Some Will Fly, Others Will Fall in the Final Battle Between Angels and Humans! How do you save the world from a secret, super-powered army that seems to create ten new soldiers for every one you kill? Siblings Maya, Tarren, and Gabe Fox are tired…and they’re losing the war they’ve been fighting their whole lives. To add insult to this injury-pie, a dangerous and growing cult threatens to finally expose their hidden war against the angels. With nerves frayed and losses mounting, Maya and her brothers must figure out an end game before the enemy overwhelms them. Probably not a great time for painful secrets to come rushing up from the past; secrets with the power to cleave apart the once unbreakable bond of family. Then again… no one said life was fair. Humanity's future is on the line in FLYING and so are the souls of its protectors. This fifth and final volume in the GIRL WITH BROKEN WINGS series gives readers a harrowing ride through the eyes of Maya, Tarren, and Gabe. Before the dust settles, each one will have to decide how much more they are willing to sacrifice for the ones they love. Dive inside J Bennett's darkly humorous paranormal world one more time for the most emotional and intense volume in the series. Backs up against the wall, the Fox family will need to put up the fight of their lives in this epic conclusion. No one is making it out of this fight without new scars…if they make it out at all! J Bennett crafts a beautifully written finale with Flying, by far my favorite installment in the GWBW series. It has everything—action, wit, and flawed, human characters that never stop playing with your emotions. I was enthralled from beginning to end, completely satisfied when I turned the final page. ~ Lindsey Pogue, The Ending Series This paranormal vigilante book contains way too much violence, creative cursing, and oh-so-steamy sex If you love urban fantasy, super powers, and kick ass female vigilantes, then you are going to love FLYING. This urban fantasy super powers fiction has it all, including a gripping ending that will force you to keep reading. Try this science fiction super powers novel today.

The final installment in the Girl with Broken Wings series is my favorite. Not just because secrets are revealed or that the Fox siblings epitomize sacrifice, or that there is a future and a hope waiting for them if they can stop the angels ... nope, it’s because in this final chapter of the saga, Maya, Gabe and Tarren all share telling the story!

And wow are there some big reveals from Tarren! And even if Gabe is separated from his siblings and experiences the greatest losses, he also has grown tremendously as a character ... still charming and funny and so so so sarcastic.

Maya, of course, she’s the central character who is complex and layered as Tarren, but also lighter even with the angel hunger inside of her. It’s amazing how much she also grows and learns, and still is willing to lay her life down for her brothers and they for her.

Of course, I loved that the author gave us insights into the characters following that epic ending that had me crying big fat tears. So so so good, I didn’t want to say goodbye to these characters!

First of all, I want to start off by saying that I don't commonly write book reviews, especially thoughtful, extensive ones. BUT all that changes when I believe in an author so much and love their story so deeply that you want to share it with the world. That being said, I'm prepared to write a lengthy reflection on J Bennett's Girl With Broken Wings Series. Just how much did I enjoy this five book series? I didn't like it, I fell in love with it.

Could not put it down! I've read and re-read this series and loved it.

A unique story line I have never come across. As a whole story it's great. Should have bought the boxed set and saved some money. Two stories in and I was hooked. I kept reading late into the night when I should have been sleeping but couldn't put it down. I wonder how Lo will react when his best friend/real father figure comes back to life. Loved the ending (never figured little Tammy) I probably will re-read the whole series again at another time because I enjoyed all of the characters so much. Thanks for WRITING this series.

The rare series that sticks the landing.

Surprisingly affecting for something that felt like Supernatural meets Buffy at the beginning. Over the course of the series the characters and concepts develop a richness far exceeding that elevator pitch. Wraps up loose ends but leaves a breathing world behind. Very satisfying. Well done, good sir.

Well, this book had me crying and laughing and crying for an altogether different reason. I love the characters. Their roles and relationships are well developed and believable. I want to be part of this family...Chuck Norris sleeps with the lights on because the dark is afraid of him.

My absolute favorite book in the series. I wanted it to keep going and prayed for an epilogue. I'm sad that the series is over but what a great conclusion and emotional goodbye to the Fox siblings.

Wow! What a finale! I just finished the final book of the Girl with Broken Wings series by J Bennett. This is the longest book of the series (which is a good thing) and Ms. Bennett did an excellent job of tying up all the loose ends and bringing the adventure to a satisfying close. If you have just come across this series, I strongly recommend starting with the first book, so that you can enjoy all the twists and turns throughout the whole odyssey. I have certainly greatly enjoyed following the exciting adventures of Maya, Gabe and Tarren from the first page of Book one, “Falling”, through “Landing”, “Rising”, “Leaping”, and to the last page of “Flying”. You don’t want to miss a single Chuck Norris joke! If you have been following the series, then don’t wait another moment before snagging the concluding volume of this sensational paranormal saga.

What a ride! The author did a great job of taking the reader through the ups and downs from the perspectives of the main characters. Ms. Bennett has an enviable command of language and is able to mesmerize the reader with vivid scenes with the minimum of words. This story is a total immersive experience for the reader. One feels that one is there with the characters in the exciting and perilous scenes in the story.

“Flying” is a totally worthy conclusion to a unique, well-written first-class paranormal adventure series. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Bennett comes up with next and expect she’ll wow us with more exciting fantasy stories with unique ideas and great characters.

I absolutely enjoyed this series!! I tried not to read this last book so fast, so she read here and there since it came out. It crushed me to get to the last page. Is it selfish of me to want more? I think not. Here's wishing for another in the future.
