of this book for my honest opinion.
Sometimes a sweet easy to read romance is just the right medicine and I found it with Stranded.
Still reeling from the sudden death of their parents Hope and Ted Cooper are about to have their 1st Christmas alone. But for Hope finding out that Ted is required to work Christmas day with his relentless, asshole boss is the last straw. She has seen Mr G.B. James use and abuse Ted for the last 5 yrs. Choosing, or guilted into taking him dinner over a few nights, gives her the opportunity to visit with her brother and spend some time together even if it is at James Enterprises. What she didn’t expect was to meet a man that will turn her world upside down not one, but twice. Beckett is sweet and has her stomach doing those little fluttering feelings and she finds herself looking forward to cooking and seeing Ted if the opportunity to see Beckett again, dressing up a little also helps.
Beckett James is a hardass, simple. He runs a successful company and expects nothing but 150% from all of his employees. But one run in/ meeting with Hope Cooper, younger sister of Ted one of his minions. She doesn’t hold back telling him everything she thinks about G.B. James, telling him what she thinks of the illustrious leader. Beckett is left more than speechless, no one speaks to him like that and although he doesn’t like the information he is enthralled by this little firecracker.
Once Christmas arrives and Hope receives a frantic phone call from Ted ‘s fiancée saying she is unable to reach him. Having no choice Hope tracks down Ted and Mr James at his place in the mountains. The events that follow were almost amusing. Hope discovers Mr James is actually her Beckett, and let it be said, she let’s him have it all over again, then she turns on Ted. He leaves, but without Hope. Yep, he steals her car and left her standing in the foyer of Beckett James home. Uncomfortable much!!!
Being left alone, gives them the opportunity to let everything out and to discover the feelings that are there are certainly not one sided. 2 days, some serious romance and some hot chemistry has Hope and Beckett declaring their feelings to each other. Just when their lives seem perfect Ted returns and all hell breaks loose. Once again the true colours of G.B. James come out leaving a devastated Hope. By the time he realises what he has done he has lost the only person in his life he can’t live without. He’ll have his work cut out for him to win Hope Cooper back.
One Night In The Snow Storm.
This was an excellent little extra surprise. We went from sweet/ love hate to nasty love/hate.
Losing David after sharing a wonderful relationship and emotional encounter, years on Rachel Cole is about to run back into the one man who broke her heart, and ruined love with any other man. While waiting for her mother and brother to return home she discovers that due to the huge snow storm they are stuck in the city, and the evil of her past is about to arrive. Could her life get any worse? Yep.... An ex boyfriend, a sprained ankle, no power and no heat ( well from the radiator anyway )is going to make for a crappy night.
Until they give into their feelings and take that step that will once again change their lives. One night, with some serious chemistry will be the beginning of another relationship. That is until Rachel becomes the jackass and dismisses David , leaving both devastated. Can Rachel fix it in time, or lose the one man who will forever be in her heart?
Hope Cooper wasn't in a very good place. Her parents died a few months ago, her brother, Ted, has to work through the holidays, and it is Christmas. Hope figured she would be by herself for the holidays unless she got an invitation to join her friends.
G.B. James, aka Bennett, was the head of James Enterprises. Everyone at work knew him as Mr. James and he was Ted's boss. Mr. James and Ted were going to work through the holidays out of town. Needless to say, Hope was not happy with Mr. James.
Hope thought since Ted would be gone for Christmas, she would bake cookies and bring him dinner. On her first night at James Enterprises, she was setting up dinner and in walks this man. He introduces himself as Bennett. Hope began to really like Bennett. That was until she found out who he really was.
Hope was on her way to her friends house out of town and she got a phone call from Ted's fiancee. Merry needed to get a hold of him because she had been in a car accident. Hope found out where Ted was from one of the coworkers and she drove to the lodge. She found Ted and told him about Merry. He said that he couldn't leave, his boss wouldn't let him. In walks Mr. James and Hope finds out that the man she has hated for so many years was her Bennett.
