Rick Rusaw and Brian Mavis, co-authors of “The Neighboring Church,” say loving your neighbor begins with learning their name. The next steps are to offer a helping hand and a listening ear.

“We love our neighbors because we are Christians, not because we are trying to make them Christians,” said Mavis.

I have this book five stars for one basic reason: practical and useable examples. I use this book more like a how-to-munual. I just wish more churches did. The insights in the book are gained from the experience of its authors, but also from submissions both other practitioners.

Just a really wonderful resource.

I also wrote a blog about this book and you can read that online here: https://we-are-neighbors.blogspot.com...
