I read this book the the boys and we all enjoyed it. It is a fast paced story, that is nice and Australian. It may not be so realistic that after all that happened to it the egg could hatch, but still. It is a fun short read. There is a bit of a theme of revenge that is not so good and the MC also hides things from his parents and is deceitful at times which is not so good. But he does realize that in some cases, and I also enjoyed his family relationship. Most of the time he is fairly good though.

Gripe about real life vs what works with the story: I'm pretty certain an egg can't be thrown about and still be o.k.