Ted took off in Hopes car so he could go home and check on Merry. He stranded Hope at the lodge with Bennett and she was livid. Once she realized Ted wasn't coming back, she decided to get to know Bennett. She discovered that she really liked him. She was even falling in love with him. Bennett was falling for Hope too. Once Ted showed up, Bennett lied to Hope to make her hate him so she would leave.
Bennett became a better person because of Hope. He mended a lot of fences before he went back to Hope to tell her how he really felt. He was in love with her and he was so sorry that lied to her. She forgave him and even said yes to his marriage proposal.
I absolutely loved the story of Hope and Bennett. Love really changes people.
One Night In The Ice Storm by Noelle Adams
Rachel Cole was going home to visit her mom and brother for Christmas. She always dreaded coming back to the small town she grew up in. Everyone knew everything about everybody. The one main reason Rachel didn't really want to go home is David Harris. Rachel had loved him since she was a young girl and still did.
David Harris was Rachel's brother's best friend. He was two years older than Rachel. She didn't care that he was older. She just knew she loved him. Back when Rachel was 17 and David was 19, she lost her virginity to him. Rachel was so happy until David broke up with her. He didn't say anything, he just avoided her.
8 years later, while Rachel was at her mother's house, David showed up. Rachel was mean to him. She was still very hung up on him. She wanted to know what happened to make him leave her so many years ago. Both of them were stubborn but still very attracted to each other. While the weather continued to get worse, Rachel and David tried to stay busy and warm and that turned into a night of cuddling and lovemaking. Rachel was trying keep her distance but couldn't.
David meant as much to Rachel as she meant to him. The secrets came out that explained why David had walked away from Rachel 8 years ago. It all made since but left a lot of questions unanswered.
Stranded is a duet of cute romances featuring one of my favorite tropes - people who get stuck together and end up falling in love. I don't know why I love stories like these so much, since usually that means the romance must move quickly, but I do. And these two were no exception.
First up we have Moonlight in Winter Park by Samantha Chase. This one was cute and even though Hope, the main character, could be a bit judgmental at times I still enjoyed it. The holidays are coming up and it is going to be a rough one this year and she is looking forward to spending it with her brother. Only he has to work on Christmas. And won't even be nearby so she won't be able to see him at all. How can his boss make him do such a thing? Doesn't his boss have a heart?
When Hope starts stopping by to have dinner with her brother, one of the few times she gets to see him since he works such crazy hours, she keeps running into Beckett who also works there. Apparently the boss is demanding of everyone and when her brother has to go back to work it is Beckett who keeps her company. They were really cute together even if Hope was always railing on her brother's boss.
So then after Hope's brother goes off to work with his boss and he is needed at home, Hope sets off to find him and let him know what is going on. Only she ends up stuck out at a remote cabin alone with his boss! Who she hates, but maybe isn't all that bad when she really gets to know him. Oh Beckett was adorable. I understand why he puts up walls, but he also doesn't seem to understand some social interactions and stuff. I loved him and he was so sweet and it was great watching him relax a little bit. This was one of those stories where they are stuck together and manage to figure everything out. Really a cute read.
Then we have One Night in the Ice Storm by Noelle Adams. Oh how I loved this one. Not only does Rachel get stuck in a snowstorm with someone, but the someone ends up being her brothers best friend/the guy who broke her heart. She is still not really over him, but she is too proud to let anyone see that. Really she has always been too proud to let anyone know how much he hurt her in the past so when she gets stuck with him no one thinks it will be a big deal. Rachel was fun. She is one of those people that wants to be able to do everything herself and doesn't want help from anyone, especially not David. She doesn't want to want anything from him so when he starts bossing her around trying to help it was entertaining. You could just see that these two were still so hung up on each other.
Now as for David, yes he did do some not so nice things in the past, but he had his reasons. Overall he is a really great guy. One of those people who will do anything for someone in need. They have a bit to work out, but once they do it will be amazing. I loved them both and loved this story.
So yeah. If you enjoy stories where people get stranded and fall in love then this is the duet for you. Both were really sweet, fun reads and will definitely go on my re-read list for the holidays.

