Loved it! This novella is the story of Dr. Ruth Cabot and the Omega Team Operative, Risk. He has been sent to get her back to safety in Boston by the Team hired by her mother. She is having none of that and is driving gum crazy because she refuses to leave until she treats all her patients in the African village. He finally has to literally pick her up and put her in the jeep.
When she tells him on the plane that she will not be returning to Boston because her mother is trying to kill her he makes a decision to hide her at his family's ranch in Wyoming.
When she gets shot and grazed they no for sure someone is definitely trying to kill her, and Risk will put himself in front of her no matter what and promises to protect her.
Moving Doc into his quarters is harder than it should be. He wants her and she is making it easy. They've gone from snarling at one another to comforting each other and it changes everything.
When Risk gets a lead and he and Jesse, his brother, go check it out Doc gets an unexpected visitor at the ranch and she leaves to keep Katie and her kids safe. Leaving Risk a hint in the message she gives Katie that lets him know she has been kidnapped.
Will Risk be able to get to her in time? Is her mother really the one trying to kill her? Will she and Risk see where this all goes? You'll have to read to see. Is a great quick read for an evening or a few hours one day.

These novellas in the Omega team kindle series are not only a joy to read but I also really enjoy reading them. This novella by Ms. Shaye Harting is a new author for me was a quick steamy read which in a sense I did wish for a longer story but I was still happy with it anyway. Even though this is the first book of Ms. Harting’s I have read, the story felt complete despite the short length and the characters were pretty complex.
Clarence “Risk” Campbell is one of the newest members of the Omega team and on his first mission to remove Dr. Ruth Cabot from a war ridden place in Africa. Unfortunately Ruth won’t go willingly with Risk and fights him at every turn. When Risk decides to take Ruth back to her mother in Boston Ruth balks at the idea and tells Risk her horrible secret about her mother. Can Risk protect Ruth from not only her mother but others that want to harm her?
After first reading about Risk I just couldn’t help but like him. I liked his take charge bossy attitude with witty dry sarcastic demeanor despite being a little bit abrasive was still enough for me be charmed by him. Risk was also protective, sweet, loved his family and quite sensitive. Ruth on the other hand did annoy me a little bit. I did like her ability to care for others and understand that feeling all too well but I didn’t like how she treated Risk at times even though he was just trying to protect her. I did want more into Ruth’s family background if Risk and Ruth get married settling in Wyoming. I also would have liked to read Jesse and Katie’s story that is if they have one. I guess in actuality I wasn’t ready for the story to be over so soon I still plan on reading more books from Ms. Harting though.

This is a short fun read....its not a bad book but its not an i am over my head book.
I liked the connection between the characters and the plot.

Clarence "Risk" Campbell has to convince his first assignment with Omega Team, Dr. Ruth Cabot, that she's in danger from rebels who want to overthrow the tiny African country. But they need to leave NOW, so he grabs her up and is able to get her to the airport before the rebels arrive. Omega Team has been hired by her mother, a US Senator, to rescue her where she's been volunteering at clinics. But when he hears how she's escaped being killed three times, he decides to step in and take her to his ranch while he finds out who has motive to kill her. But can he bury his attraction to Ruth?
Dr. Ruth Cabot comes from old Boston money, but when she manages to thwart the person from trying to kill her for her trust fund, she decides to go to Africa and volunteer her medical skills. Running With Risk is a great, exciting and quick read and will have you going, "I didn't see that coming" once the would be killer is revealed.

I love this Kindle World series and this story is a good addition to it. This novella is a quick read. Perfect for by the pool or at the beach and it is a standalone with no cliffhanger. Some violence. There is hot steamy sex so definitely 18+. You won't be disappointed taking a chance on this story.
The book blurb gives a good description of the storyline so I'm not going to repeat all of that here. Even though it's short, the author manages to explain who the main characters, Risk and Ruth, are and how they came to be together in Africa. And to give a brief explanation of the Omega Team and what they do. I loved the vivid imagery that came with the author's description of Wyoming and the Campbell ranch.

When I began this book, I was mildly irritated. Ruth is an adult, and a physician. What right does Risk and the Omega Team have to forcibly return her to the United States on the say so of her Congresswoman mother? However, he is a decent guy and he does believe her when she says someone is trying to kill her, and he does his best to keep her safe, and he hot, so I forgave him. Ruth is feisty and smart, and I liked her too. This quick read is a nicely written little romance with a touch of suspense and I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed reading Running with Risk. It was a fast paced read that was well balaced between romance and suspense.
before Risk and Ruth can begin a relationship the pair must deal with whose out to hurt her. While the plot was a bit predictable couple was cute and kept me reading. .
I wish this story would have had an additional chapter or two.

Running With Risk by Shaye Harting....Wow, this book kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved that is book is a quick entertaining read that you can do in one sitting. The story holds your attention all the way through with suspense, action, hot sex and great characters. Risk and Ruth are very well written and developed and I enjoyed watching their stories unfold. You do not want to miss this book, it is very entertaining. I was given a complimentary book for an honest review.

Running With Risk was a quick and entertaining read. This novel had romance, mystery, and lots of action in it which kept you hooked until the end. Risk and Ruth were cute together and the attraction was there from the start. I loved how he never stopped protecting her. This novel had steamy scenes and a HEA ending. It was an enjoyable read.

I like how the story started out with action. Having said that, it did get a little slow for several pages. I wish the book was a little bit longer, that would make the love story a little more believable. There was enough action to keep it interesting and the plot line was different which was nice.

This was my first book by Shaye Harting and I am looking forward to reading more of her books. Risk and Ruth had a fast and exciting adventure and seem well suited to each other. I plan to read earlier books in this series. Hope you enjoy it I did.

I liked this book! Risk and Ruth truly had appeal. Reason for 4 stars is a felt there could of been more details, but overall a great story! I recieved this book for an honest review.
