Liu Ming, since he was young, lived in a savage prison named Savage Island where the prisoners aren’t controlled by any guard or security. When the island sinks due to “mysterious” events, only a handful of people survive – those survivors are then pursued by the government.
On the other hand, two practitioners are worrying about what will happen to them because the young master that they were supposed to protect had died.
This really just ends in the middle of a massive cliffhanger. Annoying. This book has so much potential but it ends up lacking severely. The world is interesting, but the main character is just too lucky. He isn't invincible or particularly good at things, so he almost fails and than through very lucky circumstances gets something super beneficial that helps him progress leaps beyond what should be possible. It gets old real fast. The story is mostly him training though it doesn't really describe much of the actual training. Then how was this so longwinded, when so little actually happened? I have no idea. I read about 4 years (6,5 if you count the years in the special room) in 100 chapters, and barely anything happened. Also, deciding the passage of time by cups of tea was an interesting choice.