Stranded: A Winter Romance Duet is by Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams. It is a combination of two books, Moonlight in Winter Park and One Night in the Ice Storm. This two for one is fantastic. They are really good romance stories that make you laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time. They are well written and definitely realistic. Moonlight in Winter Park is by Samantha Chase. It is about siblings and their relationships. Hope is upset with her brother Ted. He has just told her he won’t be around for Christmas this year. He will be out of town working. He assured her it was just fine with his fiancée, Merry, because Merry had picked up extra rotations at her hospital. They were saving for their marriage. Hope doesn’t care, this means she will be left alone on the first Christmas after they lost their parents. She also blames Ted’s boss for not being more empathetic about the people who work for him. He should remember they have lives outside his business. Of course, Ted won’t say anything to his boss because Ted admires him and also wants a promotion. So, to ease Ted’s having to stay late again at work, Hope decides to take him dinner. While she is leaving, she runs into a man named Bennett with whom she is immediately attracted. Who is Bennett? A few days before Christmas, Hope is on her way to spend Christmas with a friend when Merry frantically calls needing to get in touch with Ted. She has been in a car accident and needs him. Hope finds where he is and drives in the snow to Mr. James’s house. Ted opens the door and starts berating her for coming and interrupting their work. He is worried about Merry when Hope tells him why she is there; but he won’t stand up to Mr. James when he is told he can’t leave. Hope is berating Ted about Mr. James when he walks in. Startled, Hope realizes Mr. James is Bennett! While she is spending her wrath on Bennett, Ted leaves in her car leaving her stranded with Mr. James! One Night In The Ice Storm is by Noelle Adams. It is also great. Rachel Cole had left Richmond and driven through worsening weather to her Mother’s house only to find her Mother has gone to Richmond with Rachel’s brother Brad. Due to the weather, they will not be coming home that night but are worried about Rachel. After reassuring them she is fine, she sees a truck coming up the drive. The drive is extremely icy and the truck ends up in a ditch. No one gets out of the truck nor tries to move it so Rachel rushes out to help. She knows the truck belongs to an ex-boyfriend, David. He has come to pick up a saw from Brad. Rachel is beside herself. She has had a crush on David from the time she was ten. However, at seventeen, David dropped her with no explanation. Devastated, she went on to high school and college and has survived. Now she is stranded with David at her Mother’s house. Hopefully, the storm will quit and they can leave tomorrow. What about tonight?
Wow!!! I just loved this book. It has all the elements that make a great book. I'm telling you Samantha Chase knows how to write a book. She has talent. Her books are amazing. If you never read one of her books you just have no idea what you are missing out on.
In Moonlight in Winter Park we meet Hope Cooper and Beckett James. Two totally opposite people.
Hope Cooper wants to spend Christmas with her brother. A few months before Hope and her brother Ted lost their parents. Hope is still coming to terms with their death. When Ted has to work Hope grows very angry at his boss whom she refers to as "The Beast".
Beckett James hates the holidays and everything about the Holidays. His only focus is to grow his business. He has no time for silly things like distractions and romance and relationships. He rightfully has earned his nickname "The Beast"
When circumstances force Hope with Beckett to be together at his ski lodge. When they come together things begin to heat up.
Samantha Chase writes another amazing story of love and loss and hope and it is just perfect. Samantha Chase has a writing style I just love. All of her stories are like magic. This story was no different. There was no denying that Hope and James would somehow find that common, middle ground and just go from there. I felt myself laughing and crying and my heart really swooned. This is just a must read for all romance lovers. I have nicknamed the characters Beauty and the Beast.
I highly recommend this book. I give it 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. The perfect romance. Grab yours and fall in love the way I did.
