Rainbow Magic with whiskers! When Maisie moves to the seaside with her mum and dad she feels desperately lonely. Her best friends at home seem to have forgotten about her and her new school doesn't even start for a couple of weeks yet. Then one day on the beach, Maisie finds a tiny tabby kitten with big emerald eyes who looks just as lonely as she does, and suddenly a magical summer looks to be on the horizon . . .
Sue was born in Northampton where she still lives. For many years she worked for Northamptonshire libraries and remains a passionate supporter of Public Libraries. Sue loves everything about books, the feel of them, their smell. the way they look. And has a habit of matching a bookmark to the cover of each book she's reading. The process of reading, the feel of the book, carrying it around in her shoulder bag, sitting in favourite cafes reading all make for a complete sensory experience. Browsing bookshops old and new, talking all things bookish with other book lovers, spending time with other writers and meeting with fans of her own books at author events are her favourite things. That and eating good quality dark chocolate, while writing.
I would have loved these books as a kid, so I'm allowed to make fun of them now. I practically burst out laughing when the kitten started talking. I totally get it though--the combination of cute animals and a little bit of magic is irresistible.
I read this as part of a three in one book. But that's not listed here.
Occasional but noticeable grammar and spelling errors.

Little girl is sad over the day the lion prince/magic kitten will have to leave. Little girl attends a big event for her particular passion. Evil uncle finds lion prince/magic kitten. Lion prince/magic kitten leaves.
Message Put yourself out there.
Little kids or girls, since this is clearly aimed at girls, need better stories than this.
Two things I will give it is that it's cute and most little girls do indeed like those stereotypical interests
I liked this book because this girl named Maisie found a kitten that needed to be protected. The kitten is a magical kitten! While they're exploring with some friends, they get into a fight with their friends.

Livre parfait pour les préados/ados. Je me souviens de dévorer cette collection pendant des journées entières quand j'étais en 5ème. J'adorais ces livre et je les relis avec plaisir et nostalgie.
The main character in the story is Prince Flame, he is a lion which is running away from Uncle Ebony who is trying to kill him and take away his throne. I like Louise best, she is Joel's sister. I felt that i wanted to read more about the Magic Kitten series after reading. I felt that the story is very interesting and very very NICE! My favourite part is when Maisie and Prince Flame helps Mr and Mrs Simpson to decorate the old shop. The book is a fiction genre. The setting is when Maisie moves to the seaside and has no friends, and here comes Flame. Problem: Maisie has no friends Summary: Maisie was exploring in the beach when she saw Flame, there she found out that Flame was actually a lion and is magical. Maisie decided to take care of Flame. They became best of friends. Soon, Maisie met two new friends and they had fun everyday at the beach. Soon, Flame had to go.
My 6 year old daughter and me read these books together and she loves them! These our her new favorite chapter books and she can't wait to read the next one! It's magical, funny, and sincere all at the same time! The star raitings on these always come from my daughter! I would be more inclined to give it 3-4 stars.
I remember several things from this book, but not the mystery mentioned in the title. I liked the setting, the conflict with the boy neighbor, and the character of the girl neighbor.
