Falling for a Single Mom

Rate this book
USA Today Bestselling Author Donna Fasano brings you two stories that feature strong female leads. No one on this earth is more resilient than a single mom. She has to be. Her children are vulnerable, and they’re depending on her to create a nurturing, loving environment. But single moms deserve caring and affection, too. Come along as fate forces… er, ah… helps Julia and Lainey find the men of their dreams. (Goodness knows, these single moms are both too busy to find love on their own!)

This Duet Bundle

HER FAKE ROMANCE

“Mom, get a life!”

Her teenage daughter's words are daunting. True, struggling single mom Julia Jones hasn't had a date in over a decade, but she could still catch a man—if she needed to! So Julia, who claims not to want a husband, finds herself entangled in a fake romance.

Ryan Shane is tall, dark, and devastatingly handsome. And he just so happens to need a no-strings date himself. Their plan is perfectly thought out. Until one conveniently staged good-night kiss turns into very inconvenient passion...

TAKE ME, I’M YOURS

Derek Mitchell has learned the hard way to never trust a beautiful woman. So although he would always be indebted to Lainey Adams for thwarting a kidnapping attempt on his beloved daughter, he isn't about to show his gratitude by offering his heart on a silver platter! But what's the brooding bachelor to do when his matchmaking millionaire father rewards Lainey's heroism—by giving her a share of the family fortune? Despite Derek's love phobia, something about the beguiling single mom touches his soul, filling him with hope... and desire. Yet he senses that she is keeping secrets—the kind that could shatter his world.

Growing up the third child of five—yes, smack dab in the middle and the only girl to boot—Donna Fasano had no idea she would one day be a published author. Her story-telling talents came to light when she conjured lively and elaborate tales of pure blarney (yes, she has a bit of Irish in her blood) for her children.

Donna is a USA Today bestselling author of over forty novels. Be sure to follow her on BookBub: https://www.bookbub.com/authors/donna...

Sweet romance

A sweet romantic duet of tales about single motherhood and romance. In the first , single mom of a teenage girl, Julia founds love with her culinary partner's brother.
Lainey wants to start a day care...only a dream since her husband's death, but a chance meeting at the beach not only makes it possible... but also brings her a romantic interest.

Sometimes I just want to escape with a fun, flirty romance novel. And Falling for a Single Mom has two! Both sweet romances with strong female leads. I don't want to give away the plots because I don't want to spoil it for anyone else, but let's just say I hope I don't ever find myself in the kinds of messes Julia and Lainey made. But definitely fun to read about when it's happening to someone else!

Lainey and Derek

I had just finished Her Fake Romance when I found this double book in my library. There is a review posted on that book. Needless to say I really enjoyed reading it. Which is why I read
Take me I'm yours
Our story starts with Lainey and Brian on the beach. They see a little girl looking lost. Its not tourist season yet so there isn't very many on the beach. Brian insists she doesn't belong to any family near them. About that time someone grabs her up. She is crying and screaming. Lainey runs after him wanting to find out why Abbie is crying. After a struggle he lets the girl go and takes off. Ofter finding Poppie he hears the story and spends the afternoon talking to Lainey. He was so easy to talk to. She told him her history and her plans for a daycare. They went for an ice cream and he told her he wanted to give her something to help with her Plans .
That evening Derek came barging in demanding the check back. He accused her of preying on sick old man.
What a lovely story. Albert trying to spend as much time with his granddaughter as he could. Lainey trying to do what is right even though it was driving a shaft between herself and Derek. Albert what a clever man saw what was needed and just how to get it done. Brian such a clever young man.

Her Fake Romance
4 stars
Teen pregnancy, a over protective parent, and a happy ending. When Gold Ribbon Catering owner and single mom Julia's fourteen year old daughter Kelly challenges the house rules, Julia enlists her business partner Charlotte's cousin Ryan's help in a mutually beneficial plan of "Friendship Dates" which backfires when attraction takes over.

Take Me, I'm Yours

I purchased Ocean City Boardwalk series book :Take Me, I'm yours by Donna Fasano and this review was given freely.
Family oriented single mom and Day Care owner Lainey becomes involved with business focused single dad and billionaire Derek.
A poignant full length romance with heroism, a legacy, irony, good use of foreshadowing, attraction at first sight, scheming in the form of the mother of Derek's child, and lots of conflict make this an entertaining and interesting read.

Falling for a Single Mom by Donna Fasano

I previously read and reviewed both of these books individually for BigAl’s Books and Pals. I have condensed my reviews for brevity and you are welcome to read my original reviews on the review blog site.

Ms. Fasano has a wonderful way of bringing her characters to life. I swear she uses magic to weave her stories together, and the journeys she takes her characters on are always enlightening and heartfelt. Ms. Fasano writes endearing stories that are perfect to enjoy during a summer vacation or curl up with on a cold winter’s night.

HER FAKE ROMANCE: 5 Stars
Her Fake Romance was HOT, and the sexual tension starts at the very beginning and never lets up. Ms. Fasano offers the perfect balance of narrative, description, and dialogue in this character driven story. I love the way she allows us into Julia's and Ryan's thoughts, both trying to protect their hearts for different reasons.

Cherry, the gold digger, and Kelly, Julia's fourteen-year-old daughter, provide the perfect amount of conflict that brings Ryan and Julia together. The fully fleshed out characters are realistic, intelligent, and their story is heartwarming. Ms. Fasano added just the right amount of heat to keep me reading, and the mother/daughter scenes were very touching. The emotional journey for both Julia and Ryan is exceptional. I applaud this author's insight into human nature and sensibilities.

TAKE ME, I’M YOURS: 4 Stars
Take Me, I’m Yours hits the ground running with a kidnapping attempt on the beach of a four year-old girl who has gotten away from her grandfather. Lainey Adams is able to rescue four year old Abbie Mitchell from her would-be abductor and return the child safely to her frantic grandfather, Alfred Mitchell. Alfred offers Lainey a substantial reward for finding his grand-daughter and returning her unharmed.

Abbie's father, sexy single-dad Derek Mitchell, has learned the hard way to never trust a beautiful woman, and resents Alfred offering Lainey the reward and takes it away from her. But Alfred has the last laugh when he writes Lainey into his will, throwing Lainey right in Derek’s path. Lainey is a smart woman and stays true to her character no matter what it costs. Regardless of what happens, she keeps her integrity throughout. Derek is taken with Lainey, but because of his pride he has lots issues to work through. He has a hard edge because of his history with Abbie's mother, and the tension was almost unbearable for me. He is a smart man with a big heart, but I was afraid the odds were too big to get past all of his issues. I was on an emotional roller coaster.

One of the delights in this story are the kids, Lainey's son, Brian, and Derek's daughter, Abbie, were perfectly written. I love the way they interacted with the adults in this story. How the author conveys the interactions of her characters through their actions and dialogue is plain magic. Donna Fasano has yet to disappoint me with the way she captures authentic scenarios for her characters to grow in a totally believable way.