One Night In The Ice Storm by Noelle Adams
Wow! I really love Noelle Adams. I began reading her books through Samantha Chase. I read a book they both wrote and fell in love with Noelle. She is a great author and I love her books. She has a writing style I love.In one Night in The Ice Storm we meet Rachel and David. David is Rachel's brothers best friend. Rachel lost her virginity to David and had feelings for him. when Rachel comes home to visit her mother she gets stranded at her mother's home with David in an ice storm. At first Rachel is distant and cold towards David. Eventually things begin to heat up. As the night progresses Rachel learns the truths of the past.
I loved this story. I loved the chemistry between Rachel and David. Noelle did a beautiful job with this story. This is a must read.
I highly recommend this story. I give it 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.
Stranded: A Winter Romance is a great book. It doesn't get any better than this. You get 2 great stories by two great authors wrapped up into one great book. This is the sweet life. So grab your copy and read it and see why both these ladies are amazing authors.
Moonlight in Winter Park is Samantha Chase's entry of the duet.
Hope absolutely detests her brother’s boss G.B. James even though she hasn’t met him. He is forcing her brother to work over Christmas and New Year’s, in addition to the crazy hours he is already expected to work for not enough pay. To top it off, he has just fired the sweet security guard for no apparent reason.
One night shortly before Christmas, Hope runs into Beckett when she is delivering dinner to her brother at work. Little does she know, but Beckett is none other than G.B. Beckett is immediately drawn to Hope, but keeps his true identity to himself when he finds out that Hope hates G.B.
After her brother’s fiancé is in a car accident, Hope tracks him down at G.B.’s lodge as his phone was off. It is only then that Hope discovers that G.B. and Beckett are one and the same. Her brother takes off in Hope’s car, leaving her stranded with Beckett in a snow storm. As they are forced to spend time together, their attraction takes hold and Hope begins to see Beckett’s walls come down.
You will need to read the story to see why Beckett is the way he is, why her brother leaves her stranded and if Hope and Beckett can overcome their final difference to build a future together. This is a wonderful romance full of holiday magic.
One Night in an Ice Storm is a short novella by Noelle Adams and is a super quick, sweet holiday read about second chances.
Back when they were teenagers, David broker Rachel’s heart. Ever since then, she has managed to either avoid him on her visits home or at least to put on an air of indifference, usually the latter as he is her brother’s best friend and always seems to be around. When she arrives home in an ice storm on Christmas Eve, she finds that her brother and mother won’t be able to get back home until the next morning. Her brother also informs her that David is already on his way to drop something off. When he arrives, he ends up stranded with her overnight. With old hurts and misunderstandings standing between them, will they take advantage of their forced time together to clear the air, or will their stubbornness allow them to let the opportunity pass.
Both of these authors have become “must reads” of mine over the past year, and these two stories definitely fit the mold. A perfect duet for the holidays, or any other time of the year.
Hope hates her brothers job and his boss. Though she has never met him, she thinks he's a tyrant making her brother sacrifice so much for so little. She makes her hatred well known to anyone who will listen really.
Beckett is a man who runs his company with a steel fist. He's harsh, ruthless, and unapologetic which makes him scary. Though his employees look up to him they're also afraid.
We have two people who have lost people in their life that they look to things to cling on. Hope has lost her parents to a car accident and only has her brother. Beckett lost his father and now has his company to keep him bust. So when they butt heads so much how is it that they can connect with each other? Will their stubbornness get in the way of the things they want??
For this being a short story you get so much detail and information on these characters that it feels like a full novel. The way that the story progresses is stable and rich that you don't feel like it's all that short! Though I could have done without all the stubbornness and anger it was a very well written short story that is pretty enjoyable.
One night in the ice storm
I'm very new to this author but I can safely say that I like her writing style. It's descriptive, clean, and flows.
Rachel was left heartbroken for the last 8 years by David Harris, the boy who had her love and took her virginity. She learned to show only what she wanted him to see so he believe that she was fine with how things ended when in reality it was the complete opposite. She was so devastated and still is. So when she is stranded with David for the night she is aggressive towards him and all he's doing is trying to help.
I liked that the emotions seemed real and the chemistry between the two is strong especially for a short story. You don't need all that much background from the two because the author makes it clear with their actions.
Overall a good time!
