I really enjoyed reading this book. It emphasized how important it is to be proactive with your professional life and brought up great questions to consider if the company you're at is currently serving you or not.
The information feels timely and relevant to what I observe in the workforce today. Well-written and easy to read, Morag and Linda provide thoughts and advice that will help leaders actively engage in the conversation about how to shape their organizations and stay competitive, rather than merely react to the changes underway.
The "Thought Questions" at the end of each chapter were very useful. They not only reinforced the key takeaways of the chapter but also helped me think through how to apply the lessons into my specific organization. Within a week of finishing the book, I referenced the sections on culture and on principles during a discussion with colleagues.
Really enjoyed this book and its relevance to how the workplace is changing. Found that the topics in this book make for great discussion topics for leaders to consider as they realize that the status quo needs to change. The book is an easy read with great action items / challenge questions at the end of each chapter to help with considerations and to identify action items from each chapter.
